shot down over the weekend. >> brian: recovery effort underway as the white house claims three spy balloons flew over the u.s. urine detected during the trump administration. >> ainsley: that's what they say. >> pete: that's the new. >> brian: unkey texted it now. >> pete: detected the undetectable. charles is live in south myrtle myrtle beach with the latest. charles? >> navy divers were out searching the waters of the atlantic ocean to try to recover the debris from the chinese spy balloon shot down off the carolina coast on saturday. for sunday we were out here most of the day and saw several vessels large and small out on the water presumably for this operation which is expected to take days. we're told recovery efforts began not too long after the balloon was shot down by an f-22 fighter jet and debris went crashing into the atlantic. the suspected spy balloon originated in china and floated for at least a week through the continental u.s. with a brief

diversification into canada before it eventually ended up off the coast of south carolina, shocking folks who live in the myrtle beach area. >> expected to come to your backyard and so, of course, when it does, you kind of follow it and watch what's going on and it's been something that's drawn the attention of all the people in the community. >> yeah, and so this balloon passed over at least five sensitive u.s. military sites including malmstrom air force base in montana, home to one of three of the nation's nuclear missile silos. while the biden administration fends off criticism of how long it took to take the balloon out, it is also pointing to the trump administration saying spy balloons flew over the u.s. unchecked during president trump's tenure. claims former director of national intelligence john ratcliffe say are false. >> something goes wrong in the biden administration, there is one of two responses, they either find a way to blame the
