10:34 pm
packaged food and you happen to have your reading glasses withineading reach and you decie to look at what's on the label, what's the stuff you wonder and it says sustainable. what does that mean?u ca well, you can see on yourompa screen, it turns outnies that at of companies use the termainabl sustainable to suggeste" crickets. crickets chirping, insects. e ce so why are crickets winding upts in your snack? foods? >> and is that a good idea?at should you be eating crickets your knoyour knowledge? >> dr. marwlc siegel joins us to . sess >> hey, doctor , this is actually very serious. now, first of all, eating s iscts is legal in the united states per the fda. and yes, crickets are inon flower, crickets are. ind cotton candy, snacks and insects are high in protein, they low in fat, lo ew in carbohydrate. the item in africa, they eat a themsia, in asia, they eat themn mexico. not a lot of people are eatingei them here yet.ngi can understand
10:35 pm
and i and i can understand why i'm certainly not eating insects. f but the problem is that the fda, tucker, has a difficult standard and that's what it sounds like, very lax. u and so insects get into your food in the growing s.ocess and the processing process. listen to this. the fda allows allows up insec to four hundred and fifty pax of30 insectsn a bo spaghetti. thirty insect parts in a chocolate bar, thirty insect r perts in a jar of peanut butter inan spices and almost anythinga you can name. there arlme insectt parts in te now. disgusting. yes, but i'll tell you something else.. disgusting. as a physician peopl as a physician, people are allergic to this stuff because insects are a lot like shellfish. so if you have a shellfish, you could get itchy from any of this stuff. you could eny fromd up in the emergency room having problems breathing. you could get asthma, you could get a rashp havi. and there's nothing i can do about this. so i'm i'm very concerned about the lack the laxity of this.
10:36 pm
now, there's one other thing that i want to bring up here, which is that currently we'rees seeing food skyrocketing prices under the current situation, eggs going up the and meat. e t and so more and more you're seeing thiappears insects appean and , tucker, i wouldn't be surprised if we end up with a bug mandate that you and i have to eat insects, whate down thehink? is that the next mandate coming down the pike? >> tucker, probably.robably. and you don't want excepts up the ones who i can tell you. how is a cricketis , how is it cricket, which is obviously a fashionable insect, materially differentnt from a cockroach? . it >> well, it actually tastes better.'s it's crunchy. >> it can be flavorful, but and cockroaches are really slimy and mar-a-lago. you don't know what direction they're going in. but i stilflavorfufcockrol can'f to this idea of eating them, g the flour now hav

so what should we take of this again? you can be deeply skeptical, in fact hostile toward china and still be worried about going to war with china. >> jimmy doaa is the host of the jimmy dorje show. he joins us tonight to assess. p >> jimmy , what should we be paying attention to a memoit? like this? what do you think it means?k ite united states is tryin what i think it means is that the united states is trying to provoke and rather with another nuclear power. right. n p this is what wow e were supposed to be afraid of.he's a what's going to happen with donald trump? right. we couldn't have he's a crazy man who's going to have his finger on the nuclear button. and now we have demented j joe who is saber rattling with two nuclear powers thporatecans the corporate media sponsored by the military industrial complex to get americans to cheer it on . and why do americans cheered on ? because they have no idea happgn actually happening idea with their foreign policy. and what's worse is they have no ide hava tha that. they have no idea what that they don't have any idea what's happening with theirwe foreign policy. s we have four hundred military bases surrounding china since
10:39 pm
the korean war. do we really think that china is getting ready to invade the united states ? because i tell you, they're not . they make everything we use in the united states . why? becaust the e the same people who want this war are the same people who took the good jobs, our manufacturing jobs in america turned them into low p paying , jobs and then shippedo. them to china. and then we get angry at them for the system that we set upth if they're so corrupt, because that's the thing americans haveh no idea how corruptcorr their government is .up they think our government just t regular, corrupt, like, oh, trump gave his son a job or the biden gave his kid no no show job in the ukraine. t that's notcorr the whole thing is corrupt. the eight hundred billionthe dollar military budget is eight hundred billio80n of corruption. why coul why do we have to have eight , nine hundred military bases? po we're the ones provoking this war just like we l provoked we'rwar in ukraine. we are now provoking a warr with with china. and what who who benefits?s no i'll tell you right now, russi the enemy is not china. your enemy is not russia. your enemy is the military indust industrial complex. rialplexwhich has been fleecings
