russia and i think i think a lot of people know this war since it's been playing out 11 months now are not following it nearly as closely as we once were so where are we in this war and where you think it's going? >> mike: so i think i've spoken to the newly appointed leader of the fight in the ukraine. he was the russian leader russian military leader in charge in syria. he was leaving the syrian efforts we are up against them in the euphrates river. i will talk about never giving an inch in my book but in the wagner group these same guys were fighting in the ukraine in syria, came out american soldiers come we took them out. we demonstrated american resolve. i would guess this is what we will have to do. putin will not walk away from this because he changes his mind about greater rush of the desire to rebuild periods he will change his mind because he thinks the cost is too great and we have to oppose the cost. >> harris : anybody in their own country to consider helping him change his mind? >> mike: i'm sure they are.

i'm sure we don't know who it is but the numbers increasing. >> harris : three and a 36 days of the war in ukraine. >> tammy: and remarkable time but we also know there is a story kind of under the radar strangely but has been a concern of the american people regarding corruption in ukraine and being able to track the money, track the equipment and suddenly now there is a story about how they are dealing with generals and money and food and aid were all being redirected so that becomes for the american people as we have an open border here, as inflation continues, gas prices going up again, the wage gap happening rate, inflation overcoming how much wages have gone up and yet we hear every day it's like another 2 billion come another several billion, this, that, and the other. so corruption and at least some clarity about being able to track this money, it seems impossible at this point. would you agree and you've touched on this, that this would not have happened if afghanistan

had not been such a catastrophe and a debacle that that signal to every bad actor of the world now is the time to act, not just russia but china and i want as well? what are your thoughts? >> mike: i completely agree absent the debacle that had 13 americans killed in an guinness income a pollutant doesn't feel if the old southwest airlines line. go free to move about the cabin right? you can't permit that. member he also utter the words will a minor incursion, that might be okay. it seems like a long time ago but these are green lights. if you're vladimir putin it's go time. coming to your other thought, american people are right to be worried about accountability. ukraine indeed has had enormous corruption which we should never forget that. we should track where this goes. the good thing as most of what we are providing them as equipment come we are not sending a lot of money, most of the monies going for food and to help civilians. we should track that, by the way but the way we are providing a think we can keep track of nowhere does come i'm sure some of it will squirrel away but for the most part we can follow this
9:19 am
and we should be fiscally responsible. i'm convinced. i hear some of my colleagues say we need to protect the border, the american board not the ukrainian border, i don't believe these are choices periods america can do these both at the same time. we did both of the same time and we had the southern border and we had europe safe and secure and america's interests secure as well. >> harris : and under the former resident demonstration you were with that was the first president and the 21st century who didn't have an incursion of a country around russia being invaded. >> mike: it could just be a coincidence. >> harris : you know i don't believe in coincidences. >> mike: look, i think was because we were serious perry we did not bar redlines and walk away. by the way we didn't draw a lot of redlines. we made clear about the things we were prepared to defend, that we were not going to give an inch on perry we knew what they were in them if they crossed it we made sure they understood we were serious about it. >> harris : all right, let's

move to this. we are going back now to president biden's document scandal. as we mentioned at the top of the hour, the white house, the stonewalling continuously on the issue and americans want answers. secretary, i want to talk about the first tranche of papers. we can get to every thing else and do all the world of about is him but those first papers at the biden penn center those top-secret markings and federal prosecutor was on last hour, he goes back to those foreign intelligence materials in there. iran, ukraine, china, some are so separate if you just separated outcome of those details seem glaringly important now that it looks like everyone needs to check the closets. >> mike: everyone should check the causes, i handle ten, tens of thousands of classified documents as secretary of state,
9:21 am
we all had responsibility to handle those documents correctly then. if it turns out you screwed up, there's three things from right? put them back, make sure they are in the right spot, second own it don't blame your staff, don't blame you team, don't say you have any regrets. is someone founded classified document in my home i would regret it because i may have put american life at risk. and then, finally, we need to make sure we have processes systems in place that reduce the risk it happens, it's very clear that this problem is too widespread. these tsr commits a particular you were just referring to, this is not just ordinary classified stuff this is stuff about operations and things that really matter. those documents are handled differently than just classified at the most basic level. it seems unimaginable to me that those documents would wander. >> harris : not likely a group of movers who put them wherever they were before the pen biden center would have known how to handle that kind of a thing. >> mike: they would not. >> harris : i'm kind of kidding and i'm absolutely not.
9:22 am
>> mike: i understood the joke, i got it completely, and i'm trying to account for it because it seems unimaginable to me that you would have these are big red borders, it is clear with this is. hard to figure out. >> harris : by markings to meet a big red flag? >> mike: it's a big warning sign, do not trust, it's clear these are not just little words on the bottom. this is something that is on escapable. >> tammy: one point on the bottom. >> mike: this is big stuff. >> emily: you and i spoke during the prior administration about the machine you encountered once that administration was put in the place. my question against that landscape is how has this person meaning our president been enabled for so long because the more we learn about these discoveries of classified documents, the more we learn this was somehow his normal protocol. in stark contrast to national security policy and national
9:23 am
security laws? >> mike: there is no doubt, we called the different things you can call it deep state you can describe it however you like. there is a bureaucracy, washington block, it is a left of center blob at best and it works to undermine conservative leaders when they take office. i saw it, i suffered it, it just makes her life more difficult so we get called out for things that president biden would never get called out for, i got called out for things that abe lincoln will never get called out for and we are held to a different standard. i think the crucified dummy classified documents, i was on the benghazi committee, we found classified information on her server, we try to get information back where it should be and it was handled in a way that was professional. we as conservatives often find it is working in ways that are not what they want us to do, i tried to get the state department to conform when you couldn't fire them with three unions it was stunningly
9:24 am
difficult. >> emily: you say handled, part of what the american people can see so clearly just one day after learning that vice president pence discovered documents at his home is that the doj immediately took those back in stark contrast to their reaction to president biden or his team finding multiple documents and multiple sources in multiple areas like a random closet and random think take from china, exactly. so it seems this blob also extends into the doj. how is that in any way explainable, acceptable for those of us watching you right now whose tax dollars pay salaries of these people? how's that explainable for half of the doj? >> mike: it is unexplained will.director comey politicize e fbi in the justice department today, one of the things that we should have done better in our administration is we didn't get the team on the field quickly
9:25 am
enough. you want your team representing america the way you promised american people you would. we can say what happens as a result of that it makes it more difficult to advance her conservative agenda and you know, liberals want to be part of government, they like it, you fun conservative kids they want to make money, they want to be pastors and priests and they want to do really good and important work on the left into his government so they end up occupying too much of it and it's a one-way ratchet that works against the american people. >> harris : i say you can use faith everywhere. >> mike: amen. amen. >> harris : coming up speaker kevin mccarthy removed democrats from house committees and now they are responding calling it peer political vengeance, their feelings are hurt, that's next. - two - when the national debt was larger than gross domestic product? world war ii - and right now.

stories of things that happen several months ago because it is such a busy new cycle we tend to forget. and one of them is in houston this is going on right now. there are bar owners that are sleeping in their bars because they continually get broken i into. instead of going home after a busy day at work they bring in air mattresses with a gun and they are protecting their own property. we have gone so full-circle that it is like the wild, wild west again. crime laws are so lax that citizens are being forced to defend their own property in their own businesses. another thing that is so sad is who is coming these crimes and a lot of times it's children. the number of children that have committed homicide under the age of 14 the highest in the last two decades and there was a prompt to mike bronx d.a. that says the tragedy here is that we are talking about gunmen, you can't even say it's a gunman because it's a 14 and 15-year-old. >> mike: gun child. >> emily: but in new york state the penalty is 3-9 years. the maximum they can ever get for a murder even if it's

manslaughter intentional is still nine years because we have deemed them a child. that's part of the law bill reform. >> carley: they go to family court now not regular court. >> tammy: if i can add the gains know this so if you're looking especially in california children will not be arrested or will be taken to juvenile and will be released. they were to crewed the teenagers, they recruit the miners to commit some of the most heinous crimes because they will be released, they will not face the same problems and then of course the other victims. these kids going in and they have no real, you know, decision-making capacity. going into a bar or into a place where there is a man with a gun sleeping on an air mattress, that person's life is also ruined so the people who are victimized first our young people of color, young people who are moved by the left or by gangs or by democrats who tell them the signal from society that there is no law and order, there is no repercussions. all of these lives are ruined and it goes right back down to

>> harris : i would feel safe if that's the case. >> mike: we need to give everyone the capacity but it is an inherent government responsibility to do the basic thing to protect property and people. >> harris : so basic. >> emily: so basic is to bed democratic elected officials have forgotten that coming up secretary pompeo on his new book, "never giv e an inch." the newday 100 va cash out loan lets you take out an average of $70,000. use that low-payment home loan to pay off your high-rate credit cards. then, pay off your car loan. and then take the cash left over and put it in the bank for the financial security that every veteran deserves. joint pain was keeping me from the moments i treasure most. but not anymore. blue-emu gave me these special moments back. it's the powerful relief my joints need. blue-emu, it works fast and you won't stink.
