tv   Hannity  FOX News  February 17, 2023 11:00pm-12:00am PST

11:00 pm
and but we're proud to air it, so to read. >> thank you very much. thank you. >> thank you for having me, tucker. a lot of pressure, not to say that stuff, but so what? you can stream the death of comedy right now on fox station, have the best weekend at the ones you love. we will see you on monday. refreshed and ready, seether. well, welcome to this special edition of "hannity". i'm jason chaffetz. in for sean. and tonight, it's a bird. it's a plane. >> it's a fifty dollar amateur research balloon from an illinois hobby club. well, the biden administration still has no idea what to shut down last week over alaska and canada. and lake huron. and you know what? they might never know. watch this. >> an illinois hobby club feels like their balloon might have
11:01 pm
been a candidate for the balloon. i have to go support any response to that because it's very particular location, the last set of data that they got. >> yeah, we just can't confirm those reports or, uh, what, uh, what remains of that balloon might actually end up being. and then we haven't recovered it. so it's very difficult to you can get your hands on something to be able to tell. and because of where it is , overlake on . >> i mean, we all have to accept the possibility that we may not be able to recover, apparently shoot first and ask questions later. is the new modus operandi from the white house after getting humiliated by a chinese spy balloon two weeks ago? sadly, this kind of flat footed response, it isn't limited to the sky so far . there has been no real effort to curtail the chinese based ticktock as chinese hackers pose a growing threat
11:02 pm
to americans. >> meanwhile, in east palestine, ohio, the administrator is slow walking fema assistance and pothole. >> well, he's nowhere to be found. joining us now with reaction, host of the monica crowley podcast, monica crowley. along with fox news contributor tammy bruce. tammy, let me go to you first, because i got to tell you, this is not a good look for an administration. i know they they have a new chief of staff, but i'm telling you, the week could not have been worse for the biden administration. well, and partly that's because they were exposed. >> right. the chinese balloon itself. we now cbs is reporting that we saw it launch from china and we were watching it the entire way until it turned left when it went over guam and came to alaska. so i don't know what's worse is that we knew and we did nothing and allowed it to reverse or we didn't know. but the bottom line is , is that it seems clear that we did know and that they didn't
11:03 pm
expect us to find out if it wasn't for an intrepid billings gazette photographer who happened to look up and said, is that a bus or is it superman? right. i mean, what is above the in the sky? they took a picture. it gets in the billings is that and it blows up what the biden administration had planned, which is to say nothing. and in this, i think it's also not an expected because when we say shoot first and ask questions later, it immediately reminded me suddenly them being trigger happy with shooting things out of the sky without knowing what they were, reminded me horribly of a very deadly example of that in afghanistan. during the withdrawal when we killed 10 civilians, including seven children, and we were told it was to stop another attack on the airport and it was it was an aid worker who was working with us aid us aid agency and his family. so this what the biden administration has been doing from the beginning, ranging
11:04 pm
from that, as you've noted, the horrible response when it comes to the palestine train wreck. but it really is a chemical spill. the lack of reaction to that. this is from identity politics. frankly, it's a narrative that matters before governing. the american people don't matter at all. this is about manu, working people as chess pieces and people die as a result. and our national security clearly is at great risk. >> in the meantime, i mean, monica, they could not have come up with a more convoluted story. well, we can't shoot it over to the land than they do, should it? over land then? they say they don't know what the balloon is , but they do know the balloon is passed over alaska. it didn't pass over alaska. we may never, never recover it. they bring the senators in the house, members in for a classified briefing, and every one of them walked out of there and said, we have more questions now than ever before. yeah. you know, when and i think most
11:05 pm
people understand this. if anybody has ever lied, when you lie, you've got to keep your story straight and becomes increasingly difficult to keep a lie straight. because you forget who you've told and what stories that you've told this administration lies nonstop. so it's not a surprise that they are lying about critical national security issues, including involving us chinese aerial surveillance craft, which is what it is . we can call it a cute name spy balloon. but this was a keep l.a. aerial surveillance tool. they are gathering information . they are gathering intelligence all the time about the united states sensitive military and nuclear sites. how we react, they're constantly probing this administration to what end. and i think that's a really dangerous, terrifying question here is that the ccp appears ready to move, whether it's on taiwan, whether it's on america's interests, around the world, whether it's on our homeland, we don't know.
11:06 pm
but what we do know is that they are calculating that they have a limited window of opportunity while we have a thoroughly compromised american president who is definitely compromised by the ccp but is also weak and is turning america into a lame player on the global scene. and so their intent is for global domination. and we've got a president who is completely ill prepared and unwilling to act to defend the homeland and america's interests around the world. >> that's how dangerous this is . well, well, i mean, you're talking about the compromise. i mean, one of the obvious questions that was thrown out me to the president . >> listen to how he answers. well, listen to this clip. i don't want to get your reaction to it. thank you very much. >> your relaxium answer. the question is , has anyone ever been sure there's been criticism.
11:07 pm
there's been criticism that there's been criticism of this trade with china. compromised by your family's business? >> sir, mr. president , mr. president , there is going to be criticism. did you overreact? mr. president ? there has been criticism that this was an overreaction that was done because of political pressure used to turn myself. >> and that's a question. we have more polite people. i mean, there's the president getting the question, are you compromised? and he's. >> oh, come on , man. that's the answer. yeah. this is this is what happens when you've gotten away with so much because you've been governing from a basement and when you have no real care about the actual impact and normally the media protects them and they still tend to protect him. you know, even the news coverage of what is happening and what is happening in palestine is really quite muted. because it's you got people to judge. he makes his rounds and he's not really challenged when he calls it a train derailment. well, it was. but again, it's a chemical disaster and that's affecting people's lives.
11:08 pm
so this is , again, an element of what we've seen over and over and over again with joe biden. it's not an accident. they're not having a bad day. and when you've got reporters saying, are you compromised, what's going on here? they and and they conveniently and this is what americans don't like this shooting these things down over water. the lake huron balloon or object, we believe was the one they saw in montana the night before. and then they just wait until they can shoot down. and it took two shots. so there was a sidewinder missile that went astray because we missed an object, as far as we know, that was not shooting back there. so many questions that we have to ask here, and i trust that the republicans in the house are going to do so. a million dollars, half a million dollars for each missile, a jet. maybe it's the school project we shot down. but my goodness, isn't this a guy buying a corvette because
11:09 pm
he's trying to make up for something he doesn't have? >> yeah, and monica, the idea that the white house would not authorize a fema declaration asked for by the governor of one of the worst chemical and spills, we still don't know the full, full extent of it. fema is there is the federal emergency management agency. that is not a good look to turn down the request of a state. i mean, it's just a couple miles from pennsylvania. it's over there in eastern ohio. but that is a really bad look. and it's helpful to the people who have all kinds questions about their health. >> well, this is what you get when you get america last. we had america first under president trump and under president biden. we've got america lost. and that means americans lost. i mean, at the same time that we have this e.coli logical catastrophe in the heartland of america where our fellow americans are really suffering
11:10 pm
in terms of air quality, water quality. they can't live their lives. they can't take a shower. they can't drink from the tap. while we have this ecological disaster going on , this leadership is actually requesting more money for ukraine. so this tells you exactly how much this white house, this administration, the regime, how much they hate the american people who do not vote for them, who do not support their agenda, they show it in their actions constantly and to deny a state of ohio an emergency declaration of catus or fauci so that federal funds, which timmy and i and you don't mind paying for our fellow americans when they're facing this kind of disaster. but to deny the state of ohio, which is a red state and it backs up to biden's home state, scranton, pennsylvania, to deny them these funds and this kind of federal government support is absolutely outrageous. but it should surprise nobody at this. and in the meantime, we're
11:11 pm
paying for grief counselors, for federal workers, for the bureau of land management, who have emotional upset over the destruction of the ecology and of nature. so we're willing to pay for that, but we're not willing to pay to help the people of palestine or americans, whatever their political party who are struck by now by a manmade disaster here. >> yeah, you go to fauci where whereas if you go to fema. but where is al gore? where's al gore? where's gret? where is michael moore? all of these people that were constantly screaming about the environment, climate protecting people, especially michael moore in the heartland. where are these people? they're dead silent. listen. attuned to the political narrative. >> well, and this is the problem. the first 48 hours of this disaster are the most imperative. >> and we pay billions of dollars as the american people to be right there and have that expertise so they can support the states, the little
11:12 pm
communities like a like an east palestine, and they're not there. >> it is two weeks since it just happened. now, they're going to put in a few people and some some dollars. but it's coming way too late. monica and tammy, thank you so much for joining us tonight. we got to turn the page now. we're going to turn to the crisis at the southern border because after two years with no hearings, which in my opinion is malpractise not a single hearing on the southern border. house republicans will soon be headed south for a special hearing in arizona. unfortunately, jerry nadler and his democratic colleagues, they're boycotting the trip, saying the three week advance notice was not enough time to organize their travel. of course, border czar kamala harris, well, she isn't going to be there either. she's just too busy dealing with the fallout from the chinese spy balloon. >> have a look at this. let's be clear. >> first of all, as it relates to the chinese balloon, we shot
11:13 pm
it down because it needed to be shot down because we were confident that it was used by china to to spy on the american people. >> why not shoot the chinese balloon down before it crossed into the u.s. and then all across the country? we wanted to do it in a way that would ensure that there was no harm to the american people. >> well, of course, you shot it down over alaska and over the water by alaska. >> but look, fear not. the vice president went on to reassure americans that our relationship with china is just fine, even though the balloon incident wasn't helpful. >> have a look. president , of course, has reached out to china saying he expects to talk to president xi. they have said today that it was accidental, that we're overreacting, that there can't be this kind of dialog given our reaction or there shouldn't be this kind of dialog.
11:14 pm
>> we will maintain the perspective that we have in terms of what should be the relationship between china and the united states that is not going to change. but surely and certainly that balloon was not helpful, which is why we shot it down. of course, kamala harris. well, she wrapped up the interview with a classic word zealot about joe biden's tamez leadership to the bewilderment of andrea mitchell. >> have you look when you present the suggestion that anyone is saying that, that it is time for a new generation and they're running against the person who is president and when presented as though it's an attack, i would like to let let us all be clear that the attack is misplaced. if the point of it is that we need leadership that is strong because we have a strong leader
11:15 pm
in joe biden. >> thank you very much, madam. vice. >> thank you. all right. joining us now for reaction, fox news contributor leo terrell and deputy editor editor of red state, kyra davis. >> thank you both for joining us . leo, leo, i should say sorry. i got to tell you, it doesn't it's still a lot of confidence . >> any time kamala harris comes to the mic and starts explaining us policy, i'll tell you, she gave me a headache because honestly, she's captain obvious. she doesn't give any insight. she doesn't tell the american public anything of informed and informative nature. she has nothing to bring to the table and i think it's embarrassing that we avoid not this station, not this network, but we avoid the obvious. she was selected for the reason she was selected because of her gender and her skin. color, and that was the only reason she's not qualified. and she has a difficult time
11:16 pm
trying to articulate on issues that she doesn't have any knowledge on . and what's happening is you saw andrea mitchell. andrea mitchell has an obligation to challenge her, but they won't because they're sure she's shielded by her skin color and her her her gender , which when she said, for example, the balloon wasn't helpful. i mean, the blue have feelings. what do you do? what did she mean by that? she articulate something of a leech, of a lease of a college nature. it sounds so rudimentary as to what she's articulate. i don't even know what she means. we shot at the if you articulate that blue crab shot down before you reach continental america, but she insults the intelligence of the american people. and i'm sick and tired of her being basically shielded because of her gender . identity. that's why you don't pick people on gender identity. you pick people based on qualifications, care. what do you think of that? because, i mean, at one point
11:17 pm
the vice president said, let us be clear , we shot down the balloon because it needed to be shot down. well, that's not an explanation of why we shot it down, that just restating what happened. we shot it down because we needed to shoot it down. but but the question is why? right. oh, thank you so much, vice president harris. that is certainly a lot more clear. and let me be clear, every time you hear kamala harris say, let me be clear, it means she's going to be the exact opposite . but isn't the way she sounds, isn't that very symbolic? of this entire administration? it feels like the entire country is in chaos right now. it feels like everything is falling apart. i believe that part of this disaster of the spy, the part of the story is that our government is not coordinated. our government is not communicating with each other through different departments. i think there is a huge chasm between the white house and every other major department in this country. we have people making decisions
11:18 pm
and they're not consulting other departments. they're not consulting the white house. they're certainly not consulting kamala harris. i mean, the way she talks is really just symbolic of the utter state of confusion that the white house is in. right. and our american government is in right now. and , you know, and the sad thing is , is her boss is even worse. leo, look, kamala harris, among the many duties of the vice president , so demanding that job, is she supposed to be our border czar? she keeps telling us that climate change is driving people from all over the place. >> and and this is why millions of people are traveling north. of course, she doesn't spend any time with the border patrol, but it is just malpractise that the democrats didn't hold a single hearing about this crisis on the southern border for two years. and then jim jordan gives them a three week notice and says, all right, we're going to have a field hearing on the ground by the border. and the democrats boycotted
11:19 pm
what in the world are we supposed to think about how much the democrats care about illegal immigration, immigration and all the problems that surround they don't care. fentanyl. i mean, all of these things are tied together, and yet the democrats don't even participate in the in a congressional hearing where both sides can ask questions. >> well, well, let's be very clear . there's no need to mislead the viewers. they want open borders, jason . they want open border. you've said it. she has done absolutely nothing to secure the border. why? first question, law school, because they have no intention of securing the border. we had a president before them who secure the border. they want open border. they want the traffic, the drug trafficking, the trafficking to go back to go through our southern border. kamala has no idea. oh, she's focusing on is maintaining her position. and that number two slot, i had nightmares of the idea of her being in that number two slot. you know, we have an incompetent president .
11:20 pm
but just think of kamala harris and that number two slot for the next two years. that is the most frightening thing. and it's the entire white house administration is off base. again, gender and color is the reason why she's a vice president . look at our press secretary anasta embarrassment when she was talking about nooran. it's an embarrassment. i'm sick of the democrats playing equity politics and picking people on race and color. that has to stop. and it's quite embarrassing for those who are of those of with particular characteristics who are more qualified. >> well, and i think there is a case to be made that this is it is somewhat coordinated, particularly as it relates to the southern border. you have secretary mayorkas saying the border is secure, but it's obviously not the vice president who's doing absolutely nothing except traveling to central america. >> once and then holding some phone calls. but, you know, the president at the state of the union goes out and talks about the scourge of
11:21 pm
fentanyl, but where do they think that fentanyl is created and then transport it in broad across our borders? you talk to the border patrol. it's coming through our porous southern border and they're not doing anything about it. so jim jordan does the right thing. he's holding a hearing and no democrat's going to show up by choice. that's got to be a message to the american people right here. absolutely. i mean, i was infuriated to hear the president talk like he cares at all what's happened, what's happening at the border. i live in california. this is a border state and we are dealing with the crushing consequences of of an unregulated, unmatched drug trade that it's just flowing across our border. so it was infuriating to him to steal republican talking points, but then to sit here in this border state and know that there's absolutely we're we're helpless as the american people. we are helpless right now. and it feels it's just
11:22 pm
embarrassing. but it's it's also insulting. you know, we elect these leaders to protect us . we might not always agree on politics, but our national border should be an easy point of agreement. it should be one thing we can all agree on that if we don't have borders, we don't have a nation. but again, i do believe that this is just part i agree with leo. this is part of the democrats plan. i mean, they've always been open borders, but also when they can sew chaos in our states, in our city centers, they take advantage of that chaos. obama himself pointed out that strategy right in his now famous quote, you never let a good crisis go to waste and democrats can't win on their plans. because their plans and their plans don't work. so what do they do? they have to create crisis. so that americans feel fear and then americans vote based fear. and as you know, jason , no good decisions are made out of fear. but we are living in an america
11:23 pm
that is being led by fearful politicians and politicians who also politic in the currency of fear. well, look, it was a horrific, horrific week. for biden and harris and the way they treated those people in ohio and pennsylvania and did not respond. i tell you that it could be nothing worse than that. i feel for those people. god bless you. you're dealing with a horrific tragedy. and the federal government, biden and harris, are absolutely nowhere. leon and kyra, thank you so much. all right. coming up, the biden administration continues to betray the people of east palestine, ohio. >> what happened this time? we're going to explain in more detail as this special edition of "hannity" continues before their choice. my dental health was so bad i would be in a lot of pain. i wasn't able to eat. it was very hard. >> kimberly came to clear

11:27 pm
hope for the warriors. >> doug today.
11:28 pm
>> welcome back to this special edition of "hannity". well, it's been two weeks since the disastrous train to derailment in east palestine, ohio. and despite concerns over the environmental impact from burning the hazardous materials on board, well, the biden administration abandoned the people of ohio and rejected their request for fema assistance. according to the administration, fema is apparently only available to help with , you know, tornadoes and hurricanes. oh, and of course, prioritize their wolke agenda. but now in a blatant attempt to save face, the regional fema administrator announced they will send a team to east palestine tomorrow. speaking there yesterday, biden's epa chief, michael regan, asked residents to trust the government that just abandoned them. >> you can't make this stuff up. have look, i am asking that they trust the government,
11:29 pm
and that's hard. we know that there is a lack of trust, which is why the state and the federal government have pledged to be very transparent . >> yeah, just trust the government. are you kidding me? of course. >> pothole pete, the secretary of transportation, he's nowhere to be found. but former president trump, he announced he will actually visit next week. >> here with reaction, fox news contributor sara carter. she was reporting from east palestine earlier this week. and fox news legal analyst greg jarret. sarah , let's talk to you. tell us specifically, what did you see and what are you hearing today as the follow up? i can't believe it's been two weeks and they're out there saying, well, just trust the government will be fine. >> i mean, that is absurd. yeah, it is absurd, jason . look, i met wonderful families ,residents of east palestine,
11:30 pm
ohio, that couldn't even i couldn't even imagine being in their shoes. i went out there. i saw homes that were right at ground zero. i met this wonderful lady, shelby, who was actually on sean's show this week. she took me to her home literally. the train carts were in her back yard. her son was there with us. he's 12 years old. she was saying to me, how can i even trust this soil? nobody has come to my home to do testing. nobody has come to my home to speak to me. nobody from the railroad, from the government. now, that was the same night that they were having a meeting. she said now we're supposed to trust the government. we're supposed to trust the fact that they're going to come here and do for us what we needed done two weeks ago. and i get that because i walked out to the streams with other residents and other residents named bill , who is water was from a well in his backyard. and actually the stream that was running through east
11:31 pm
palestine that he took me two off of one seventy was filled. listen to this, jason . with dead fish, there were fish dead everywhere. and it was recent. it wasn't like fish that had been there. two weeks ago. you could tell that these fish were recently they had recently died and moved downstream. frogs, other animals that were in the stream, other little little critters that lived in the stream like crawfish and snails all dead along the stream. and bill said to me, do you think i really want to take a shower in my well water with this? do you think i would allow my grandchildren or my children to bathe in this and we're supposed to trust the government when they have blatantly lied to us and now we know. but a judge didn't show up either. so i think there's a huge concern across the board, jason , that they are not being told the truth. and bigger question is they're showing up now. but what about the effects of that chemical plume? right. when it went off under that
11:32 pm
controlled burn? and that's something i mean, are they going to have medical doctors testing everyone? >> that's another issue. >> yeah. according to the associated press, one of the articles i read, greg, the ohio department of natural resources is estimating there were thirty five hundred dead fish in the streams nearby. five of the wells they tested said that they were just fine. >> but you've got to believe that if the animals are dying, do you really want to be there breathing out air, drinking that water and being in close proximity with government that's going to show up weeks after this is not there. in the first 48 hours, they may have had a couple of people there, but the department of transportation's supposed to be there and then the government makes a decision, hey, let's burn this stuff. you know, let's throw it up in the air. that'll be good. that'll make it safer. and we're supposed to trust the government. >> come on , you'd have to be a lunatic to trust the u.s. government, especially in
11:33 pm
the biden administration. as you point out, this is a horrible health, environmental and transportation disaster. and yet, pete budha , judge, the secretary of transportation ,is nowhere to be seen. instead, he dismisses it, saying, no, you this happens all the time. and besides, it's donald trump's fault. this is a guy who should be fired not just for rank incompetence, but a disgraceful level of indifference. but this kind of stupidity is what you get when you pick somebody who is not qualified and has no experience and where is joe biden in all of this? i mean, he at least traveled to the state of ohio and pretend that you care and instead, he outright rejected the pleas for disaster relief on the grounds that, oh ,well, fema only provides relief for natural disasters. >> that's not what the law says. the law that created fema says both natural disaster and man made disasters.
11:34 pm
and of course, you've got the epa on the ground saying, oh, everything is fine and dandy. you can drink your water, you can breathe the air, not just the fish that have died, thousands of them, but livestock and pets are sick and people are sick. >> and i mean, they're describing debilitating headaches, painful rashes, breathing problems, a wide variety of concerns. >> and you had six toxic chemicals that were blown up into the air in the environment and cars and lawns and rooftops are covered in soot. and we're supposed to trust the government that everything is just fine. don't trust this government. >> well, you can all you have to do is ask the people of flint, michigan, if they should trust the government with all the water and all the problems they went to . they had a water main break last week. and guess what? they're still being told
11:35 pm
to boil water before they bathe in it, before they drink and what the how this administration is dealing with this manmade environmental disaster is just horrific. sarah , greg, thank you for joining us on hannity tonight. all right. up next, we continue to follow a number of medical stories around the country. >> we'll bring the latest on senator john fetterman hospitalization. and bruce willis is a devastating diagnosis. doctor nicole saphire and dr. marc siegel join us as this special hannity continues. i'm dr. paul . i'm an optimistic physician. i do recommend balanced nature to my patients because it's almost a self-evident truth that if they eat a healthy diet that's rich in fruits and vegetables, that they're going to give their bodies the rich source of biochemistry. they need to have their best chance of being healthy. i've been in the field of

11:40 pm
clinical depression less than a year after suffering a debilitating stroke in the middle of his senate campaign. according to reports, today, he is expected to remain in the hospital, in the hospital for weeks. his struggles on the campaign were obvious. so why did his closest allies and advisers push him to stay in the race? >> here with reaction, fox news medical contributors dr. marc siegel and dr. nicole saphire. we have a couple of questions we have about different folks. but dr. siegel, let's have you take on senator fetterman because he had a stroke. >> he just listening to him speak. it was it was painfully obvious that something is wrong. >> but he's been in the hospital now twice in the last two weeks. >> you know, jason , first of all, the last hospitalization was for supposedly for dizziness and lightheadedness, but he stayed several days. and i was wondering what exactly was going on . you know, we don't always
11:41 pm
get the real story here. i like that he's being this transparent about depression because clinical depression is very common after stroke. it's at least one third of stroke patients, probably more . it's biochemical in the brain. plus the fact that a person struggles to get back to where they want to be and they can't be . so they get a lot of anxiety, depression. this is a severe depression. if it's requiring hospitalization, and studies show it's going to require different medications, a lot of therapy. i'm glad he's coming forward with this. but you already made the main point, which is the issue of fitness to serve. and we have concerns about this before. so on the one hand , we admire vitamines, courage, and his his seeking treatment and being transparent. on the other hand , we worry about the people of pennsylvania who elected him. what are they getting in terms of his senator , in terms of somebody that's that's apparently not going to be up to the job and is struggling mightily? so i have those two points to make. >> well, i hope he's all right.
11:42 pm
>> look, but he's six weeks into a six year senate run. >> and , you know, i hope he gets better. let's move on and shift gears here to somebody i think america loves in the world loves. and that is actor bruce willis. his family provided a grim update on his health, announcing that the die hard star has been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia. and dr. saphire, i can barely pronounce that. let alone understand what it means and what kind of diagnosis it is . >> so help us understand what bruce willis and his family are going through. well, jason , it's quite the disheartening diagnosis that bruce willis, his family, has, really, that he has been now diagnosed with temporal dementia. it is essentially an umbrella term for a type of dementia that affects the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain . and it's one of the more rare dementias accounting for about 10 to 20% of all dementia cases. it tends to present a little bit younger. bruce willis is still in his 60s and it is a little bit
11:43 pm
difficult to diagnose because some of the symptoms can be ambiguous. and as dr. siegel just said, referencing senator fetterman, you know, emotional and mental health are absolutely tied to physical health. so this is going to be a very challenging road for bruce willis and his family. you know, i just hope that they have some comfort knowing how much he has given us in terms of entertainment and his persona. and i hope that they can all come together as a family and just be there for each other. and we wish them all the best. >> oh, i know he's made so many people love his work and put smiles on so many so many people's faces. >> wish him to the best in everything. >> i want to shift gears real quickly here. after weeks of delays, president biden finally had his physical yesterday in the white house. physician, dr. kevin o'connor. well, he kind of laughably gave him a thumbs up saying, quote, vigorous 80 year old male who is fit to successfully execute the duties of the presidency. but has been noted a couple of
11:44 pm
times. noticeably absent from biden's health evaluation was a mental status exam as concerns over his cognitive decline grow. it seems to be obvious most any time he's in front of a camera, could you each quickly get to give me kind of a 30 second view of what we're supposed to make of this, dr. siegel? >> well, i'm concerned about the stiffened gait that he's had for a year now that they once again point that out that they said was due to sensation loss on his feet, peripheral neuropathy as well as spinal cord disease. arthritis. but they noticeably didn't talk about brain imaging because when you have a stiff engaged, it can also be due to something in the brain. no brain imaging. and as you just said, no extensive cognitive testing on someone that's frequently disoriented. it makes all kinds of cognitive we call them gaffes, but they're really cognitive errors. >> dr. saphire. >> what's your take on what we're seeing? yeah, physical mental fitness
11:45 pm
is just as important as physical fitness, and especially if someone of the age is the president , it is prudent that you do a comprehensive cognitive evaluation. we would do that for any of our patients. just because he is the president doesn't means that he gets to skip one . in fact, it is more prudent that we do. and at his age, because he has a much higher risk of cognitive decline at the he is now and he will continue to be higher risk as he continues to age. >> it's prudent that they do this in their transparence with the american people. yeah, congress should actually make this part of the law. we don't need to pick on somebody specifically, but that should be part of the law. if you're going to have your hands on the nuclear codes and you're not even able to fly an airplane, you're going to fly the country and the free world. there probably should be more in-depth analysis rather than the political spin that we got out of the doctors saying always vigorous and doing just fine. >> but i'm not the doctor you two are. but thanks for joining us on hannity. do appreciate it. >> thank you. all right. coming up, don , lemon offered

learn more and sign up as an organ and tissue donor. go to organ donor .com. welcome back to this special edition of "hannity". >> cnn's don lemon attempted to trash nikki haley yesterday and it did not go well. take look, nikki haley is in our prime. >> sorry. when a woman is considered to be in her prime in her 20s and 30s and maybe 40s, that's not, according to me, for what it depends. i mean, it's just like prime. if you look it up, it's if you look if you google, when a woman in her prime, it'll say 20s, 30s and 40s after facing severe backlash, lemon offered
11:51 pm
an apology on it. a morning editorial, call it cnn quote, i'm sorry, i don't mean to hurt anyone. i did not mean to offend anyone. what i said came out wrong, and i wish i hadn't said it. i believe a woman of any age can do anything. they set their minds to after that, quote unquote apology. >> the failed prime time host was seen relaxing on the beach today and was not present during his show this morning. but according to cnn, lemon has not been formally suspended. joining us now for reaction, princeton university lecturer lauren wright, who has a phd and former michigan gubernatorial candidate tooter dixon. thank you so much for joining us to. i'm going to start with you because i am not a woman in my 20 30s or 40s. what in the world was don lemon saying and what did he mean? and how did people take it? >> well, i think that this was
11:52 pm
a moment where husbands everywhere were going, dude, this is not your lane. get out of here. whatever it takes, pass out, run off of set. do something that you are in the wrong stop talking. even poppy harlow turns in. it gives him the look. this is the look from a woman saying bail on this. now, he doesn't get it. he's like, no, no, no. but i mean, google this. no, never go to google. don't say that. don't go to that area. don lemon, bail out of this. he made a huge mistake. but you know what? this was a good mistake for women, because now we get to have people see that when we say this happens to us, it happens. this is really happening. and the best way to teach against this is to hold him accountable for his words. this is a learning moment for men across the country. do not speak like this. and there should be some repercussions for don lemon so that people can see that this happens to women and it's not okay. it's not okay to be sexist. it's not okay to be misogynistic.
11:53 pm
my goodness. she is a fifty one year old accomplished woman. she is beyond her prime outrageous to say that. and i heard you just talking about joe biden's medical exam . talk about someone who we should be concerned about, whether or not they're capable of doing this job. she's a 51 year old woman and he says this about her. he should be ashamed. we should hold him accountable for these words and other men can learn from this. >> well, lauren , i got to tell you, i was offended is almost embarrassing to hear these comments. >> i mean, perhaps don lemon should learn. maybe you could look at saffer katz, the ceo of oracle, who's in her early 60s, self-made billionaire and one of the most powerful people in all of technology. she's somebody that can actually run. this country is highly capable and is certainly in her prime. so i don't know what in the world he was talking about, but i think it was offensive even to men as well.
11:54 pm
>> yeah, i mean, jason , i don't think the strangest part of this actually is the offensive nature of the comments. i think it is just a really embarrassed thing to say because it makes absolutely no sense. i mean, nikki haley is running for president . don was seemingly talking about her ability to procreate. i don't understand a thought process there. but and just to put a highlight on the point, this is not a conversation about whether it's okay to criticize a woman running for office or to question someone. of course it is . and of course, that applies to conservative women. but this was not a substantive critique of someone running for president . it was a bizarre and acutely sexist remark. >> yeah, i think that's right. i think it was highly sexist. i can't imagine twitter that they would ever say this about
11:55 pm
a man. and if they wouldn't say it about a man, why are they saying about a woman? it's just offensive outloud and there should be a repercussion. there should be a repercussion. and i think a lot of us had been wondering why don lemon has been able to get away with comments like this on cnn for years. and so the question is , will cnn do something about this? there are common themes here with don. and he said offensive things. he has put people down and he has terrible ratings. i mean, what is cnn thinking? i remember when don lemon came out and said, i have not been demoted by moving from prime time up to this morning show. so he goes to a morning show where he's talking to a bunch of women. >> and one of the first things he does insult all of the tutor. lauren , lauren , i owe you more time. some point, but i have a hard out. got to make it. thank you for joining us . for this hannity special. >> stay with us.
