american history, which makes kamala consequential. news just broke that joe biden skipped his 2022 physical. and when the oldest president in the history of the country skips his physical, hides it, catches covid twice, fractures his foot chasing his dog, falls off his bike and falls up the stairs and needs notes that say hi, i'm joe biden, democrats aren't taking anything for granted. biden said he probably run for re-election, god-willing. if god doesn't choose our president. the fbi does. and the fbi can cut biden down whenever they want. the fbi put biden in the white house and they can take him out. he is drowning in classified documents. he has got a special counsel, u.s. attorney in delaware. and house republicans following the family money. we already know the fbi has the biden family on wiretaps talking to chinese spies. why do you think bernie sanders is putting a book out now?

that the fbi might get rid of joe biden for them and then that he leaves kamala who can't hack it. so they are scrambling right now. how do you think this makes kamala feel. you have "the washington post." his warren is one thing but then you have "the washington post." they don't take random calls from democrats who want to feed them things. "the washington post" has to assign a reporter to go out and talk to democrat officials all across the country and ask them if they think kamala has what it takes. and then they have to frame that story the way they framed it. this was a designated hits. what does that tell you? >> just like the classified document scandal on joe biden is also an organized hit on him. you would not know about joe biden's classified documents, jesse, if the deep state didn't want you to know about them. likewise, with these stories, they are being seeded in the top

>> "primetime" demands transparency we fought the napa county d.a. for mugshot and dash cam and now we are doing it again with the case of tyre nichols because even though memphis police chief released hour footage five cops beat nichols to death still missing a critical piece of video. dash cam of police pulling tyre over and the body cam footage from the first cop who walked up to the car. the chief says the dash cam footage doesn't exist. undercover cars aren't outfitted with cameras. convenient. okay. but they have their body cams on in the car, usually. so where is the rest of the body cam footage? body cam footage usually roll in the car. it might be the most consequential piece of evidence in the case. we know what happened the night

tyre was killed but still don't know why. here is what we do know. the body cam starts when the last cop arrives on the scene. nichols is already stopped in the middle of the road. boxed in by two other cop cars and the next thing you know nichols is ripped out of his car and beaten. now, why was nichols pulled over in the first place in the police have given us conflicting reasons. the initial police report filed just hours after the incident says tyre was an aggravated assault suspect. and then memphis police later said he was pulled over for reckless driving. but there's no proof that he was driving recklessly. even the chief says she can't confirm it. so, we'll just have to take the words of the guys who beat nichols to death. and here's the thing about those guys. they were part of the scorpion union a specialized unit to fight violent street crime. they do guns and narcotics gust. they don't do traffic stop and chief davis isn't answering a lot of our questions. we know the chief has been accused 6 cover-ups in the past.

she was fired from the atlanta police department in 2008 for allegedly helping a sergeant cover up her husband's child porn issues. she was a deputy chief at the time and two of her detectives said she told them not to investigate the case. did she help cover up something here? if that's true, this could be a pattern. now, "primetime" is not the only ones asking questions. even msnbc is wondering what's going on. >> mr. crump, was this random? i mean, he was a couple blocks from home. this was the route he took every night. he worked with his father at fedex. was this random or do you have any suspicion or information that he was in some way targeted? that they knew who they were following? traffic stops were not supposed to be part of their beat. that wasn't what the scorpion unit supposedly did. >> we're continuing to dig to find out the truth of the matter. but, everything, based on what we know now, was this was a regular stop that this scorpion

unit engaged in all the time in this community. >> jesse: so andrea mitchell wants to know was nichols targeted by these five officers and if so why? and when the police chief doesn't release the full footage of the traffic stop people speculate. memphis is buzzing right now with rumors that tyre nichols might have dated one of the cops' exgirlfriends. people are saying tyre and the baby momma be both worked together at fedex. "primetime" has not been able to verify. this "newsweek" is now investigating whether or not one of the officers targeted tyre because of baby momma drama. now "newsweek" has not been able to verify this. tyre's stepdad says this story nothing but a rumor. nothing to it. his family is upset. can you blame them? we have a dead kid with no rap sheet getting dragged through the mud. getting half the country trying to federalize the police and still the country doesn't know

what happened that night. up to "primetime" to step in and help. we filed a records request with the city of memphis demanding they release thest are of the body cam footage the least they can do. morrow inspector and founder of the ops desk.org. have you heard about this rumor floating around memphis? >> i have. i actually heard it pretty quickly. but, unable to verify. >> jesse: and have your police sources been speaking about this as well? >> yeah. so, i mean, other penal are hearing it as well. i heard about it from somebody that is on the job down there in memphis. but it was a sort of subsource you, one off. unable to verify. a lot of people are poking at this. a lot of people are trying to find it. i suspect if it's there it will come out. i have to say my inclination with these things generally the simplest and most obvious answer is usually most accurate. i think if there had been some sort of under lying motive here, we would have heard some indicia

of that during the event. the person who supposedly is getting wronged by tyre would probably have been yelling stuff to that effect. so i'm not really quite ready to buy into it. >> jesse: we did hear something after the beating took place they were talking amongst themselves what was one of the things the officer said like he tried to run me over with the car? >> yeah. one of the officers says to somebody else on the scene he almost hit us. he tried to hit us, something to that effect. which, you know, would explain potentially some motive for the stop. now, remember, they are on body cam at that point. you don't know if he is playing to the body cam or not. when i saw and heard it did not seem that way to me. i think they frankly were probably unaware that the body cam was on because that conversation subsequent to the event is not going to help them. >> jesse: so how do you physically turn on the body cam? when do you do it? does it go on automatically? what's the procedure? >> all right, so generally it's mounted on your chest some place that can get a full view and you have to hit a button.

standardized procedure published inside the department that tells you when you are supposed to do it. generally the rule is on the way to a police event. some place where you are going to be interacting with the public. unless there is a real compelling legal or reason not to do it like for instance interviewing the victim of a sex crime you are supposed to put it on. in this case the first body cam that we have seen comes from officer hemphill running up on the scene as one of the other cops is already bring the victim out of the car. >> he was the white guy, right? >> that's right. >> he hit, i think, with the taser. >> that's right. >> jesse: the victim. that didn't really do much or the taser wasn't effect tia. and then they also hit nichols pretty hard with the pepper spray but that wasn't effective. >> which really does surprise me i have to say. all my years i have never seen the pepper spray not have any effect whatsoever. is he wiping off his face, et cetera. what does happen sometimes with the pepper spray is that it sun sets. if it hasn't been changed in a while it loses efficacy. the problem here with that theory none of these cops have a

long time on the job officer hemphill for instance he only joined the police department in 2020 down there. he was put in this unit in 2021. that is mind boggling to me. >> jesse: not ready. >> less than two years on the job and one of the point of the spear units. i was on probation for two years with the nypd which means they can fire you if they don't like your face. i remember coming off probation being very relieved. so to put such i object experienced officers into this unit really suggests a lack of supervision, a lack of foresight. >> jesse: we don't yet have the toxicology report or the official cause of death, do we? >> no. so what we do have is the autopsy that was tasked by the family. and this was done by private coroner or medical examiner. doesn't give a cause of death. it just says something about him suffering blunt force trauma, et cetera. but it doesn't pinpoint a cause of death. this is getting into the realm, jesse, similar what was going on with idaho, i would suggest, is that there is a lot of scrutiny

jail. it cured me of the physical addiction. a big part of addiction is the mental addiction. jail didn't do that for me. i'm proposing mandated one to two years of treatment. treat psychiatric issues, job training and prepare people for a life when they get out. >> jesse: does it help to get arrested and go to prison. do you need to hit rock bottom to bounce back up? >> i think i needed to hit rock bottom. i think a lot of people do. i don't recommend we send everyone to jail. it got me off the streets, off heroin. it relieved me of my physical addiction and changed my life for the good. >> jesse: we're glad you're out of that. >> thank you. >> jesse: when the city hands out housing vouchers are they even effective? >> well, that's the thing if you're homeless because of poverty maybe that helps. we see the vast majority of
