down $1.50 from their peak. food inflation is coming down, not fast enough, but coming down. inflation has fallen every month for the last six months while take-home pay is going up. >> dana: the president getting knocked for all of those claims. biden also got a real-time fact-check over this attack. >> so slow my republican friends want to take the economy hos hostage. republicans want medicare and social security to sunset. i'm not saying it's a majority. let me give you -- anybody who doubts it, contact my office. i am politely not naming them but it's being proposed by some of them. look. folks. the idea is that we're not going going to be moved into being thrown to default on a debt if we don't respond. >> dana: biden drawing some laughs for the wrong reason when

talking about getting tough with oil companies. >> i said we are going to need oil for at least another decade. and beyond that. we are going to need it. >> dana: despite getting called out on the falsehoods, some democrats and the media giving the president's speech very glowing review. >> i think this was the best speech i've ever heard him deliver. >> it was fun and he seemed to be getting a lot of fun out of people heckling him and the feedback that he was getting. >> you actually felt like the union is strong. >> it was delivered with a lot of energy and a lot of peace. >> he was little rowdy, right? he was a little fun. >> it felt like the british parliament. >> didn't you think he was sort of mr. smooth? >> we were all thrilled last night. wasn't the president just great? >> what i loved about the speech, it was true joe biden. >> it was so masterful. >> dana: i need a hype squad

like that. jesse, what did you think? >> jesse: it sounded like an altar sb 25 speech. he plagiarized the entire trump platform. the core message was that we have shipped all these jobs in factories overseas and i'm going to be the one bringing them back. he doesn't say anything that he was vice president sending the jobs over there. then he says i'm going to get tough with big tech and big pharma and we're going to crack down on fentanyl pouring over the border. okay. okay. we have been saying that for a long time, joe. then he says we're going to get tough on china. this is a blue-collar boom. this is literally exactly what trump said during his state of the union and then even used the forgotten man analogy. a lot of you feel forgotten, these hollowed out old construction sites in these poor

towns. come on. the best part was when he went full populist and said he was going to get rid of these junk fees, these fees for places that aren't a resort or airlines that treat your children like baggage. and then he was going to lock up people that stole covid money. go over to chicago because they took the money and gave each other bonuses. i'm not really upset with how people were screaming and yelling. i'm not a big decorum guy, especially after the fact the last president, they spied on his campaign, framed him to be a trader and then leaked his ta taxes. it wasn't well delivered. he's a terrible speaker but i did feel the unifying message. america is a great place, optimistic. i just don't know if joe is the guy to deliver on all those messages that he plagiarized. >> dana: this is the call they wanted me to play.

>> we had a spirited debate last night with my republican fri friends. my republican friends. they seem shocked when i raise the plans of some of their members and their caucus to cut social security. marjorie taylor greene and others stood up and said "liar, liar." reminds me of liar, liar, house on fire. >> dana: yeah. >> greg: to comment on that media montage, being a pet owner, they are like a pet owner whose dog finally is potty trained outside. look what he did. he such a good little boy. the expectations are so low for joe, if you can just make it to the podium without falling over or shaking hands with an invisible goblin, that's a huge success. you can tell they were so happy

and so relieved. i don't think it's unreasonable at all to heckle someone who smears you and this might've been a really decent intervention for joe because all he does is smear people. he smeared gun owners, border agents, trump voters, the police. somebody has to call him out. if you're in a place where somebody is actually saying, imagine a republican president saying "you democrats want to kill children with a dangerous vaccine." that's almost on the same extreme of saying that we want to take money from the elderly and let them die alone in poverty. that's what he is saying. it's like, of course you had to stand up because it's about you. i think that because the speeches are so fake, so artificial, the one real thing is heckling. it's an injection of reality. it's people at home going "oh,

about president trump. it was like red from the beginning but there's a couple points that i want to make. number one, when he criticized the republicans and he started by saying many and then he stopped himself and he said some republicans want to stop social security and medicare. and they booed him. i've got to tell you something. i am so sick and tired of hearing the democrats say it. karine jean-pierre say it, the president saying it. one republican senator apparently set it and now they're going to broadbrush everyone. at that point, i don't blame them. they had to take the position. i don't like that it wasn't as proper as it might have been but at that point, there's so many people watching this speech, they needed to hear that they are not in favor of this and stop gaslighting us. stop lying. the other thing that really made me crazy was when biden started

talking about ty tyre nichols ad how sad and terrible it was but he immediately went into racism and the talk that you have to have if you have a brown or black child. he intertwined the two, the death of tyre by five black police officers and then he goes to racism. when he started talking about big oil and he says, how dare big oil will make these profits and use the record profit to buy back their own stock, rewarding the ceos and shareholders, we are either a capitalist country or we are not and for him to say they shouldn't be doing that is outrageous and he forgets that he came into office saying i'm going to shut down the fossil fuel industry. i'm canceling the pipeline. i'm not going to sign new drilling leases and then he says how dare you end by the way, i checked the prepared speech with

the actual speech. he apparently, unless i'm wrong, he didn't plan on saying we need another decade, at least ten more years of gas and oil and beyond. that he just ad-libbed himself which was a good thing. there are places where if you want to talk bipartisanship, hey, let's talk about it. we are not cutting social security or medicare and you don't want to either. we need big oil and apparently you say you wanted for another ten years and finally, fentanyl. how dare you say that your response to fentanyl is to use more drug detection machines. you want to join with the congress? you talk about china and you talk about the border when you talk about fentanyl. that's how you bring america together. >> dana: harold, to the democrats feel pretty good today customer what are you hearing from all of your sources? >> harold: it's good to be back. it's good to be around the ta table.

just reacting. democrats feel good about it and if you look at the polling majority of the country feels good about it which leads to this point. the everyday rhetoric of this president, if you look at every president the last four or five with the exception of president trump and this is a complement to president trump, their everyday rhetoric was a oftentimes more pugnacious from the standpoint that the media would oftentimes slice and dice what they wanted them to say. president trump would walk out of the white house and give the press conference himself and he was upbeat and positive. he was always upbeat and positive. this is the time everybody in the country gets to see the president. he's cordial, he's always consolatory, he projects unity and projects that we have to find ways to work together. no president ever comes before the country and says that the union is in disarray. i'm angry. i'm mad. i'm going to continue to be that way. no, they come across the way the

president came across last night. they get a little partisan but it's not totally that way. the appropriation of some of this language. make america great again with president reagan, let's make america great again and forgotten man is fdr. it's a physician. it's a tradition. ensuring that at the core of the american expenses to ensure that the least and last regard the survey has an opportunity to be pushed up so i was pleased to hear the president say that. i shared last night when i was looking for most my shared it on the show when i find your answer last night, jesse, they should be consequences. i thought the president would have taken the point, a moment last night to lay out the biden doctrine on china. for a whole variety of reasons. the balloon is what really provoked it but i thought we missed an opportunity there and i'm not one that likes to pick great american companies, oil companies and big pharma, we wouldn't be where we are, what everything about vaccinations, wouldn't be where we are without big pharma and the speed that

off his lips. but at the same time he's not protecting the border by the way, one of the things we said about the border is that apparently since we launched our new border plan, unlawful migration from cuba, haiti, nicaragua has come down 97%. they said no, that's not the true number. he's just making these numbers up to sound like he's tough on the border. in the end, what he's got to do is do something effective. he's talking the talk. he doesn't walk the walk. >> jesse: it's a defensive position to say we're going to have higher drug sniffing dogs and do detention. you got to go into china and deep into mexico to stop it. >> dana: one of the things that has been a knock on president biden even at the beginning, the question pollsters ask, do you believe the president cares about issues that you cl care about. the answer is always no. there has never been a majority

of people that said yes, he cares about the issues i care about. the other pools, what do you ask is the number one issue and you list them. inflation, the economy, crime and the border. it comes up and so i do think that's why feeling there was this disconnect last night. you could be at the white house and say you got through that, got some applause, trapped the republicans and we feel great and you still haven't moved the ball in any of the issues people are saying that they really care about through the fentanyl issue is such a bipartisan one. what a moment you could have had to talk about a story. there were a couple of people there in the guest box last night, including laura didier. she was there on behalf of our congressmen. she lost her son who was 17 years old. she said she didn't know what fentanyl was when her son died. she is googling it. what does it mean? they have come a long way to get him talking about in the state of the union. there is nothing concrete i felt

like it was a lot of platitudes on that and then on china, what a missed opportunity. the entire nation is talking about the fact that with these jerks in china think it's okay to do this and you're gonna let them complete the mission and then shoot it down afterwards and then tell everybody we did a great job. i don't know if that's going to work but they are going to keep telling you that you believe it's good. >> jesse: it does look suspicious that given this big moment to just give, what was it, a sentence? not even say the word balloon. makes it look like he's hiding something. >> greg: i always look at the best intentions. maybe he just doesn't know that these things are going on until the last minute. everything about this, he's old. this is the problem of having an old president. the fentanyl thing has been around for three years, maybe even longer. we have known about china. trump has been talking about china forever. if you look at crime. ever since the george floyd

stuff, we were talking about how bad it was. it takes forever for this stuff to reach him and then what are his solutions? they are all old solutions. spend more money. more drug sniffing dogs. you have to understand that fentanyl is tiny. it's not just about the border. you can have the tightest border and that stuff is still coming through. >> jesse: can dogs even smell fentanyl? is it effective? >> greg: there are these lies of omission. he has no plan for fentanyl. he has no plan for the border, no plan for crime so that's why he has to keep it down low. but then he talked about and this is the bigger lie about the declining inflation, gas prices dropping, job numbers increasing. all of these variables are improving from the damage during his two years. that's a deception. it's like a guy stealing your car and then the next day throwing you a hubcap.

people talk about woke it's really kind of code for disagreement. what i don't like about it in a political space is that it's going to be involved now into the wanting to retaliate, some of the retribution. i wished the language would've been a little more positive around that but i thought she accomplished a lot. the person i thought they give the best was tim scott. he told his life story in a positive way. we are still dealing with some of the racial consternation after george floyd but his speech was similar to this in that regard. the governor, she made clear. she is 40. president biden is 80. it took president biden forever to get off the floor last night. an 80-year-old with that kind of energy which she gave one heck of a speech in any one of the republican party certainly is going to pay attention. people are serious about this next race. >> judge jeanine: one of the things she talked about was the fact that were under attack in the left-wing cultural we didn't start and never wanted to fight. every day we are told we have to
