in coming up. >> sandra: we anticipate all of that. first this fox news alert. fbi agents have just completed moments ago their search of president biden's vacation home as the doj investigation into the handling of classified documents widens. sandra smith in new york. hello, john. >> john: hello, sandra. halfway through the week. the search at biden's rehobeth beach home marks the first time fbi has looked at private locations tied to the president. >> sandra: david spunt has the breaking details. this search just wrapped, david. so, were any classified documents found at the president's beach house? >> sandra, john, no classified documents found. this is according to the president's personal attorney, bob bauer. the search began this morning at 8:30 in the morning at the rehobeth beach home, wrapped up at noon. three and a half hours, quite

the contrast from what we saw just a few weeks ago when we learned on a friday the fbi spent almost 13 hours inside the president's wilmington, delaware home and did find more classified documents. president biden purchased this home back in 2017 when he was a former vice president at the start of summer, but right now doj not picking up any classified documents there at that home. i want to read the statement from bob bauer, a little long but i think it's important. doj plan search of the president's rehobeth residence concluded incoordination and cooperation with the president's attorneys, 8:30 a.m. to noon, no documents with classified markers were found, consistent with the process in wilmington, took for further review materials and handwritten notes that appear to his time as vice president. now today here at the justice department where i am, robert

here is andy biggs, this was biggs, your republican colleague last night on the border and why he's pushing to now impeach mayorkas. listen to this on tucker. >> he's literally attacked the essence of this country by attacking the geographical integrity and he's changing so much, he's put so many people in danger, we have terrorists here that would never have been here, criminal gang members and well over a million people here -- we have no idea anything about their background, where they went, because they just got away into the country because of his policies. >> sandra: so where do you stand on the calls for mayorkas to step down? do you back that? >> well, i think it's important that we consider that if the president is telling the truth, that he thinks the border is sealed, he thinks things are reasonably good, somewhere between him and the secretary is between him, somebody is not telling the truth. so, candidly, he is the -- the secretary is the logical one to
10:10 am
bring before congress, whether it's impeachment or simply getting him to face the truth. the truth is those numbers showed the policies are not working, reversal of the policies are not working, essentially he has to do a lot to contain it where all he had to do two years ago was maintain it. and that's a big -- a big pull and i don't think he's capable of it so he probably should step down. the question is, would we get a replacement that would actually enforce the laws and make efforts to make our streets safe again, and just if i can digress, the 5 million or so people that are here needing public assistance because they have been allowed into the country, what are we going to do if another 5 million and another 5 million come. there has to be a limit and right now there is no limit in sight. >> sandra: when you look at the trend lines, we are on track to see that happen unless something changes or the administration wakes up. finally play this out. locals on the border dangers and

the threats from the cartels, congressman. >> these people come across, they are still indebted to the cartel, not everybody is able to pay for it and they come as indentured servants and live below the system. >> the border is 100% not secure, and a lot of people don't like the united states for whatever reason. >> sandra: knowing so many more, a growing number of your colleagues on the left that are speaking up and out about this, do you think this white house will wake up? >> well, i hope they will. i think as they see crime rise around the country, they see groups like ms13 be able to move their people into the country to commit crimes, they are going to realize that legal immigration is a process of weeding out the very people that are getting in because the borders are open. >> sandra: it is really something and we continue to bring our viewers the latest from the border, these pictures, video, drone footage every single day because those borders
10:12 am
are open and migrants continue to pour over. thanks for the update, thanks for stepping up. john, we'll continue to monitor the hearings on the hill. obviously there's been a lot of, you know, fiery moments that have happened and rightly so where there needs to be a big challenge to what we are going to do to stem this because we see the fentanyl crisis, that continues to explode in this country, the cartels and the violence, it is -- it is a true crisis. >> john: pretty telling when the cbp official was asked about mayorkas' statement the border was secured, closed, and he said neither of those things was true. that's pretty obvious when you look at the situation there. the northeast, are you ready for this, sandra, bracing for bone chilling temperatures as part of a polar vortex moving in this weekend. it comes as an arctic blast creates chaos in the south. who is going to get the worst of this? plus this.

10:35 am
happen here, why are markets sort of backing off and anticipating maybe some bad news from the fed. what do you think? >> a few days ago everyone was celebrating. fed maybe taper off on rate increases. they will still raise rates artificially, it will put pressure on the economy. people are already being squeezed. credit card debt is going up, retail sales are under pressure. the economy is weaker than the biden administration acknowledges and the fed is wrong thinking the way to fight inflation is -- but they need to have a strong dollar. they hope they don't hurt the economy too much. bogus stuff from the 70s and repeating it again today, they never learn. >> sandra: the massive rate hikes, you see the chart there, to bring down the high prices
