but what i can also tell you is it was an opportunity to speak clearly and directly about the fact that china sent at surveillance balloon over our territory by letting sovereignty and international law. i told him simply thought was unacceptable and can never happen again. >> it's interesting they are in unit discomforts and the conference is to discuss the situation in ukraine and russia. i think it's an interesting thing we need to think about because are we being distracted by the situation and ukraine x should our focus, i believe our focus should be primarily on china. that's the main threat, over the skies and a lot of talk about how depleted our weapons are because they keep going over to ukraine and we need to build that up as well as the sheer amount of money.

>> what did you tell her the arrangement was. >> we got married and i said two things, number one in my life will be racing. if you work real hard, you might be number two. [laughter] >> you have a long history, your family does at daytona. >> i won the very first race. took two or three days to figure it out. >> your father gets injured pretty seriously. >> my dad got hurt in 1961 in daytona so i wanted to come back home. it was up to my brother and my wife and took care of all the money part and started having a family and she had to stay home with the family a lot in my brother didn't have sponsors yet. we had to work with all that came out of the person. >> the family from the beginning of what you think daytona. >> it was the biggest boost of my career.

we were pretty good in all the races. daytona was our super bowl. >> this has continued, it was you, kyle, adam. this was a family legacy. >> always has. everybody, all of us grew up around racing. adam grew up around it, my grandson and i think he ran one cup race, fourth-generation driver in nascar. then we lost him in a racing accident. >> adams legacy carries on here. >> the chronic series of his, come back and see, why can't we do something like that? once we lost him, we said okay, do something for adams part, we'll start this junction so

removing honors english classes in the name of racial equity. culver city high school reportedly losing the classes because there weren't enough black and latino students enrolled in the class. the next guest has two daughters to go to the high school and he says this is a disservice to the students and community. pedro -- >> thank you for joining us this morning. how did you find out this policy is coming into effect in your school? >> the parents -- >> were you notified? >> we got an e-mail saying that

the school was going to align the english curriculum with the districts equity plan, the first i've ever heard of this and looking in to the school's equity plan, right away i was troubled by it. >> what troubles you ask i know you are of cuban descent, they want to make everyone equal, what does that tell you? >> well, if you look at the clients, you would think it would to find whatever it means but not. everybody i know would agree we want to provide equal opportunity to all students and a lot of people would agree we want to provide the students based on their individual needs but the way the plan is drafted,

equity is fine in terms of the equal outcomes and at all costs getting rid of honors. >> it's such a great thing, equity and equality of opportunity are two different points. they are eliminating ap courses which means high achieving students can't take the courses anymore. an english course you want your daughters to be part of. why doesn't the school or have the teachers approached the school and say give extra tutoring to the students falling behind? >> they are limiting honors but the honors courses, one are for ap courses so it's empowering the students, they are not going to be able to perform when they do go in the ap courses and this is for many parents, why can't we provide extra support for the kids struggling?

absolutely. then keep the opportunities. >> i hope parents keep fighting, here's what the over city unified school district has to say, they say it's an issue of academic rigor and equity. transition from a two-tiered system of honors and non- honors to college prep classes for all led by our english teachers. we put trust in educators closest to our students, the teachers with them in the classroom day in and day out. obviously that tells you they are putting their trust in the teachers and not the parents. final thoughts? >> i have spoken with some teachers and they are not in agreement providing a rigorous course for the students. they are afraid to speak out, they don't want to be recommended, they have their careers to worry about so it's culture keeping teachers from speaking up.

and what time do we have to stop catering to these bullies and protect our children? the laws in place these kids are prosecuted for making, posting and sharing these videos? i know there are more adriana's at the school. i can tell you what i've learned since my daughter passed his there's adriana's all over the country. this is just a central problem, it's a country problem. >> broken dad calling for change after his 13-year-old daughter took her own life following a bullying event at school. >> fox news conjure joey jones joins us now to react. he wants laws in place to make sure the bullies don't share --

it re- victimized his daughter to see this on social media. i spoke to moms earlier and they said they think there needs to be policies some of this stuff is hard to regulate, some is what's in the kids hearts. >> not show blame but any time i hear about a bad kid, i want to hear about the pants. it is not to blame every bad kid on the past but take where all the parents in this? generally speaking they are absent and that is part of the problem. 13-year-old son, a 14-year-old niece, i've got an 11-year-old niece and i have a daughter that will eventually be in school and they are blessing, amazing kids but i don't know that they don't get picked on, i don't know what makes them quirky and fun for me, ought in a school setting but what i do know is we have opportunity every angle of culture to move away from the divisive wokeness and tackle this. disney's got more money than lassie, to quote my dad.

i remember when family matters, full house and shows like that address these problems in a way that didn't say they are good for this reason and bad for that reason how you look. i remember it wasn't about that at all, it was what kind of person you are and as a child can you learn to accept somebody different than you? auto what you lose putting programming and things of that nature. i want the government -- i don't know if the government can fix it but if you have someone dying and you should be held accountable. >> at devices on top of that. >> that is the windfall of little. we don't know as parents have to regulate social media because we didn't grow up on it and to be true, most of us are addicted to it in our own way, maybe instead of twitter or tik tok or instagram instead of chat, easy to take a 3-year-old to a restaurant, we didn't throw screens in front of their faces and it's a good thing. that is the whole thing, we can't let our kids get addicted to something we don't know how to process direct we got in

trouble for doing push-ups to be fair. [laughter] >> we did. that's how he disciplined and the manager is like you can't -- >> not socially acceptable to strike them in public. >> what's interesting, you did discipline your kids but other people would give them a screen and that would control them so you wouldn't have to. i think the phone, we are handing a timebomb to kids and in school it should be banned and not my case, my 14-year-old doesn't have a phone. >> my 13-year-old does, he lives with his mom have the time and may have to time so he and i can communicate better but it's not about in my opinion, is not prohibition, it's relation. it's not you can have a phone, it's this is how you're going to use it and i'm going to check in to make sure you are using it that way. not every kid is the same no matter how you parents, it's a lot of work to be a parent but

worth it. i feel so bad that family, it breaks my heart. >> joey, your resident nascar resident, we had a couple of races yesterday with highlights, what did you see? >> i'll be honest, i saw you all having dinner yesterday and we did watch some of the race on screen and restaurant. the ending of last night's race brings to light for the people who are casual nascar fans, you can watch a baseball game and say balls and strikes were called right, watch a football game and say downs were called right, you disagree, is movement there. nascar has the same thing which in my opinion is a good thing. last night justin should probably have one the race but the way they called, he ended up not winning it, it shows you nascar gets to make decisions like referees and other sports do.

bassman truck series. ellis, your professional racecar drivers. is anybody at school have anything cooler to say? that's -- there's no astronauts at age 12 you got to have a trophy. coolest job at age 12? >> it's really cool and special to do this and it means the world to me to be able to do it. housing anybody else can say they drove race cars and the young age of they didn't do these and cool and special to do it. >> you are eight, how old were you when you started driving? >> four and a half. >> four and half years old when you started driving race cars? >> you start practicing at four and a half, racing at five. >> you waited all the weight until five before you started racing? let me go down to daniel. since you are 19, assuming you

started pretty young as well like these guys. >> when i was eight. >> what are the cars you race when you're younger? you're in a craftsman truck, what you race when you are seven, eight years old? >> i started like these guys days, he's raising the first car i ever raced. i've worked with the these guys, as i was on my way out, it's super cool to see what these guys are doing willing races, having fun and learning, it's the first step in a successful racing career. guys like jeff gordon, winning the nascar championships started this raising so they are on a great path. >> all right, seven years old. what you like about racing? >> i like to win and go fast. >> do you win and do you go fast? >> a lot i when.

[laughter] >> you one a lot? how fast do you guys go in the youth series? >> i can go from 40 to 50, even 60 sometimes. >> and these guys, how fast do you go? >> about 20? >> okay. i went 145, what you think? >> that's pretty good. >> i don't know if we've got it on screen but you can see me taking a lot, i don't know if you have tips or pointers or critique but 145 average, my buddy went 154 so i didn't get the trophy. >> that's pretty good, you got it pretty good with number 43, richer petty number, the number i race on the series, looking good so far. holding a steady wheel so good work. >> i could not be more impressed with all of you, 19 to seven, racing nascar youth series.
