>> ainsley: cities across the united states are bracing for the release of the police body cam footage of the traffic stop in memphis that led to the death of 29-year-old tyree nichols. >> will: from atlanta to los angeles they are on high alert as nichols mother asks to remain peaceful. >> brian: charles has the details, charles. >> good morning steve, brian, and ainsley. we are learning that four of the five memphis police officers are out of jail on bonds after being charged with murder in the death of 29-year-old tyree nichols. as we speak dimitri salie is the only one who remains behind bars on the $150,000 bond and while attorneys for mark four of the man say they appreciate how law enforcement cooperated with them and allowing them to turn themselves in safely they say even they haven't gotten this chance to view the body cam video in question. >> at this point we don't know

what proof they had. we have not seen come we have not discovered, we have not seen the video. we are kind of in the blind right now. >> and that video is expected to be released as early as this evening, grand jury indicted the men on several charges including second-degree murder, aggravated assault, aggravated kidnapping, official misconduct and official oppression. the men are accused of beating nichols so badly during a traffic stop that he was left unrecognizable. nichols ended up in hospital on january 7th and died three days later. last night the community held a vigil for the 29-year-old come his parents were there as well. >> i want each and every one of you to protest in peace. i don't want us burning up our cities, tearing up the streets, because that's not what my son

cities because we don't want a repeat of the floyd situation. >> ainsley: do even know what happened? >> lawrence: we have no information of what led up to the traffic stop, what happened during the traffic stop, we know there was a traffic stop and we see the end result of that photo right there. >> brian: they say pulled over for reckless driving nichols ran away from police on foot he gets pursued, and then we hear a lot of the cops. we did get the audio of the cop saying we are running, we are running, we are running and he's fighting and he's fighting. >> lawrence: these cops according to the report were also part of a special unit as well. there is an investigation right now to see did they know mr. nichols before this traffic stop? this is all speculation we have to get all the facts before coming to judgment but i will say having these individuals come out and the law enforcement of the tennessee bureau of

to you as relevant in the first moments of the trial? >> you know, all of these are really two trials in one. the trial against the defendant and then the trial against the police. so what i am judging is how good are the prosecutors at anticipating what the defense cross is going to be, you know jory is not an expert in crime scene analysis. you and i, well, we know the first responding officer does not process the crime scene. he doesn't take fingerprints. he doesn't do dna analysis. he is the responding officer. the jury doesn't know that. i'm sitting here wishing the prosecution had done a better job of anticipating what the cross would have been. remorse, you better be really careful with her because different people react differently. if the best thing you have in your parts if you could share kitchen case is that the person didn't cry then you don't have great evidence. >> will: yeah, that seems really tenuous to me as well.
