the president down there. called the white house. i'll go. we'll have this conversation. don't worry about it we have covered. essentially, you're not invited. it's okay to use a republican when it's to your advantage but when a republican wants to show you and tell you really what el paso is like, what it's meant to that community, what is happening at the border, he didn't get a return phone call. what shows you the president doesn't seem to really want to solve the problem. but his numbers are so terrible. the cbs poll says 34% approval rating when it comes to anything immigration. i don't know who those 34% are because it should be 4% approval rating. so now he goes down to the border. at least he is addressing it but it's hard to believe that he is sincerely trying to solve it. >> ainsley: look that, brian, wednesday compared to thursday. >> steve: no kidding. but just a coincidence. daily mail story yesterday that said that they were clearing out the migrant camps before the president; however, nobody has

told fox news on the record that they did it because of the trip. we'll just imagine it's a coincidence. but, nonetheless, he has taken a lot of heat, the president has, for never visiting the border except that one time he saw it in his rear view mirror when he also visited policies. but now with this he has essentially checked a box. the republicans are complaining about the border. i went down there and i talked to law enforcement and i see what the problem is. in fact, at one point he was asked what did you learn and he said they need a lot of resources. we're going to get it for them. obviously that is to handle the surge. if there is any money devoted to the actual border wall, it would probably be humanitarian money because he would say, you know what? people are going through those holes in the border and winding up drowning in the rio grande and that's just inhumane. >> ainsley: how can he clean up the border and know what's going on if they're not putting migrants in these facilities that he is visiting if they are

cleaning out the streets so that the migrants aren't there. he needs to see the real picture and i will say, you know, i'm glad he went down there. been reporting on it for years. maybe the governor of texas is right too little too late at least he went down there. but he is not getting an actual visual of what did looks like. >> brian: going to the summit now. that's where going to be today. wants to talk about climate change. number one issue, drugs, fentanyl. el el chapo jr. justarrested. going into the identity theft storm whether he wanted to or not. governor abbott talked about the letter and the confrontation with the president. listen. >> mr. president, chaos at the border it just so happens is he two years and about $20 billion too late. he needs to step up and take swift action. this is nothing but for show unless it begins enforce the immigration laws already that

besides dark? >> yeah, it's dark this morning, brian. i will tell you what i see. i think they can probably take this on the camera right here. i see juarez mexico just yards away. i see the rio grande river a few yards away from me. i also see the end of the border wall as it turns into chain linked fencing put up. the rio grande river and a line of military vehicles are just below the bank there. what you're seeing across the screen there, brian, that's juarez, vehicle traffic on the highway there across into mexico. you know, i was listening to your conversation. i was thinking about what is the reason for joe biden to visit el paso? what is the reason for joe biden to visit the southern border, finally? what would be the reason for any president in the reason would be two fold, i think. number one, to show you care. if there were any natural disaster in the united states of america that impact the human beings you have had on the program this morning in this country there would be expectation that the president of the united states would acknowledge the existence of that brian. show up physically.
