hello everyone. welcome to the big sunday show. the big story tonight, what is biden hiding about those classified documents. another day, and another batch of classified documents found that the president's home in wilmington, delaware. the white house reportedly requested the fbi search home and after hours looking around on friday, probably including the garage with that corvette on
2:01 pm
friday, they came up with a fourth batch. strange. more than a week ago, remember this, the search for documents was complete. [inaudible] >> it is completed, yes. >> not exactly completed. we do not know a lot about the amount of classified information let alone what the information contained in a seemingly carefully crafted statement. biden's personal attorney said "the doj took possession of materials, including six items consisting of documents with classification markings and surrounding materials. a special assistant to the president will not say just how many classified documents in total were found across all three locations. >> that is a good question. it is a little bit complicated. we want to be very careful to be respectful of the integrity of that investigation.
2:02 pm
>> meanwhile, integrity. a funny word to use. >> nothing to see here. biden doesn't know anything. >> the important point as he had no idea. i do think this was inadvertent. >> how was this inadvertent? yesterday you were talking about, first of all, his lawyers have said they have been cooperating, they are the ones that offered up this information. you call that out as being why number one. now, inadvertent, that is not the case here. now we have four different instances of finding classified documents and the president knows nothing about it. >> first of all, even if it were inadvertent, the evidence does not seem to stack up that way, even if it were true, the violation is gross negligence with classified information. inadvertence is not a defense. it is almost a plea of guilty for them to be saying that. this business of how they self-reported, they did not self

report. the biden private lawyers find the first batch of november 2 at the office. they notify, not law enforcement, they notify the biden white house which notifies not law enforcement but the national archives. this other step is important, too. they were hoping that the national archives would just tuck this away. who notified the justice department? it was not the top political officials, it was the inspector general whose job is to look for misconduct in the agency and reported to congress. it was the inspector general that reported it to the justice department. then the justice department sat on it until after election day. one thing to say, well, that is consistent with their practices, they try not to do anything any high profile that could influence an election, but that does not mean they could not
2:04 pm
have the fbi quietly do searches. note justice department restriction stops the white house from making anything public. but i do not think they ever intended to make this public. >> this is something that i talked about yesterday. his lawyers were not forthright and they sat on this. the midterm elections were conveniently right before this information was released to the public. that was, obviously, intentional. how do they cover this up? now it is a matter of who is going to subpoena the president at some point and get him to start talking. >> they claim that the first
2:05 pm
batch of documents were found on november 2. we are now almost three months past. the first time we have heard of the fbi getting involved doing the searches rather than the white house counsel or president biden's personal lawyers. that seems like a stretch when it comes to the ability to do your own investigation, so to speak. joe biden at the time he had this information was an illegal possession. the new information is from his time in the senate. i think that we are in a time where we talk about double standards, not just political appointees are politically elected leaders like joe biden or even donald trump, but i have a lot of friends who work in capitol hill who have security clearances, if they were ever found with any of this information in their apartment, they would be prosecuted for it. i think the question moving forward as we know that the argument for president biden from his lawyer saying six items which could be a box, could be one item, could be six documents, very carefully wording there. what is going to happen they are? will there be charges? the house republicans will certainly look into this. they simply can refer to the department of justice. president biden saying that he was not aware that these things where they are. the argument from the white
2:06 pm
house, you know, he takes classified information seriously continues to fall apart by the day as we get more information about the types of classified information that was in his possession at multiple locations. >> let's listen to senator dick durbin when he was approached about classified documents he is comparing it to the former president trump. >> a literal outrage. >> what happened and followed from it is significantly different. >> how is it different? classified documents are classified documents. why is it that there is a cover up now and a backpedaling? nobody is even talking about the timing of all days. people love to slam trump of accusing democrats of stealing the election. let's talk about the midterm elections. >> i get the privilege of sitting here for this platform. real world experience. they have cover stories like this.
2:07 pm
it is easy for me to hone in on the politics and even the legality of can the president be indicted while he is in office? is there an opportunity here to set a precedent. should they be held to the same precedent? those are important issues, for sure. what is important to people sitting at home. are they surprised by this at all? no, they are not. they expect politicians to play by rules that only belong to the elites. i think a lot of people at home want to know what were those documents and what does this mean in the big scheme? does this open the door for republicans to investigate the hunter biden investigation? does this open more opportunity for investigation? some of those documents pertaining to a certain thing. in the grand scheme, what he was doing with them and why have them for so long. >> may i just say one thing
2:08 pm
about that? >> sure. the other thing we heard last night was they also took notes. i am sure people are curious. if you go into a classified briefing, you are not allowed to take notes and take them out. just because your notes are not stamped like top-secret, you do not get to take stuff out and go. so, i assume that when they said they took notes, that is what they are talking about. besides being cavalier with the actual documents he took notes he was not supposed to take. >> not only was there classified information, what was it written down is considered classified. evidentially, also documents that were labeled classified. more on it almost egregious. that is why you need an independent investigation to go in there and look. things that could be transcribed that are still classified in nature but are not labeled because they were transcribed onto a word document.
2:09 pm
>> joe biden spent 40 years in washington. he knew all the rules. he prided himself on understanding the way washington works. and yet he was hoarding classified documents from his time in the senate and his time as vice president. to answer senator durbin's question, it is not the same thing. we have not seen photos from the fbi leaks. president trump, there may have been problems. but he was the president and he was capable of de- classifying certain information. joe biden vice president did not have the same capabilities to do so. in terms of the standard here, there certainly a double standard. it comes down to people wanting to know exactly why these documents were used, why he had them for so long and why people like hunter biden who has a criminal record of engaging in very egregious and shady behavior had easy access to these documents if he wanted it. >> no visitor log at the house
2:10 pm
either. not only knows who went in and out of that house and had access to these records. it took them 12 hours to find these six pieces. they were in that house for 12 hours searching. this was after the white house said the search is over. it has been completed. >> do you remember when they came out of trump's place, i think they said they had 19 boxes, if i'm remembering that right, the next thing we heard was over 100 documents. we don't know what item could mean, it could mean anything. >> republicans are calling biden a serial document corridor. i would love to play that tape real quick. >> i took the president at his word when the first set of documents were found. he had just inadvertently misplaced those documents. now, this has gone from just simply being irresponsible to downright scary. >> clearly, he has become a serial classified document corridor. >> i guess that is one way to
2:11 pm
put it. i guess we will have to wait and see if we get information to what these documents are. what actually is in them. coming up on the big sunday show, complete chaos. we are not talking about documents this time. anti-police protest in atlanta. what does cnn say? >> i think that there is a real blurring of the lines in use of the word violence. >> was this the new fiery peaceful moment? we will dissect this one next. ♪

>> i totally agree with that. it is your money. it is not the government's money. when it comes to kids, the thing about money is it's wrapped up in more than risk. more than just material wealth. when i was a kid, you would get up and you would go to school. like, when we were very young, on the subway, walk the streets, go out and play in the street, a lot of the things that we did back then we would not let our kids deal. so, i think with material wealth comes this ability to sort of protect them from risk. i don't think that we are always doing them a big favor. i think a lot of us would think the hard times that we went through when we were kids, to the extent that there is good in us, that is a big part of what makes us good. we kind of expect our kids to live up to that. at the same time, we are sort of insulating them.
