>> steve: president biden delivering its state of the union to divided congress, did the message resonate with you? here are the top takeaways. lee carter joins us live. what has reaction been to the president's speech? >> i'm getting flack for saying this, it was a very good speech, probably one of president biden's best speeches. does that mean it was great overall? no, it was a good speech, except two things, delivery and his credibility, specifically on issues related to the economy, inflation and working together with republicans. >> steve: it is all about unity, when you are together in the big room, you should pretend and he was pretending. here are sound bites, here is the first one, the president talking about china and he obliquely references that thing that floated over america last

trying to sound like he's tough on the border? >> he did not sound like he is tough on the border. four lines on the border, four lines and one line talking about amnesty, not seeing leadership here. they arrested 8000 traffickers, seen 8000 people cross in texas per day. per day. they doesn't mention the cartels. that could be bipartisan. it is a national security threat. he had the nerve to mention fentanyl issue not tie it to cartel and chinese suppliers. we have two cartels that are responsible for this, all he has to do to bring this together is target them, a common enemy, they are killing over 70,000ern ms per year, he mentioned that, he says people need clinics and mental health. no, they need to stop being
