sitting in indiana? >> well, todd, start out by saying a lot of rules that were actually considered to be concessions or agreements, they were not something done by the 21 hard liners. a list of rule accepted and approved in gop conference prior to first vote being held, which is why my vote went to kevin mccarthy. things like motion to vacate the chair, 72 hour notice, single subject bill and ger mainness, allow to target and investigate weaponization of federal government, request of three-fifth super majority to pass tax increasing, blocking the 87,000 i.r.s. agents, all things agreed upon and accepted prior to the first vote. so there was already, in my

opinion, accountability on the chair, transparency for the american people, making sure we have energy independence, making sure the border is clear and a big omnibus bill. a lot of things had been done prior to the first vote, to clear that up for the american people. >> ashley: jim jordan says they will come together, do you foresee another issue issue not an issue, situation like we saw last week? >> cory: i think democracy, it is great we are debating issuing on the floor. that is what the american people want to see. do i think certain people are upset there are committee assignments? of course, that bothers me, it should go through the regular order and process. i will say when it comes to securing border, getting

up watching football surrounded by friends and family. he has a nasal canula, requiring some low level of oxygen. when you have cardiac arrest, that is complete stop of your heart, different from heart attack. when you have cardiac arrest outside hospital, the survival rate is about 12%. they gave him cpr within minutes and shocked him back into rhythm, that is what saved his life. they will continue to walk for brain injury, meaning any damage to the brain from not having enough blood pumped there and will do major testing on his heart to make sure there are no residual effects. he could be in rehab within the week. >> todd: that is awesome, damar

hamlin posting, the love has been overwhelming, i'm thankful for every person that prayed for me and reached out. there were a lot of number threes on field throughout the nfl himself, could damar hamlin be on the field next season playing? >> prayer is a powerful thing and he had the world praying for him. >> todd: you are not saying he could be on the field in the 2023 season. >> i didn't say that i'm cautiously optimistic, they would have to weigh risk versus benefits, if it happened before, he is at higher risk in the future, this is a decision between damar hamlin, his physicians and his family. if he does not have neurological or cardiac damage, it is possible he could be cleared to play, that will be his decision.

>> todd: police are searching for the man who shot and killed a robbery suspect in houston, texas. inside a taco shop, the suspect dressed in all black pointing his gun at customers demanding money. a customer pulled out a weapon and pull the trigger killing the suspect, he picked up the money and returned to every customer before leaving the scene. police say they need to speak with him. >> ashley: investigators are puzzled as to why the surviving roommate waited eight hours before calling police that night. former fbi agent joins me now, good morning to you.

>> good morning, thank you for having me. >> ashley: no problem. what do you make of this? what are your thoughts on the fact the roommate waited eight hours after she saw this alleged killer? >> i think this was comly frozen in fear, judging from the affidavit. from somebody who has faced myself the worry of being killed, you do freeze, that is a normal response to freeze or flee. she had a normal response to this, the stress of seeing this masked man at four in the morning, she secreted herself in her bedroom, according to the affidavit. i believe she passed out or became unconscious because of the stress. >> ashley: what we learned from the investigation, let the

several days after the killings, what do you make of this? is that typical behavior of someone who was guilty? >> absolutely typical behavior, they want to be in the midst of what is happening and be abreast of everything. i believe whoever committed this murder watched closely on social media, eating it up for tip as to what the investigation and direction it was going, but also sort of seeing beforehand what he had done play out in the media, he loves this attention. >> ashley: classes resume wednesday for the students on campus, do you think there is renewed sense of relief for students and parents, too, because they left without a suspect being in custody and there has been a lot trans pyre from there. i think it has a lot to say

months. you have seen the before and after pictures of downtown el paso. i have talked to some of the business owners in that area of town as well. they have had a massive problem. most of the migrant camps have been right there in downtown that's the thing and it's important to understand the numbers. those numbers are important but sometimes numbers, i feel like, can be a little stale and dry. so yesterday, right here on "fox & friends weekend" we had several el paso residents who have lived here for decades their entire lives perspective and context to give us tell us what is life like right now as compared to the past? here's what they had to say. >> he has never visited in his 50 years in office. but the only reason is he visiting now is because he is going to run for 2024. >> it's a photo op. they cleaned up the streets. they're going to show them clean not like they look normally with thousands of immigrants living in the streets. >> he doesn't have to create new laws. just enforce them. that's all that needs to be done.

>> will: ashley and todd those individuals were there to protest when president biden arrived. yesterday on the set people who lived here hose parents about immigrated from juarez. the rio grande river. the border wall is right next to me. this is actually a point we're between points of entry as people said. president biden needs to not go to ports of entry but see where tempted illegal crossings are. thousands were camped out here a month or two ago to try to cross the river and come in where we are sitting right now. so, about president biden see that what everyone here has experienced for months? no. did he finally i guess, at least arrive at the southern border. yes. >> todd: there's two things to point out about where the president went. one, you pointed out the obvious. there wasn't as much activity there, not even close to the other parts of the border that we have seen bill melugin, griff jenkins go to. i thought the left said walls are racist.

what do you think joe biden is seen walking right by a wall despite some saying he can't have a wall. walls are bad. so on and so forth? >> will: that's a good point. everything can be racist when you write an article from thousands of miles away. sit in a room in front of a computer and thors about the way someone impact. when you live in the real world and deal with issues literally at your feet here in your life, on your streets. maybe it's not so obvious that you can just throw those kinds of words around to dismiss an argument. to dismiss people's lives. can't just say that's racist. you might have to say we have a problem and at least president biden was told that by texas governor greg abbott. in response, as you heard today from alexandria, says we are going to help with resources. we will see that's needed from the united states federal government. >> ashley: he at the end of al leaks andrea's bit there said he didn't even read abbott's letter which said he did not go to the

worst places. there was one woman in your sound that you used and she was talking about how the city of el paso cleaned before he got there. did anyone else say anything about specifically being mad at el paso for doing that? what would be the point? that's like cleaning up after your parents are gone for the weekend for your brother and sister who had a party just to cover for the parents to get home so you won't get in trouble? what was the point of that? did anybody say anything? >> will: no. no one did, ashley, to that exact question no. one did express anger at el paso or border patrol for establishing the cleanup. did i ask that question to a man who runs the downtown business district here in el paso. and his response was at least it's finally addressed. his response was we need help. and for whatever motivation that comes in whatever way it can affect our quality of life i will accept for now and hope for here after the president leaves we can find a more experiment solution. >> todd: now the question becomes what comes of today's
