pair of mass shootings in his state to build his bona fides going into 2024. >> nothing about this is surprising. everything about this is infuriating. the second amendment has become a suicide pact. >> laura: okay. if that is the democrats' post-biden plan b, they are in trouble. leaders take charge and when necessary they take responsibility. but what is he do? he takes a lowbrow potshots. when he wasn't blaming the second amendment to the constitution, he was gaslighting the first. attacking the free press. the one network that consistently hold him accountable. telling an abc affiliate in california that it's a disgrace, what we say a fox every night. he said there's xenophobia, racial priming, whatever that is. what they have done to perpetuate crime and violence in this country, what? xenophobia? racial priming?

killer, number one killer of our kids last year was guns. what the hell is wrong with us? i am not saying take everybody's guns. stop with the extreme back and forth. common sense, common dignity. kids traumatized over and over again because of these drills at schools for shooters and we are not dealing with the issue. >> laura: what a creep. it turned out that a deranged elderly asian man with a criminal history including unlawful possession of a firearm was the gunman and a horrific shooting that killed 11 on sunday in monterey park doing a learner new year celebration. the rampage in half moon bay, the suspect in custody is another senior citizen. 66-year-old asian man. the people killed mostly worked on a mushroom farm which local said was known to be a marijuana growing farm. the suspect was subject to a temporary restraining order

after a former coworker and roommate accused him of attacking and threatening him back in 2013. so there's no evidence that racial bias was a motivating factor. but again, facts don't matter, not when your goal is to score political points. there is demagogy instead. and then there's dema-gavin. >> republican party balked every step of the way. one state can't do it alone. shame on them and shame on those who allow to perpetuate that to be rewarded politically. shame on them. shame on these charges. you deserve better. we deserve better. >> laura: ending the epidemic of gun violence requires doing what newsom refuses to do: send an unequivocal message that there will be no tolerance for crime of any kind in the state.

but after decades of liberal leadership, criminals here in california know how easy it is to get away with illegal drug sales, car theft, shoplifting, vandalizing. of course larceny of any kind. and we know far worse. that has to end. this isn't that hard. end the demonizing of law enforcement, stop supporting and defending pro-criminal prosecutors who are part of the problem. end the sanctuary city policies and empowered the cartels and the gangs throughout the state. gun control doesn't stop criminals hell-bent on committing crimes. just ask the people of illinois. >> laying on the couch, i heard anywhere between six to eight shots. sounded like it was right up under the window. it's chicago. i don't pick i'm surprised anymore when it comes to gunshots happening anywhere. it's not surprising. >> laura: the only crime epidemic, california has huge

problems. at $25 billion budget shortfall, the cities are unsafe, deteriorating from the needless covid lockdowns and as we know here in l.a., rampant homelessness. public schools are in decline. everyone is trying to find a way out. a pension system that is in crisis and i need big crisis. climate change insanity, rampant crime, high taxes running the state into the ground, all of it. but at least the democrats can brag about leading the nation with their legalized weed industry. even the "l.a. times" had to admit a few months ago, we brought it to you at the time, that legal marijuana has also spawned outlaw growth. with them, violence, shoot-outs, robberies, kidnappings and occasionally as the time throat, killings. mucho st gracias, gavin.

two shootings, this tragedy, for 2024. >> lives in an alternate universe. when he blames republicans, he's in charge of the state. there's not one single republican statewide official. he has super democratic majorities in both houses of the legislature. out of the 53 congressional seats i think only 11 or 12 are republican. his state. dianne feinstein, nancy pelosi, jerry brown, barbara boxer, gavin newsom. they all come out of the same wealthy bay area elite that are never subject to the consequent as of their own ideology. so he's a performance art governor. if there is a flood and he didn't build reservoirs which the voters voted for then he talks about climate change. when there are shootings, he talks about gun control. there is shootings right near where i live, six people were murdered just down the road from me. they were not maga people. they were probably cartels doing

exorcism. the president of the catholic league said "if it's genuine, she needs psychiatric help and if it's not, it's another example of nancy pelosi exploiting the catholic church were her own personal gain. here's the deal. the pastor pelosi's local parish denies there was any exorcism or service performed at their home and now she might've gone to a priest outside her parish but remember, pelosi has been battling with the san francisco archbishop. he banned pelosi from receiving holy communion because of her outspoken stance in favor of abortion. it's my understanding you need the bishop's permission for an exorcism. other priests say an exorcism isn't all that theatrical and it could've happened. nancy pelosi also has a history stretching the truth a bit. so until priest comes out and backs up the claim, i would take it with the green, may be of big green, giant grain of salt. >> laura: it's an interesting

the bivalent data is nonexistent. if there is a vexing there should be on the market, it should have a warning label that there is an increased risk of clots that goes up by about 50% including pulmonary embolism. there's a risk of myocarditis and death. that has been established. and then it shows up in breast milk and lactating mothers. we don't know. i would post of the w.h.o., how many healthy children have died of covid? no one knows. cdc director doesn't know. in germany, it was zero children five through 17 in the entire population so how can we justify these risks for something that has no benefit in that population? >> laura: we know a lot of hospitals were enjoying the jacked up reimbursements they were getting when people had broken legs and tested positive for covid so that absolutely happened. msnbc, this is important, health advice for everyone out there. watch. >> which one? >> the fourth. completely knocked down.

i didn't wipe out once. until i took the bait. so nico says, he's 12, he says mommy dimitri and i bet one of us could beat you down the mountain. i was just how long as if you're going to beat me down the mountain and i took off after my 14 year old. suffice it to say it was all downhill from there. last run of the day about a quarter mile from the bottom at aspen highlands and hit the ice ski didn't release heard a snap, i immediately knew it was an acl because i had done my other knee at the same resort 20 years ago. i have some other stuff going on in my knee as well so tomorrow morning very early out here in los angeles it's going to get fixed. that's the shorts apparently i'm wearing in rehab. those are good. on the bright side, i finally might get some sleep. i'm going to try to be back
