down, they cleaned it all up. threw the tents and garbage and took the families off the cold streets and plugged the holes in the wall. all of a sudden the migrants were gone for the first time in years it was quiet in el paso. someone wanted to get rid of them before the president and all the national press came to town. border patrol and local cops started locking up migrants in the middle of the night. texans know this is a total con job. listen to what ranchers had to say about the polished el paso biden visited. >> it's a mess. he went to el paso. everything is picked up. everything is clean. everybody is kind of like on their best behavior. i would think. that's what he is seeing so he doesn't really see what's happening on a daily basis. i think it's absurd, honestly. i think that there is hundreds of miles of border is that being inundated our border patrol are being overworked. our law enforcement are being tasked beyond measure. and he chooses to go el paso

that, by the way, has been cleaned up before he got there. >> i'm not saying he needs to dive into the rio grande or, you know, wrestle a coyote. but the least he could do is meet with a migrant. even cnn agrees. >> that's why the president is being criticized by both sides because of what he didn't see. so, let me show you because this is one of the migrant camps that's here in downtown el paso. and, you know, the immigration advocates here in el paso and governor greg abbott usually don't agree on much, but they do raise the same question: if president biden came here to el paso to see the reality on the ground about the border and he didn't come here, what's considered the epicenter of this crisis, did he leave with a clear understanding? >> biden was too busy touring a parking lot of a government building. he didn't want to really see what was happening and he didn't meet with any of the migrants or as his wife calls them tacos. joe knew if he met a migrant in front of the camera they would probably give him a big hug and say grass i can't say. they love joe he opened the

country to him. when his motorcade blew past a group of migrants at the border they cheered. unlike joe "primetime" talks to migrants. when a bus came to new york we asked them what they wanted to say to joe. >> what is your message to joe biden? >> we are completely grateful for the opportunity that he has given us. thanks for the support to all the aliens coming here. we were welcome thanks to biden the president. >> this is just a photo op. for the president. white house sources say he is pivot position the center for 2024. remember the last time joe pivoted he broke his foot chasing his dog? this time looks even worse. biden is doing a photo op. next to the wall he defunded. and said doesn't work. >> there's not a single thing that building a wall or imposing another tcare of can address.

>> there will not be enough foot of wall constructed on my administration. >> jesse: there is he walking next to the border agents whose colleagues he called racist and spread a fake whipping story about. biden keeps saying he wants to fund the border but republicans won't let him. but that's another lie. the republicans haven't had the power of the purse strings in two years. and biden's budget this year slashes funding for the border. joe just went through the motions. he doesn't want to be there the man couldn't wait to get back to delaware. texas governor abbott waited for him on the tarmac and handed him a list of problems to fix. but biden didn't even bother to read it. last week we told you about biden's new immigration plan. you know, because kamala couldn't deliver one. biden's new plan is to give migrants an app. where they can apply to come into america before they even reach the border. it's like tsa precheck for illegals. all they have to do is say they are scared of their home country and they know a guy named juan

united states. >> jesse: you saw how easily they cleaned up the border before biden's visit. why don't they pretend biden is visiting every day. just do it every day of the year. you don't need a magic wand for that. let's turn it over to national correspondent bill melugin whose firsthand reports true disaster at the border. were you surprised they were able to clean it up so quickly? >> it was a magical moment. everything disappeared from a month before, right? you have to make an active effort to go down to el paso on the border these days and not see a single migrant. it's almost impossible. they managed to accomplish that look what he did he started off port of entry. nothing is happening at the port of entries with. that's not where people are crossing. cbp where people walk across the bridge. 200,000 happening between the ports of entry. people walking through the river. we show that video every single day. he didn't go down there and look at that if he really wanted to get an idea what's happening in the el paso area, he could have driven five minutes north out of town and gone to new mexico

witnessed guys in camouflage use scaling the border wall using ronnie's to scale over it and running off into the dessert and running into residential neighborhoods. taken a ride down the drive where holes in the border wall. people have been cutting holes in it. got-aways got through and run cross traffic and disappear into el paso neighborhoods okay have gone to the central processing center where the migrants are held after in federal custody. we remember that video where 5,000 people crammed this inside of that center. he gotten in there then he goes down to the border wall to do a walk and talk with border patrol agents at a part of the wall there is no activity whatsoever. >> jesse: we are hearing from our white house sources one of the demands the white house made was that you leave the border before joe biden went down there. why weren't you there yelling at him while he was down at the border. >> you know what in the timing worked out a little weird. first time in new york city in a while. i have got here friday night and then. >> jesse: i didn't know you were allowed to leave the border. >> every now and then they let me out. every now and then. the timing just didn't work out.

even i was down there it doesn't look like we were going to have a chance to get too close to see anything. >> jesse: they kept him walled off. keep up the good work. thank you so much. >> thank you. >> jesse: let's bring in south carolina senator lindsey graham. so, senator, you saw what a bang up job they did cleaning -- it's pristine there. you can't see a migrant for miles. if that had happened under any other administration, i mean that, is a massive scandal. you guys going to do anything about this? >> you know, i hope the american people do something about it in 2024. but there's two clues that this was going to be a political show from the beginning. the republican congressman from el paso asked to visit with the president and go on the tour. and the president said no. now, he has got no problem meeting with mitch mcconnell to talk about a bridge to kentucky. this congressman has been really good trying hard to solve the problem and they shut him out. and before he left, he said the

people coming across the border illegally are like jews fleeing the nazis. now h that's the rhetoric of the left. offensive at so many levels. he had a predisposition to look at these people as being oppressed rather than coming here illegally. and he didn't want input from a republican. it was all a political show. nothing is going to happen under biden. i'm afraid that his ability to solve this problem doesn't exist because he won't admit that it's a real problem. >> jesse: if you raise your hand and swear on the bible that you're going to execute faithfully the duties of the president of the united states, and then he don't execute those duties you don't enforce the law. can you enforce the law because you did it. they cleaned out every migrant within 30 miles of the border when he came down, if he's not doing that there has to be some consequence. >> well, i think he has been derelict in his duties. i have been saying that on your show and other places for about

♪ [gunshots. gunshots. money. the customer fired nine shots at the armed robber, killing him. the dead robber, eric washington was a career criminal who was out on bond for domestic abuse case. and the vigilante dug through the dead robbers pockets and gave back all the stolen cash taken from the customers. the vigilante hasn't been arrested and there is no charges filed against him. one wrinkle in the case though, after the shooting turns out the robber's gun was fake. but i'm sure no one really knew that at the time. mark geragos is a criminal defense attorney who joins us now. how do you understand the guy

shooting the robber as he was leaving in the back? >> i've got that same case in los angeles right now with a security guard. the fact is that you're shooting in the back but the fact remains that you do have what's called a defense of others. so, he's leaving, you don't know if he is going to shoot one of the other people there you have a right and it's objectively reasonable. he's got a gun out or what purports to be a gun. and it looks like he-my guess would be is they are not going to charge him and i will contrast that with the officers in that other little piece that you did. which who showed enormous restraint, both with the guy that they ended up, i believe tasing and with the other one who was the carjacker run amok, that was incredible. >> jesse: enormous restraint i was tell people here in the studio i probably would have unloaded him much earlier than that you are saying this was a

mishandled classified documents, which we all know is the greatest crime anybody can commit. merrick garland has tapped the u.s. attorney in chicago to investigate joe biden's mishandling of classified documents. according to the department of justice, biden squirreled away 10 classified documents in a closet at a biden think tank in washington. how did they get there? we don't know. but we can only guess that someone removed them from the vice president's office and brought them to the biden center. and prepare yourself, these documents were co-mingled with unclassified documents. there was a lot of co-mingling going on. now cbs was quick to point out that these documents, quote: did not contain nuclear secrets. meaning that biden doesn't have trump's love letters from little rocket man. but i know what you are thinking. these are classified documents. how could anybody be that irresponsible? >> when you saw the photograph of the top secret documents laid out on the floor of mar-a-lago,

♪ >> jesse: we all remember some of our favorite teachers growing up. remember the ones who showed movies in history class or the good ones that let you retake your math quiz after you flunked it? but for any kid living in chicago what they will always remember is watching their teachers dance their way out of having to work during the pandemic.

♪ ♪ >> make it make sense. safety. is essential. keep our students and our teachers safe. >> jesse: they said it was all for health and safety. but the chicago public schools didn't do anything to protect health and safety. they danced their way to the bank. a new report by chicago's inspector general reveals the chicago school district got $1.5 billion of our taxpayer covid relief money and they haven't spent even half of it and the money that they did spend, they spent almost all of it on bonuses for teachers. hundreds of millions of dollars that was supposed to go to, you know, upgrade air filtration

systems teachers took higher salaries. got lump sum bonuses. they took vacations with the cash. i called it. >> chicago claims they spent $100 million to safely reopen schools that still aren't open. they posted all their grants on the website and we checked it out. but not surprisingly, the numbers don't add up. there's millions of dollars missing. >> jesse: the money was missing because they pocketed it. i told you they were going to steal. i told you they were going to embezzling it, this was a shakedown. teacher's union president weingarten held the country hostage and said kids aren't going back to class unless, you know, us the taxpayers give them buildings of dollars to reopen schools safely. so then they stole the money. and then the test scores went down one employee received extra 150 grand in pay. was he in the classroom? he wasn't. he was clocked in but receipts

said he was spending your covid money at casinos that's right teachers got bonuses and gambled it away. one clerk paid herself 15 grand in overtime and her boss didn't even know it. another teacher was using the money trips to vegas, l.a., london. even the bahamas maybe she was visiting minnie, where was the oversight? the vice president of the chicago teacher's union board sarah chambers took her own share of the cash and went pool inside puerto rico. all she was just shutting down schools that whole time. but the scandal gets even squeezier in the past 4 years 1800 allegations involving sexual assault. inappropriate touching and grooming reported against the school district. 1800 cases. almost 500 last year. cases like these one high school student says her gym teacher exposed himself to her during a driver's ed class but the board

dismissed the accusations and blamed the student for what she was wearing? another special ed teacher groomed and had sex with her eighth grade student two times. and rotc staff member was giving his underaged student alcohol and telling her he wasn't going to go gentle on her. said he promised to be rough. another case involved a janitor who was caught recording students in the bathrooms with little cameras he had secretly installed. now, did we hear about any of that? nope. they tried to bury it out of the 1800 allegations, we only saw criminal charges for 16 of them. corey deangelis is the senior fellow of the american federation for children. all right. corey. i mean, that's a lot of moolah that these teachers grabbed. unbelievable that they paid themselves bonuses with that. >> i would have probably spent it on, you know, new hvac systems. maybe some of those plastic

dividers hand sanitizer dispensers? no, no, no, no, no. they all got pay raises. corey, can you hear me? i don't think. >> yeah, can i hear you now. >> jesse: go ahead. >> so do you think that anything is going to happen to these teachers? basically robbed us blinds for almost a billion dollars. >> the teachers unions held children education multi billion dollars ran some payments from the federal government worked for them. $190 billion in so-called covid relief funding since march of 2020 and in places like chicago, they received about $2.8 billion, which turns out to be about over $8,000 per student. and, look, i don't know if they're going to be held accountable but they ought to be. >> jesse: they were supposed to spend it on laptops. do you know how many laptops they bought the chicago school children? 5,000. hundreds of thousands of chicago

school students. they could have used a laptop when they were stuck stuck in cold apartments during covid during zoom. they only bought 5,000. the rest they pocketed, corey. >> the sad reality is that the government school system in too many places across the country become more of a jobs program for adults as opposed to an education initiative for kids. look at what happened? los angeles, for example. this isn't only in chicago. in los angeles in 2021 they had a report where the district officials were estimating that although they were losing about 6% of the student population, they were planning on increasing the number of teachers in the system by 8%. the number of custodial workers in the system by about 25%. and the number of psychologists and psychological support workers, social workers by about 80%. what other industry do you lose 6% of your customer base and then you hire more and more people. this is more about the teachers unions as opposed to the kids and their parents. of the whole fight to push to keep the schools closed always had more to do about politics and power than safety and the
