but a law passed called raise the age law. sometimes when you are 17, you can be charged as an adult and now you can no longer be. >> todd: new york state legislature knocking it out of the park. bail reremember fo, disastrous discovery law and now this law that allows you as a 17 year old to do whatever you want. let's focus on the kids. what is a 15-year-old doing on the new york city subway at 1 a.m. i understand the parents came to pick them up. as a teen, my parents knew exactly where i was at 1:15. >> carley: that was initial reaction, he said where are the parents, where are the kids' parents. why are they on the subway at 1:30 in the morning. the example this sends, kids

a difficult situation, situation no one should be put in. every time i think of crime in new york city, i think of kathy hochul, who banned the word inmate, supposed to be incarcerated person now. >> todd: protect the criminals as much as possible, new york state. nancy pelosi blaming democrats for the party losing control of the house and pointing to refusal to address the crime crisis. writing this about her conversation with pelosi, she believed democrats could have held on to the house if top new york politicians had realized the key issue was crime. it was an issue that had to be dealt with early on, not 10 days before the election. governor kathy hochul didn't realize where trouble was, maybe she would have if she wasn't busy renaming i think these. >> carley: adam will be on "fox

investigators say the suspect shot and killed himself yesterday inside a white cargo van. that van matching the description of what police identified as a vehicle of interest. authorities heard one gunshot and they found the suspect dead. that suspect is 72-year-old huu can tan, who police believe acted alone. 10 people, five women and five men are dead and others are hurt. police have yet to release identity of the victims, but fox l.a. says one victim is the owner of star dance studio. the ages rage from 50s and 60s and even older than that. what is more chilling, there could have been more victims, because the suspect went to another ballroom. >> the suspect went to another

situation. reminds me of the hillary clinton investigation, where they have allowed opposing counsel for the suspect of the investigation to control the investigation while the fbi sits on the sideline. opposing counsel gets to decide where they search, how they search, what they do with the documents and how they hand them over. there are disturbing parallels between the hillary clinton e-mail investigation and this entire series of document discoveries. >> carley: cbs reporting the doj considering searching president biden other residences, at this point, that has to happen, right? >> right. we've seen a situation, we found documents at his office, a personal place. we found three different discoveries at his home, in his garage and other places in the house. that is personal and accessible and evidence has been trampled

on, we don't know if they handled the documents or smeared prints, d.n.a., whether documents were co-mingled with other items. this is a situation where doj is marginally involved and the fbi seems to be on the sideline. there should have been searching back in november. >> todd: let's not forget trump's lawyers were not allowed in the room when the mar-a-lago happened and didn't allow cameras. these guys are having tea and crumpets, it is amazing the double standard. democrats and know ares are witnessing this is not good by president biden. they have been critical of how the president handled this these classified documents. >> some go back to his senate time, he's become a serial classified document hoarder.

the presidency down, it is more serious by the day and we have the attention of fbi and doj and they seem to be engaging. what will be interesting to see if they combine this with the hunter biden investigation, there are ukraine documents in this stash, there are possibly china documents in the stash. why those two topics which relate to hunter biden. >> carley: yeah, and chris, we're learning in the six items, which could be more than documents, they didn't say if it was boxes or binders, some are from the president's senate days, how does a senator obtain classified documents and take them to their house? >> especially when they are color coded with hard jackets on them. anybody in government as long as joe biden has to know the proper

you see the cold air from say two-thirds of the country, cold front across the east coast. too warm for snow in new york city, but might get some later this week. first storm system. along the coast i-95 corridor, rain event. boston could get snow. along the coast of new england chance of winter storm warning. new york city, latest first snow on record was january 29th, 1973, we might get there, we have a little snow in the forecast later this week. next storm system out of rockies and toward southeast and in to the northeast. let's track this, it could bring possibility for severe storms for the southeast and latest track looks like it is a rain event and we'll see what happens on the backside of this. not sure, i'm not sure, this map

>> todd: thanks to two farmers for being here. is that your experience? are you thriving right now? >> well, we just been through a super cycle, we're at the end of it, we have windfall profit and now the party is darn near over, getting ready to go into survival mode. >> todd: what does survival mode mean? >> if you don't need it, don't buy it, pay down debt, don't buy anything like land, it is the peak of the market. this is quite a ride. going in with wheat prices $4 to $5 wheat and they went up to $13 a bushel. for a number of reasons and now they collapsed back to cost of production. todd, with bankers and accountants like scott city,

kansas, everybody is concerned. >> todd: the cost of everything you need to do your job as a farmer is not going down is it? >> well, absolutely. i will say, though, gas has gone down and we're thankful of that, main fuel on the farm in terms of equipment is diesel. it has gone down a little, not gone down as much as gas has. that is still up there. fertilizer is there. and the other rest of the story is getting the fertilizer. there is more, sometimes supply chain issues as much as anything. yeah, prices are still up. >> todd: the machinery, you use heavy expensive machinery, i can't imagine that is going down. how bad will the next couple years be for your profitability? >> we've been through -- the nice thing about being older, we've been around the block a time or two and know what is on

the other side of this i think this. you want to go in with slack in the rope because it is going to be very difficult to show a profit. like you were intimating, todd, we had high wheat prices and the thing that follows along with that in lock step are our cost production like you were talking about, machinery and also fertilizer, herbicide, fuel and the thing right now that is really roaring out there is interest rates. the fed wants to whip inflation and we are paying the price on that. >> todd: biden thinks he's doing a great job, look how great everything is in the farming world. has joe biden done anything to help you? >> you know, if you look over the past couple years, inflation for general consumers is coming

down, that is the bright thing about agriculture deal, louise and i may start suffering because of lower wheat prices for instance, ultimately the consumer will benefit from that. as far as farmers, these are going to be tentative years we're going into. >> it just takes time to get through it. and unfortunately, some people run out of time, especially on this interest rate thing, that is why paying down debt, getting things under control as quickly as you can is the best thing. >> you have talked to a number of bankers, what are they saying? >> the same thing. how was last year, how was 2022 and most say it was good for farmers, most farmers. for cattlemen, that is a different story. >> todd: cattlemen, i did a whole cattlemen story, we don't

look, a chief of staff though is not the president. but he has the most to say about house of how white house runs. i served under two chief of staffs, they were very different. did effects the whole tone of the white house. it's really a thankless job. it's not surprising that ron klain would move after two years. that's about the tenure. that job is really difficult. you have to make all the difficult calls for the president. you have to represent him to people. it's a demands job. and we'll see how he does it. enough to they are gearing up. they have got a lot of investigations. this is a white house that's going to be answering requests from congress for a while. so, he has a lot of work to do. >> carley: house speaker

announced adam schiff is off. he has earned his ouster from the intelligence committee. what do you mean by that? >> well, two things. on the one hand, he wouldn't let republicans pick their choices for the january 6th committee. and that was really unprecedented to do that sort of thing and i don't like to see the tit-for-tat. but, if you don't do it, it kind of is like unilateral disarmament. republicans have to make a statement to democrats be careful what you do because it's going to rebound on you. second, adam schiff in particular, for the intelligence committee, you know, they see documents that we don't see. they have classified access and so we have to trust them to report the stuff honestly. and he has been anything but. you know, he had secret evidence, he said of trump-russia he collusion.
