scope of its inquiry, six items asking of documents with classification markings and surrounding materials. the documents date back to the time of biden in the senate and vice president. fbi agents began the search at 9:45 friday morning wrapping it up at 1030 at night. members of president biden's material were there at the search. it is up clear if the biden allowed the search and they ask and he consented to it. agent worked through living, storage spaces in the home. classified materials dating back to biden time as vice president were first discovered at penn biden center last fall a week before the midterm elections. that discovery was only made last week merrick garland appointed a special counsel to review they found documents in delaware a little more than a month later.
3:04 am
news broke the classified documents found on january 9th before another document was found two days later. on january 12 garland appointed a special counsel to investigate the matter. the white house announced even more documents were found on january 14th while biden was at the wilmington property. as federal authorities continue to investigate his handling of the documents, joe and hunter, became the first presidentialal father son duo under investigation at same time. rachel, will, pete. will: what a good timeline laid out. from the wilmington, delaware home that means in the meantime joe biden had visited that home in between the discovery of several of these items. >> reporter: absolutely. the president was at the home last weekend. he was not present for the search. neither was the first lady. his attorneys clarified for us yesterday but what is

everything? will: so side by side is important. so this drug out for i believe over a year for donald trump. ultimately the subject and the reason, the rationale for a raid on mar-a-lago was that, that, donald trump wouldn't comply with the request for return of documents and there was some fear that people would have gone in there and messed with those documents. right? moved them. that was part of the rationale for the raid on mar-a-lago. here we have with joe biden a documents scandal stretches out from at least november, now into january, several months and we also know, based upon that latest reporting joe biden visited the home and presumably had access now we know to classified documents that have been the subject of a search. it is remarkably similar resulting in a raid, the other

what they want to see, they want to see we really have reached a new way of managing covid. we want to see the economic recovery is real and sustained. i think the political credit will follow from that. of course the president's confident that his son didn't break the law. we are in, we are not in recession, i want to be really, really clear on that. fiscal responsibility is very important to us in the biden administration. rachel: want to offer you another opinion what the departure could mean comes from our friend joe concha, he tweeted. get your thoughts. so much to be done. one day later "new york times" reports children will be stepping down. so much to be con.
