and a disturbing new study reveals that 8 million americans earning more than $100,000 a year are living paycheck to paycheck. meanwhile, president biden is touting electric vehicle tax credits tweeting this, "on my watch the great american road trip will be fully electrified with a picture of himself in a luxury hummer." one that doesn't even qualify. the starting price of that vehicle is 87,000 vehicle, which is double the medium american salary. after severe criticism the white house said the president driving a jeep that actually disqualified. ainsley come it is difficult to take them serious because the point remains that no matter what the president starts touting, it is always toned epic in concept and tone-deaf in optics with however he tries to market it. >> ainsley: is pushing these electric vehicles and everybody cares about the environment to some extent and possibly win down the road but they are very

expensive. you have two-thirds of americans living paycheck to paycheck, that is a lot of people that can't afford to pay bills, gas prices up from electric bills up, food costs at the store up. someone tweeted out may be the dealership will take a few dozen eggs in trade. the things that are unexpected and the things coming from this administration that force you into that corner. >> cheryl: the way i see this topic is a luxury, and electric car is a luxury and not a necessity. what is a an end necessity is housing peer that is where we are in trouble. affordability. so what i think he should be doing is making a statement with regard to how he will help the american people with affordable housing. in general, inflation. so income, mortgage rates and home prices are the main thing effecting the american people. what will determine home buyer's fate in 2023? and in addition to that, rent prices are skyrocketing. right? what is he going to do to try to help the american people when it comes to this. you are not supposed to spend more than 30% of your income. and yet for most american people are spending way above that. so to your point, emily, you are left with little money to spend

on other things like education and health care. also, one thing i found interesting is most of the searches online for homes 7 of 10 are across market searches, which means you are searching for a home other than where you currently reside appear to confirming the point that affordability is a main issue because people are searching for homes that were more affordable than where they currently are. so it is like an electric car is the last thing on my mind. i want to know what he is doing for home ownership how people get out of renting. >> i want to pick up on what think the cpr on fox business that shelters 40% of the component of the price jumps and it is rents so to katrina's point, people are paying more and more for rent because we don't have enough affordable housing. you add to the fact it is cheaper to feed your family at mcdonald's then it is to buy groceries at the grocery store. we have mcdonald's this morning and the sales were strong because people are going to mcdonald's to feed their

communicating. but the point is come i don't think communication is the issue. i think the point is she simply is not a leader, like you said. she hasn't accomplished anything peer at leader commands a presence and walks into a space. they have a vision and help people with the tools necessary to be able to execute on that vision. she has done none of that peer that is why we as american people don't feel confident in her and democrats don't feel confident in her. this brings up another point and maybe i'm going a different direction here, but it reminds me you as a woman in a relationship with a man and he is ready to leave and provide and protect, you as a woman take a step back and embrace your femininity because you feel like he could lead. this is what this reminds me of all's. no one has confidence in her. she doesn't remind me of a leader. >> ainsley: you go to read the editorial and they say many democrats worry biden's age is a

liability, 86 at the end of the second term but fret there is no alternative. and then she has not had the ability to capture the parties imagination. >> never got to voting in the primary. >> she had such a great opportunity though. so many women were excited about her peer of the first woman of color to be vice president. what does this mean for the future possibly as president one day? her resume is amazing when you look what she's done in california. but look, we are not our country overall california. those are not our politics. todd, this guy the cobb county democrats, he said something interesting and i want your opinion as a man. he said there was a segment that won't vote for a woman as president. there is another segment that won't vote for an african american appeared having two of those checked boxes, you will have a higher threshold regardless. hillary clinton had one of those boxes checked, vilified and beat up to the point she couldn't recover. could you agree or has our

country gotten past that? >> todd: i think there is some truth to that but at the end of the day, if the right candidate is in there either party, that candidate, black, woman, it won't matter appear that person will be the next president or a president at some point down the line. what i find interesting about this, what is happening since 2023, the first democrats went after joe biden on the document scandal and now kamala harris now. they did nothing with regards to any criticism over these two over the first two years, right? so that begs the question you were talking about, what are these people trying to set up, these leakers to go after joe and kamala? who is there alternative may repeat the transportation secretary who did a horrible job with -- wait for it, transportation? it is a little bit concerning, confusing the motives but if i could do one more topic that you raised earlier, kamala and the california media and i was in the california media when kamala was making her rights.

at the time that philadelphia district attorney refused to press charges against him, but the doj did appear the biden administration wanted him to face 11 years in prison for violating the freedom of access to clinic and trances act. not only that but the fbi raided his house 25 agents before arresting him in front of his family and they had their weapons drawn, guns drawn. and the experience he appeared with sean hannity and his lawyer last night. >> so i called agents full squat gnomic swat geared, ballistic helmets, battering ram, banged on my door. >> the face act that they charged here is about access to the clinics. it's not about dealing with issues down the sidewalk so right here today, what we did is win a big victory for the pro-life movement against the biden administration. it took about an hour to find mark not guilty on all charges. >> emily come i wanted to get
