spectacularly. now, he cares about record overdoses? welcome to fantasy island, the biden's edition. >> fentanyls is killing more than 70,000 americans a year. >> let's launch a major surge to stop fentanyl production in the sales and trafficking with more drug detection machines and stop pills and powder at the border. >> um, nice try but of course as we mentioned last night on "the angle", most of the drugs enter egg through the united states don't come through ports of entry but nice dry.>> to imply g at the ports of entry is a lie. between the ports of entry, you said a minute ago, 1.2 million got away. >> do you think they care about the 70,000 americans dead from fentanyl? really?
7:04 pm
>> no, they don't. if they did, they would secure the border. >> the man at wall street helped get elected trying to convince all of us, come on, forget main street. he's their guy. >> for too many decades, we exported jobs and creating american jobs. we'll make sure supply chain for america begins in america. [ applause ] >> he's a regular donald trump. he sounds like -f made in america. biden should have slip an maga hat on at that moment, it would have been perfect. the u.s. trade gap for china hit the second highest mark on record. $390 billion. china made hunter rich and now biden is making china rich. heck of a job, joey. all of his made in america lingo

is poll-tested. his people know that's what americans do prefer. american jobs and american made and an american focused first. but, when push comes to shove, biden is going to give in when europe demands that he makes changes and it is always against our interests. >> there is tweaks that we can make that can fundamentally make it easier for european countries to participate and be on their own and never intended to exclude folks who are cooperating with us. we'll continue to create manufacturing jobs but not at the expense of europe. >> last night we are supposed to pretend that i guess we didn't hear that. remember this is joe's fantasy island. >> i will make no apologies that we are investing and to make america stronger. invest america's innovation and the fine of the future. this is my

view of blue collar and rebuilt merge. here at home, in flflati is coming down and take-home pay had gone up. >> people going to the grocery stores know that biden's act is falling apart. if something as intelligence as sports, joe would be a gold medallist. americans struggling to afford even the basics. why? because their warjs are not keeping up with inflation. we are in a nose-dive and biden refuses to pull out the control and he plays make believe. hold on a minute. at least he's bringing america together? last night president biden achieved what kevin mccarthy could never do. >> uniting everybody in the room. >> it sets the tone for biden
7:07 pm
that he can work with the other side. >> he catered to one of the most divisive and anti-american group out there while he pretended to care about law enforcement. >> most of us in here have never had to have the talk. the talk, the brown and black parents have had to have with children. i know most cops are good and honest people of the vast majority. >> what happens to tyre happens too often. we have to do better. >> over the case of tyre nichols who died at the hands of black officers? it does not make any sense. it is meant to in flame racial tension, it is not meant to quell them. investigations and prosecution will we hope deliver justice? why didn't biden's new found working class

discuss the actuality of policing today. retention and recruitment down. law enforcement is more dangerous and criminals more brazen. not to speak of the growing danger to the officers who stick it out because they love their jobs. officers like peter jerven, a 37-year-old who was shot to death in milwaukee. >> investigators say the 37-year-old and his police partner tried to stop the robbery suspect terrell thompson, the suspect fired at the officer jervon. thompson did not survive. the 37-year-old officer later died at the hospital. >> heartbreaking. now, this took place about 90 minutes drive from where biden spoke today. it was union buddy at wisconsin. no mention from biden. maybe because the man who killed officer jervon had just been in
7:09 pm
court on monday for sentencing stemming from two hit-and-run cases. the judge sentenced thompson to four months in-house corrections but then he stayed or postponed that sentence for a year of probation instead. also, this week the officer shawn was shot and killed. over the weekend. the 26-year-old was shot ahead during a robbery. he died yesterday. a few hours ago in philadelphia, an officer was shot during a vehicle search. thankfully, he survived. but he's now in critical condition. this is the world that biden supporters and biden himself help create. one where criminals have the run of the streets and police are demonized. one where

good hardworking people had erase their retirement account to pay the bills. one where american citizens are not being heard and an illegal aliens are being catered to. this is madness. it is not a fantasy. it is an american tragedy. it is time to turn the page. that's the angle. joining me now is richard davis hanson and ned ryan. what do you make of this biden's attempt to pivot this populist flourish. almost towards bending towards america's first populism when we know he's global at heart. >> again, lie is a lie and he's got 50-year of being a liar. it
7:11 pm
is stupid meaning and hopes that nobody is really paying attention and suspend your disbelieve and don't believer your lying eyes and listen to what i had to say when in fact all of his actions pointed to the opposite. i think he's trying to obviously stealing america's first populism as they go into the 2024 presidential. everyday the american people are sold out on trade and foreign policy and immigration. it is one of those things where he talked about some of the public state of the -- safety. you think of the public safety and trust of the american people at large being sold out everyday. at one point he talked about accountability for police, at some point you would think there is accountability for our leaders in d.c. who everyday are violating the trust of the american people. i hope the

american people will wake up and realize i am not going to listen to your lies anymore. the reality is far different and it is time we turn this thing around. >> well, the public is literally tuning him down. it was down 29% so people are saying no thanks, don't want to listen. biden spoke with pbs' jodi woodruff continuing to play the united role. >> most americans are of the view that it is gotten to mean, too personal, too divisive, and i think one of the things the message they sent this last election was come on, work together, get something done for us. >> victory, he seems like he was sleeping right there. i think it was a travel day which was tough for biden. is anyone really buying this? >> no. so spoke the man that
7:13 pm
called half the country semi-fascious. >> we saw hillary clinton remember when he was drinking boiler-maker, we always get hit with the old joe from scranton of the populist candidate. he gave the same talk 15 years ago. he came to california, he said he was going to open a new plant and it was going to give americans jobs and it was a $500 mil $500 million giveaway for capitalist. real popularism is protection of the border and the aerospace. it is the
7:14 pm
constitution, 1776, not 1619. populism wants to create things and build statutes of reverence and strong divisions. so, it is sort of a capitalism and that's as far as they can go with this pseudo popularism. basically, they don't like the middle class and they never have. i don't think they like the foundation of america. >> all right, let's get ned in here. there was another telling moment from that pbs interview. watch this. >> one of the things republicans say is a priority for them is investigating your family, your son hunter. >> nobody is going to pay attention to that. they want these guys to do something. only
7:15 pm
things they can do is make up things about my family. it is not going to go very far. >> there he goes playing the victim again. >> there is a lot that the house republicans can look into. again, they're not going to be able to patch him up much nor legislation and policy. the other side they can provide by looking into hunter biden and his very dubious business dealings with china and ukraine and other things taken place with him. the american people deserve to know. the press, the corporate propaganda did their level best to hide from the american people. we know from a fact that fully 9% from voters and battleground states that tthey had known about hunter biden, it would have changed their votes. it is a little late for that to take place for trump. the american people still deserve to know what's going on with hunter biden and his business dealings and what about
7:16 pm
this 10% for the big guy, who is that? if it is joe biden, what has been his roles in these corrupt business dealings. >> maybe that's why the balloon just flown on by. >> victor and ned, good to see both of you. >> that same pbs interview, he still danced around the issue a little bit. >> last night i heard people were saying, well, just watch biden, age is not an issue anymore. people just have to watch me. >> it sounds like you are running. >> i have not made that decision firmly yet. >> joining me now is newt gingrich, newt, we are watching him, that's exactly what we are doing. is this a one and done deal with biden? liberals are happy with the speech and democrats are pleased with themselves. what did you make of all this at the end of the day?
7:17 pm
>> well, i think he wants to run again and try to run again. presidents have huge amounts of money to spend. they have the entire cabinet to go to work for them. i would not automatically assume he could not get the nomination. i mean jimmy carter beat teddy kennedy. incumbent president have power. the more the country sees the gap and i love your fantasy island example. people are sitting at home loosing their lives going he's not describing the america i live in. so clearly he's dishonest about the border and china and the deficits. i think that the latest cbs polls show his base is about 24%. that 24% is tough. at that point you have a hard time putting together a nomination and part of the question will be does anybody in
7:18 pm
the democratic party have the courage to run? i think if one of the governor runs, biden will almost immediately be in trouble. >> and i think the democrats kind of know they're stuck with biden, newt, i said last night i am going to stick with it. here is the alternative. >> i am a water policy geek. i think it is so important. we can geek out right here, the three of us, right? we agree that it is essential component to life. and, we also agree it is precious. >> oh my god, newt. i mean, god bless her. is she going to make it on the ticket in 2024 >> water policy? >> i don't think so. first of all, the average americans is going to know that if biden runs at 82 to serve into 86, the potential for the vice president to replace him is
7:19 pm
very real. at that point, you will have to say kamala harris, i thought watching governor huckabee sanders last night, i thought she did such a great job. i would love to see a debate between governor sanders and vice president harris. harris strikes me more and more like a fifth grader. if you watch her just now, oh, water is really important, giggle, giggle. when you talk to her about, space is really important, giggle, giggle. >> let's geek out on it, newt? >> this is like "saturday night live" except she's the real vice president. >> what about pritzker and we got newsom and gretchen whitmer, there is a whole hand of talents out there. >> you will see on the republican side, where my guesses will be eight or 10 candidates. at some point somebody on the democratic side
7:20 pm
is going to start running. obviously, the governor of california with the largest state with the enormous fundraising capability by definition formidable. i think the governor of michigan, whitmer, she's formidable. there are a number of people, murphy and new jersey is a self-funder. if he wans to run, he can afford the buy the entire campaign. sort of the bloomberg tradition. the truth is all of the problems that you have talked about tonight and i thought this show so far has been tremendous. they're all real and getting worse. the border is getting worse and the fentanyl crisis is getting worse. crimes the street is getting worse. the economy is a disaster. people forget, all of these unemployment numbers are misleading. we only have 62%. >> people actually working. >> and even the french have a
7:21 pm
74% of participation. >> oh no. when the french are beating us, we are in real trouble. newt, it is great to see you. back on the show, it is been too long. >> fireworks on capitol hill, the house oversight committee held the first hearing of what twitter was up to. congressman jim jordan who was part of today's hearing, they are here next with updates. it naturally begins to change, causing a lack of sharpness, or even trouble with recall. thankfully, the breakthrough in prevagen helps your brain and actually improves memory. the secret is an ingredient originally discovered... in jellyfish. in clinical trials, prevagen has been shown to improve short-term memory. prevagen. at stores everywhere without a prescription.
7:26 pm
for the first time since the release of those explosive files, over the hunter biden's laptop story. when you listen to this, the con condescencion from one of the worse defenders. >> it was not my personal judgment at the time it did. >> i think you guys wanted to take it down and you guys got played by the fbi. you got the government saying your term of service don't have to comply please take him down. you see a problem
7:27 pm
there mr. roth? >> i am seeing a red light, i am happy to answer the question. do i think that's a valuable use of the fbi's time? no. but, i don't see a request for review a problem under the first amendment. >> was he the obamacare pajama boy kind of celebrate at birth. >> there was another strange occurrence. >> on june 3rd, 2018, the ira iranian - sounds like it is a brand new deal to me. >> the electrical issue. democrats were running an interference of their own. >> counsel mueller concluded of the trump campaign in
7:28 pm
2016 of welcoming the russians. all of you sitting here today are highly -- >> silly does no begin to capture in obsession. joining us now is jim jordan and randy devine, fox news contributor, author of "laptop from hell," congressman, did you hear anything from any of the witnesses today that surprised you? >> no, not really. we know it was not hacked and the story was not fake. it didn't violate their policies but yet they blocked it. the reason they blocked it because the fbi and the government had primed and prepped them, oh, expect as hack and leak operation coming, expect that. we think it is coming. they set them all up with weekly meetings and e-mails
7:29 pm
and communications on the super secret teleporter app they used. and when there was a story, they tried to take it down. what professor tully said, you have censorship by circuit. they didn't have to explicitly say anything, they had a receptive audience and 99% of them are democrats. they all don't like trump. they prepped him for that moment and it worked. it looks like. i don't know that we learned a whole lot new here other than this pressure coming from the government to private companies to take down accounts, simply because they don't like them. >> when they were discussing the lockout of the new york post story on hunter biden, the former chief legal officer of twitter made a comment. >> twitter informed the new york post that it could immediately tweeting when it deleted the original tweet which would have freed them to retweet the same content
7:30 pm
again. the new york post chose not to delete its original tweet. twitter made an exception to apply the new policy to the post tweets in hine hindsight. >> >> this whole methodology that somehow this was a 24-hour censorship, this was more than two weeks that the new york post account was locked. when she says the post was free to tweet again. now, it was not. not unless we deleted a tweet that promoted a true and accurate story. of course we refused to do that. they wanted us to self-censored so they were not showing up as the authoritarian sensor as they were.
7:31 pm
>> congressman, aoc had an analysis of today's hearing. >> they dragged a social media platform here in congress and weaponize the use of this committee so they can do it again. a whole hearing about 24-hour hiccup in the right wing political operation. that's why we are here right now. >> congressman, that'll be them reframing playing the populist role and a lot of things going on out there and people need help and y'all are focused on hunter biden. that's the narrative they're trying to set. >> we are focused on the first amendment, the right to free speech and a way that we can communicate on a platform that's the public's square. i will come back to this fundamental question, why is the fbi sending accounts to twitter and saying we think these violate your term of service as twitter. why are they doing that? this was just
7:32 pm
election issues and why is the fbi doing that? that's the fundamental question. it is truly is censorship by surrogate and attack on the first amendment and our right to speak. the rights we have under the first amendment, the most important one is your right to talk. if you can't talk and you can't share and petition your government, you don't have freedom of the press, that's the most fundamental right that we have and the right that the fbi was trying to restrict. >> and miranda, speaking of that, roth from former twitter executive, he didn't seem to be sold on the whole first amendment thing. >> again and again, we saw the speech of a small number of abusive users drive away countless others. unrestricted free speech resulted in less speech and not more. >> miranda, i am trying to unpact what he said. >> unrestricted speech leads
7:33 pm
to less speech, what? what is that? >> well, he's trying to justify twitter censoring a newspaper that had just filed a true and accurate story and the oldest newspaper in the country, the fourth largest circulation and they censored us and they did so. yoel roth is a guy that's deeply partisan and admitted that he was tweeting they were nazis in the trump's white house. the fbi was pushing on the open door and the real question waycross why did the fbi intervene in another election. in the 2020 election to protect joe biden by bearing this derogatory information that was in the new york post story. >> congressman, miranda and great to see you both tonight. thanks. while joe biden is down playing the china threat, the republican

tiktok and wei chat. everyone know tiktok is a tool of the chinese communist party. a party that only has one goal. global dominance at the expense of the united states. >> that's not all, ford partnered with the chinese company in a proposal to build an electric vehicle battery plant in virginia. governor youngkin killed it. joining me now is governor glenn youngkin, good to see you in the studio. how concerning is it right now about china? >> it starts with a clear understanding that the governor is trying to dominate the world at america's expense. i don't
7:41 pm
think the president understands that and he left the governors not to use taxpayers money to enrich chinese companies that are dominated and not them buy our farmland and not let them have unrestricted surveillance by using tiktok. >> what did you think of his [ lau laughter there? >> what was that? >> i don't think he understands what's going on. my business experience, i had the experience sitting across the table from chinese leaders. i know what they are up to. they are trying to dominant the world. the minute we do anything other than acknowledging it, we facilitate it. letting the balloon flying across the continental of the united states, it is another chapter of facilitating what they want to do. we have got to stand up. i am pleased with the fact that governors across the country have been doing this and in virginia, we are not going to let him buy our farmland and use tiktok and we are not going to let them use other companies as a trojan horse to get an economic boost
7:42 pm
that'll only enrich companies that are controlled by the chinese. >> do you have any idea how much land or business they have own? >> we have some of the most sensitive national assets in virginia. i mean notwithstanding the pentagon but we have the largest naval base in the world quantico and while our rockets are launched all the time. we can't let the chinese communist party buy land adjacent to any of these national security inflation. >> why should be buying land in virginia at all. >> well, they should not be. that is heighten concern for me in virginia. we have huge tracks of agricultural land and we are not going to let them buy it. this is just a moment to recognize that there is clear bright lines and we are not going to cross them. governors across the country are standing up and saying why in the world
7:43 pm
are we facilitating this clear destination for china where they want to dominate the work at america's expense. >> another issue you led on is education which is so important for us parents. the virginia board of education, i know there was a race there and one of your appointees was kicked off the board one week after fighting with another member whether public school should present socialism as in compatible with democracy. governor, what the heck does it tell you? >> parma is a parent and that's why i put her on our state board of education. we are stating the fact that she has a master degree and she's an indian immigrant, but most importantly she's a parent. the progr

the ap called claims like those baseless. if you listen to what the administration was warning just months earlier, you can understand why we came to that conclusion. now, here was a state department's spokesperson, ned prize, on january 26th, 2022. >> i want to be very clear. if russia invades ukraine one way or another, nord stream two would not go forward. >> i want to be clear with you today. if russia invades ukraine, one way or another nord stream two will not move forward. >> how can you say that for sure and where is your conference? >> i am not going to get into the specifics but we'll work with germany to ensure that the pipeline does not

move forward. >> well, now we are learning that we may be right. u.s. navy divers laid bombs that destroyed under the exercise. michael, now this is from a single source, we'll see where this all leads but with the available evidence that we do have, i mean, seems pretty logical to me. your thoughts? >> well, sure, and as you pointed out, laura, it is good to be with you. author of this piece is pretty much a legend in journalism, he may be one of the most famous journalist, he broke the massacre in vietnam in 1968 and the scandal in iraq. and he's won every major prize in journalism.
7:52 pm
he was faulted for some of his reporting out of syria a few years back. if you look at his long stretch career, he's extremely impressive person and the article he wrote is full of a lot of interesting details that are pretty convincing. he sort of argues that it took place the planting of these explosives were under a nato exercise and they were detonated later. you have other things going on, we know the cia warned the germans of an explosion could take place. we know the united states had a greater interest in this than the russians. the russians were able to control the pipeline gas if they wanted to start off europe. there was no sense if they want to blow up their own pipelines. you saw secretary state blinken said nobody had interest in blowing up and a few days later, he said it was a great opportunity fort lupton europe to move to renewables. the evidence is pointing in a particular direction and only grown stronger. >> how big of a scandal is
7:53 pm
this? if this ends up true, i mean how big is this? >> i mean this potentially is a huge deal. i mean in his article could be viewed as an act of war. that's a serious thing to say when you got two nuclear armed countries facing each other. very a big deal and it is hard for this kind of thing not to leak and it may have done that. that's something that herst said it was a great concern. >> pat ryder told fox news that herst's story is complete nonsense. >> i think the administration is gratified to know that nord stream two is now as you like to say is
