improve people's mood. we asked people how they would describe people today it's clear we are not the brady bunch. 81% describe america as dysfunctional family up 10 points from 2020. only 16% would describe america as a tight-knit family. what has everyone so upset? polling suggests it's pretty obvious, economy and inflation. 80% of registered voters ranking the economy as fair and poor. the 20% who say it's excellent probably haven't been in the grocery store in the last couple months. president biden or any any president doom and gloom feelings on the economy can have severe repercussions they disapprove how the president is handling the economy specifically when it comes to inflation which polling shows 66% of people are not satisfied with the president's handling of the issue. so, to tackle inflation, the federal reserve is once again raising interest rates. wednesday's rate increase now up a quarter of a point as the eighth time we have seen a raise in the last year. economic leaders say they are also considering a couple more raises in the months ahead. so, throughout this year.

they are on parole? >> ainsley: it was crazy. several stance, like 13 stops they started in like queens. >> steve: 13 people. >> ainsley: down to the garment district. then they went to brooklyn and came back into the city. they are just hitting up food trucks and women women walking on the streets and yelling cell phones and pistol whipped a guy. >> brian: not only criminals they are idiots. listener to what they said as they were put into the cop car. >> i will be out in 24 hours out on bail. >> brian: absolutely. normally you would. the problem is everyone heard that now they put federal charges on alvin have aless and carlos perez. being that they are serial criminals and armed robbery. they divided to let the feds take over. they are still in jail. >> ainsley: police say valez 11 prior arrests sexual abuse, assault, attempted murder and criminal sale of a controlled substance spent 8 years in

prison and released in november of 2021. while out on parole. velez was arrested five times. >> steve: here's the thing. there were already federal charges outstanding. one of the guys was out on parole for murder. the other guy a gun charge. how many times have we heard. >> brian: that's possible? >> steve: it is in new york city. ains avians how are you out for attempted murder. shouldn't you be behind bars? >> steve: the revoifling door. >> ainsley: locked up in 2019 attempted murder and released in 2021. >> steve: they were on parole. here's the thing. we hear if you break your parole. if you violate your parole, you're going right back to jail and you saw the string of infractions. these guys are, you know, ultimately this is a symptom of a very broken system. here's the chief of detectives talking about how because they were on parole, they never should have been out on the streets but they were and they robbed 13 people in two hours. >> they were on parole for bad

lot of attention is placed on immigration which, you know, it should be. there is definitely some problems that need to be fixed there. but, not a lot of focus is being put on border security. and that's the main reason that i came up here was to talk about fentanyl coming over the border due to an exacerbated system that the cartels are taking advantage of. >> steve: you are absolutely right. and explain what happened with noah because you say it was not an overdose. so, if it was -- we hear that all the time. so if it was not an overdose, explain what happened. >> so, it's actually classified by the d.e.a. poisoning. in overdoses people knew what they were taking and they just took too much. with the case of fentanyl poem

aren't going out looking for fentanyl and the cartels are mixing it with anything that they ship across the border if people ununaware that it's there that it could be a problem, you know, they think they are taking a xanax or adderall or percocet or whatever the case may be by this drug that's highly toxic. >> steve: indeed, brandon, i know there were congress men and women who heard your message yesterday and we played portions today. but joe biden probably did not hear what you had to say; however, there are people at the white house who watch this program. what would you like to say to the president about the fentanyl that killed your son? >> it's real. it's a real thing. fentanyl is always -- not always

have that same access. here is why it is so important. 350,000 people a year suffer an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest and fewer than 10% of them survive because they are not surrounded by someone who knows cpr. so, our message today is that anyone can do cpr hands only cpr is very easy to do. >> brian: not something new, right? >> it has always been beat hard beat fast in the middle of the chest. karen will show you how easy it is. >> how long do you have to save someone's life after they go into cardiac arrest? >> so every minute that you go without cpr your chance of survival drops 10%. so you have 10 minutes to really get in there and do something. can you do cpr for a while. and still have a positive outcome but you want to get started in those first couple of minutes. >> steve: give us a refresher course. this is essentially the same thing i learned back in the 1970s in 4-h, right? >> for sure. the fundamentals are pretty much the same. now. if you had someone they would probably be on the ground

and get that air into their body. 911 will get there. >> steve: is that abc. airway, breathing, circulation. >> you remember a lot from your 4-h. listen to you. >> you tilt the chin. you pinch the nose, you breathe, in you get. >> the important message is the first thing to do if you see someone fall from a cardiac arrest. you always activate 911. so number one, call 911. number two. start beating hard and fast in the middle of the chest to the tune staying alive. because that has 110 beats a minute. which is the rate. >> ainsley: i would think if this happened to my child or a loved one, i would be panicking. in your experience how do we stay focused and make sure we keep them alive without panicking. >> that's part of why we want everyone to know what to do because if you have a plan it's easier to perform. if i said you, are call 911, get me an aed. >> brian: tell me a difference for the baby. >> on a baby what you will actually do is you are not going
