joint rolled up and put it in his hair. >> steve: ultimately. he was attacked on the subway. the mayor of new york was asked about him. of course, the reporter thought he worked at channel 5, which is a fox station not right. works here. here's what the mayor said about how safe the subway is. >> there has been a spate of subway crime over the past weekend. a weather man from fox 5 bass beaten up when he tried to stop something from going on. employee hit in the face and someone pushed onto the subway tracks. what do you say to new yorkers this can't go on we are afraid to take the subways. >> we m sure people feel safe. as i say over and over again, the best way to do that is to have that visible presence of a police officer, one of the incidents over the weekend officers were there at the station. they were able to apprehend the person. overwhelmingly the number of crimes in our city, they are repeated offenders. we have a revolving door system.

we're going to continue to do our job but we also must unbottleneck our criminal justice system and get dangerous people off our streets. >> brian: the thing he says revolving door the kids weren't even booked. it's up to adam klotz to sue now, sue these kids because they are not even -- they are probably back in school on monday if they do go to school. >> ainsley: parents were notified. they were juveniles. they weren't able to be arrested but they are back on the street again. adam had a really good perspective. he said why am i the one, the weather guy at the fox station. >> brian: this is one of the suspects by the wait a minute. >> steve: crime stoppers offered $3,500 reward last night for four individuals who assaulted a 37-year-old male who is, obviously. >> ainsley: he said there were a few that were the instigator. there were a few that were the leaders in this group. but adam had a good perspective. he said, why am i the one in charge of trying to clean up the subway.

i was trying to defend this man. and they come and attack me. listen to this. >> people were really quick to help me as soon as they were away from me. but, when it was happening, no one was doing anything. but i mean, like i g.e.d. get it. look what happens when you step up for somebody. i tried step up for somebody and this is what happened to me why would anyone do this themselves. why is the weather guy on the train trying to stop crime in the middle of the night like where is eric adams? where is the city? why am i doing this? why is it up to me? >> brian: he did say though one of the police officers stayed with him all night through the hospital and everything. so he has nothing against the cops. they feel like their hands are tied and even if you are a juvenile. >> ainsley: you say you ride the subway all the time you never see police officers. >> brian: i never do. i don't remember the last time i got on a train and there was a cop there. >> ainsley: where is the leadership if we are having many of our problems on the subway. look at the stats since 2020, we

have had roughly 21 killings on the subway. that's basically in the last two years. compared to about 20 murders in the 12 years before that. >> steve: it's jaw-drops. we have today's "new york post" here in the studio. i wish we had yesterday because yesterday's on the cover was a picture of adam. and then above that was george soros. and they did a big takeout on how george soros has spent $40 million of his money trying to get essentially elect lefty das all over the country. backing prosecutors who won't prosecute. so far he has got 75 prosecutors nationwide backed by soros. and this particular "new york post" article you should look it up. it's really good. it talked a little bit about how, you know, it's hard to flip a legislature or change a law. but it's easy to just elect one person who refuses to en40s law. that ma makes it much easier.

some of the mope he has spent across the country. far right is somebody who is detailed in this story. she was elected 2019 into 2020. he spent close to $700,000 to get her elected and just last week in loudoun county, virginia. her office announced they would not prosecute his and run, alluding police. reckless driving. trespassing, public drunkenness. classifies them all now as misdemeanors that is ultimately george soros' plan. get prosecutors who don't prosecute. >> ainsley: also in her area 735 domestic cases brought to her office, she dismissed 491 of them. only 8% went to trial. >> brian: so h how many times ae these people going to run unopposed. >> ainsley: she didn't run opposed she barely won. even. >> brian: the republicans can match that money. that's not a lot of money. he found a soft spot in this

it's going back up. gas buddy, patrick dehon, 12 states saw gas prices rise per gallon. the white house yesterday had a united front all talking about gas prices? why is that? why did they send out energy secretary granholm yesterday to talk about gas prices? well, because they are trying to change the subject. they don't want to have to talk about those documents every day so what do they do? they said hey, remember how high gas was last summer it's much lower. edward lawrence of fax business knows exactly what was going on. he asked her the hard questions. watch. >> this so gas prices are now up 33 cents over the past month, the president took credit for the prices coming down. the strategic petroleum reserve as you mentioned is no longer releasing. does the president get credit for the price of gas going up? >> well, it's obviously based

upon international and climate events so, for example, winter storm elliott pulled 2 million barrels off the u.s. market because of refineries that went down. that crimp in supply causes prices to go up. what happens in china, are they going to be opening up soon? is there expectations regarding increase in demand? that is something that happens on a global market. the whole point of this is that this strategic petroleum reserve is a tool that we have. that we can control. we may not be able to control the weather. we may not be able to control the what happened in china but we can control what we have access to. >> brian: what is happening is no doubt about it china is getting back online. zero covid policy is o'er. they are going to start have demand go up for oil and gas. i don't think the -- pretty obvious that opec plus is not going to flood the market with oil and gas. so, we want to watch this price go up and then watch the president eventually blame vladimir putin again. >> ainsley: right. here is some of the blames or the reasons he says gas has gone

up over the last, you know, throughout his administration. there's the climate event, the corporate greed, the price gouging, putin price hike, covid and opec plus. >> steve: right. exactly. now, keep in mind, the price of gas would be much lower if this administration did what the last administration did and opened up america's oil fields to production. but they will not do that because they want everybody to drive an electric car. the rnc put out a tweet yesterday said gas prices up 1.03 from where they were when joe biden took office. the average family in america, because of the cost of oil and energy has lost $2,250. you have lost that at your house. because of energy. and when you look at it, the prices are still nearly double what they were during donald trump. >> ainsley: so many people weighing in on this on social media when the president said, you know, or his administration said it was climate change and that was the cause for this. they were talking about davos.

country. >> that sounds like something somebody looking for a way into national politics. >> i'm telling you i'm going to do everything to make sure when i make my decision i make ton what's best. >> brian: can manchin get traction as a republican? >> no. i think people have had enough. you know, when i changed let me be clear, i changed from the majority party to the minority party at the time. that was a big deal. i was the first person to ever do that in history. people changed they never went from the majority to minority. i changed because i really believe in conservative values. i believed in the republican values. i believe that we had to do so much about our border. and a host of other things that i won't even go into now because i know we probably don't have the time. i changed for real reasons. this is a game he is playing. is he going to change. he's not going to change. is he kind of conservative but not really. if you look at his voting record, he voted for most of all this bad stuff, voted freed omnibus bill and a whole bunch
