is, so explain plain what a classical education is briefly. >> absolutely. rachel, the story of american higher ed really for the past half century has been a story of one college after another trashing any kind of a serious core curriculum, you know? if you're watching this and you graduated college in the '60s or '70s, then you probably took u.s. history or economics or western civilization. but those days are long gone. many colleges now have gone to kind of an a la carte model, but there's a narrow band. schools like the university of dallas, hillsdale, grove city college that have maintained and sometimes doubled down on a traditional core curriculum in the great books of western civilization with the aim of the cultivation of virtue, moral formation. it's an incredible education, and they are bucking the national trend which is really a decline of young people going to 4-year, brick and mortar liberal arts colleges. rachel: you're seeing young people being drawn to the

classic, to these great books that have been, you know, a cornerstone of our civilization and have informed and taught the people over the centuries. why are you seeing this trend? why do you believe? >> you know, i think every parent wants this kind of education for their children. every parent and even across the political spectrum parents want their children to go to school and come back more honest. they want their children to grow in wonder and curiosity. you know, the same explosive growth that we're seeing at the college level we're seeing in k-12 the as well with the growth of classical charter schools and an absolute explosion of home schooling is going on right now. class call schools -- classical schools, and fox news has been covering this story, hundreds of new classical christian schools launched every year. and the real difference, rachel, is in the lives of these young people. you meet these children that are receiving this kind of education, and there's a difference. it's incredible. it's encouraging. rachel: yeah. you see it in the kids. my only regret is i didn't do it
