we will get there at the end of the show. all right, a lot to get to this hour but we look ahead to tonight, president biden will deliver the state of the union address in less than nine hours from now. and he certainly will have a lot of explaining to do to the nation. first, there is the growing controversy over the chinese spy balloon that flew over the country for more than a week. before he took action. the record-breaking biden search at the southern border and the scandal surrounding his son hunter. i don't think he will mention that. plus, his address tonight seen as a kickoff for his 2024 campaigns. yes, he is running, i told you he was but he may have a lot of convincing on that front. the poll says majority of democrats don't want him to run again and biden to talk about unity but that may be a tough selling point considering he just said this on friday. >> judgment till my jobs are up, which is a rub from inflation is

down and covid no longer controls our life. the extreme republicans don't make maga republicans will put at risk. this is not your father's republican party. these are disruptive people. let me ask you a simple question: are you with me? [cheers and applause] >> kayleigh: so political reporting unity speech, you won't hear maga republicans and none of that blood red maga speech. apparently, what do you expect? >> bill: i think that you are probably going to hear a policy speech that deals with we have set in place these ideas and they are working and give them time. we need more time. so we will stay the course. with regard to the speech tonight, however you think of the state of the union addresses last year 30 million people

watched. 20 years ago george bush at 62 million people march 2003 and the iraq war and times were different. but if you look at the popularity over the last 20 years, it has gone down more and more. having said that, 38, 40 million people still a good slice. he has a chance to have a conversation. i would expect him to push his own policies and his own idea with regard to unity, that is the theme he brought to the inauguration speech. you can ask republicans how that is going after two years. >> kayleigh: it it is not going well but harris, interestingly you look back historically gerald ford was candid with the american people at the state of union. president trump said the state of the union is strong. but it is my view the state of the union is compromised. we had a chinese spy balloon and the islamic afghanistan and we woke up to the new tele bland stayed a year ago. the russia war, illegal border

for climate change. what his real goals are with the american people. if they are to bring down the prices, other than gas for a little while by tapping oil reserves like they are a keg. they are low, historically low and going back up as china threatens to buy global oil and bring those prices back up, i think he's got to be real with the american people. >> bill: pretty good. and i feel your pain. >> harris: he won't say that. >> kayleigh: he should say that though to your point, 30% feeling good about the country and the direction and feeling better off financially, ainsley. you put that aside and i don't think biden will mentioned that. a smart writer said no mention of the afghanistan withdrawal, no mention of syria, no mention of north korea and barely mention china. he avoids topics that don't look good for him. so tonight, i don't think we will hear it. before he said he's not changing his speech.

then the china spy flight happens, he's not changing his speech. he will have to say something to that i was watching your show early this morning and talking about dana read an article where he might have a small mention of it but not a paragraph. but he has to address that. this is on the forefront of all of our minds especially general manahan predicts we are at war with china 2025, very scary and sending spy fly over the country eight days. he didn't shoot it down. he says it has to be over the water. it was over the water febr february 28th and he waited eight more days here at the next saturday, we did a week to shoot it down to south carolina after they seems a military installation, the silos. who knows what they have seen. some of the experts are saying i don't think they have the information. there is no way to get intel from that.

party. democrats 37% want him to seek a term and down 15%. don't make>> emily: downright disappointed if reelected. i agree with everyone's comments on the couch. i think the first thing we need from him his it is the last thing you would ever get, harass, you are absolutely right. the last thing you would ever get from commander-in-chief's acknowledgment of americans are suffering right now over the kitchen table and over their pocketbooks. we talked yesterday out of ten families have in three months' time trying to make ends meet. they have stopped saving. and when he was asked about it, he started swearing. this is the commander-in-chief that under his botched afghanistan withdrawal, 13 service members lost their lives that he yet internally does not acknowledge and says, i have no regret over that. tonight, cylinder says there has

been no presidential failure and has not called a victory. that is what we are going to hear tonight. is he patting himself on the back about taking down the chinese spy flight ten days after the fact? we will hear him pat himself on the back record economic recovery not accounting for the fact covid had to in the toilet essentially. everything will be fun. he will absolutely reference anyone who is on the g.o.p. side. he will blame the average hardworking americans for flying the american flag and the thin blue flag and will name a lot of names tonight that don't acquaint to and are not those honorable men and women in service in uniform who have given their lives on the line under his watch. >> bill: it looks like we are all watching. >> kayleigh: we are all watching. >> bill: i will be interested to see what is memorable. and what lines have been memorable from the state of the union address. bill clinton had the lines and 1980s era big government over.

we all know china spy flight was finally shot down. the fbi is now beginning to analyze the debris they are collecting from the waters. in these new images show the navies salvage operators pulling those remnants of the flight from the waters off of the coast of myrtle beach, south carolina. we are learning at least three past flights have invaded u.s. forces. yesterday the commander admitted the agency didn't detect these previous threats. watch this. >> day today, we do not have the authority to collect intelligence within the united states of america. in this case, specific authorities were granted to collect intelligence against the balloon specifically and utilize specific capabilities to do that. >> harris: he talks about having a gap in our technology. >> bill: domain awareness gap. >> kayleigh: sounds technical. i have some gaps i would love to have explained.

first of all the leaking against the trump administration, three balloons in the trump administration denied by pompeo, mark esper, denied by many others defense officials and i never had a chinese spy because we didn't know about it at least. so, the linking gnomic leaking of the trump administration. i didn't come up with this but a question raised by a former colleague, at my press office. we can pull this up the pentagon january 28th said u.s. officials first detected the born january 28th. this has before it crosses alaska. january 31st, karine jean-pierre at the white house says this, "he, the president was briefed on tuesday, that is january 31st. was the president of the united states not briefed on this for three days? did he miss the opportunity to shoot it down over alaska? a question for karine jean-pierre. >> harris: or did he know and that is part of the timeline that it should be in the speech and likely a lot of people knew

democrats and white house, capitol hill, and around the nation including some who helped her put her there on the 2020 ticket said she has not risen to the challenge of proving herself as a future leader of the party much less the country. some democrats and own revised advisories literally confided that they have lost hope in her. in the paper also reveals hillary clinton is among those questioning the vice president political abilities writing "members of congress democratic strategists and said harris had not made herself into a formidable leader." two democrats recall private conversations where hillary clinton lamented harris cannot win because she does not have the political instincts to clear a primary field. still, to me that is a little captain obvious. she didn't clear the primary field because we didn't get to see what happened after the iowa debacle because a nice presidential ticket position.

for those of us from california, we know quite well she hasn't earned or established any type of political -- despite her title. >> bill: she is taking fire from a lot of sides. i don't know how this will turn out but a spokesperson for hillary clinton denied that she said that. i don't know if it is true or not. i don't know if she's thinking it. i don't know if the quotes are accurate. i would have two questions about this, you have to go back to the early 1970s. explain to me two things come up is the off ramp for her and who takes her place? joe biden is running again, then who does he fill the ticket with? until that is clear, i can't buy what she is going to step aside. speed two great questions and former secretary said, "it is because she is a historic first. that is why these are a unique and fresh set of challenges." >> ainsley: we gave her a great opportunity. we had no one else to compare to

so a great opportunity to do well. as women, we try to be nice people. i don't love to talk negatively about how she speaks to individuals when she talks about all the sins or reading articles and the astronauts. they go to the moon. and they look at the creator, whatever. i was reading the articles and i feel sorry for her because they are trying to paint this picture she is not smart. her resume speaks for soap you're in california politics are different than middle america, south carolina. and we knew what we were getting. she is very progressive but she has not impressed me and it took her forever to go down there and when she talks an interview she giggles and repeats herself and comes up with -- she's just not great on her feet. it doesn't mean she's not a good person. i just don't think for this job. when she was in her feud with scott pelley, why haven't you gone to the border?

to do the right thing. she said, it is already a challenge for transgender community because suicide rate is high. this adds another discussion to the discussion. the cardiovascular system is bigger, the respiratory system is bigger, hands are bigger and she can swim faster peer of the scientists who are against the save the transgender women who have gone through male puberty they still hold competitive edge over competitors even one year testosterone suppression therapy is not enough to ensure fairness. >> kayleigh: caitlin set on this couch and told us that. >> emily: i want to point out what riley herself said, she is the ivy league spokesperson and lawmakers are here to protect post-policies that threaten fairness, equity and security for women. i think there is something to be said for amplifying diversity and for raising others up but not at the cost of diminishing others. not of the cost of other scholarship opportunities. what about the rising suicide

when you are the transportation czar and not running smoothly you need to know what the people are going through. 16,000 flights were canceled, tickets canceled through christmas for southwest. i feel sorry for moms taking their babies, breastfeeding, changing diapers and stuck on the plane. it is so frustrating. i'm not a crier to the airport when they canceled my flight come i was trying to get to christmas and i was stuck and they would not send me home until after christmas. that is so frustrating. if you are going to buy a ticket, make it reliable. just get the planes in the air. >> harris: i love capitalism if you can afford to do with. but that is not what we are talking about their hypocrisy on the left so often that is part of the conversation. speak to the bottom line is safety, life or death is at stake here. and we talk about potentially fatal consequences with two planes within 100 feet of each other. we know that catastrophic occurrence with holidays and

to man. he barely cries, he sleeps through the night and he is the exact opposite of his much beloved sister blake. she is a little firecracker, she does not stop talking, apparently that's how i was, she's me, and nash is my husband sean. we were on an airplane taking off, nash so calm the whole way, blake lands with marker all over her face. >> oh, there is your husband. >> one thing, we heard the song "don't blink," and so easy to get in the habit of diaper, bottle, swaddle, every three hours and you can lose the moment. all those young moms out there, take a beat, take a moment, take it in, and i did it so much better with my second child than my first, enjoy the moment. diaper, bottle, swaddles get done, the moments can pass you by. >> what's one of your favorite moments between blake and nash? >> she's so loving. she'll kiss him on the head and

yesterday i'm upstairs, nash is downstairs with my husband and blake looks around, where's baby nash, where is he, in a panic, can i bring nash home with me when we were in florida, she's a beautiful older sister, and a nice little young mother. >> great, congrats. >> i love the advice you give. be present, be in that moment. >> i talked to one mom, she had given birth to four children, much older, and looks at me with tears in her eyes and said those were the best four days of my life when i gave birth, and set the perspective in my own life. stress, leave it aside and take in the moment. >> and you got a boy. >> i got a boy, a young baseball player. >> emily was asking me during the commercial, she said what is the hardest part about being a mom, and it's the most wonderful, someone told me the best job, it's the hardest job you'll ever love. but for me it's just there's no time. the moment your child -- unless they are in school, when they are in school i'm racing to pick
