carolina, presidential candidate j john edwards. you might recall that he accepted donations of maybe a million total. from donors and he used to money to take care of a girlfriend he had who got pregnant and put her up in an apartment. jack smith decided to prosecute him. a violation of federal election code. that money of the not reported. -- was not reported and violated limits and on and on. the jury found mr. edwards innocent, among other reasons, mr. edwards said he relied on advice of counsel. and this kind of a violation requires specific knowledge that you intent to commit a crime, if you are relying on advice of counsel, and

counsel said, he was free to do this, it is hard to convict someone then of a specific intent crime. so what? about? obstruction of justice is a specific crime, you have to know you are intending to obstruct the grand jury, the jury or to obstruct justice. the conviction is beyond a rya reasonable doubt, what is going on? jack smith lost that case, now he is trying to pierce the attorney-client privilege, the solemn privilege that we have. so you can consult with an attorney, you have to be able to prepare a defense, why? because otherwise you can't have fair trial, remember what you are up against, the

using this privilege is being asserted to cover-up on going be on obstruction and criminal activity. so why is smith doing that? he got burned in the edwards trial. and he figures let me get ahead of the curve, and access to what this lawyer cochran and trump have talked about, and i will utes the crime fraud exception, ladies and gentlemen this is an apuce of the crime fraud exception to attorney-client priv lprivilege. he has no evidence whatsoever. unless he has violated the attorney-client privilege with other lawyers who are surrounding donald trump, so far mr. smith called in three lawyers in front of his grand jury that represent donald trump in the documents case, two have testified.

and mr. cochran one of his lead lawyers. he has asserted attorney-client privilege, what mr. smith is trying to do is break that down get a left wing judge, who ruled against donald trump over single privilege claim that donald trump has made in federal district court in washington d.c. to do the statement, so donald trump won't be able to defend himself, that is appalling and that the problem. what else do we know. when he was head of public integrity second, he over a prosecution of former governor bob mcdonald, they used bribery st statute in virginia. saying he took gifts for meetings and that. and he applied an extremely

voted in the majority the decision rit wr written by chief justice roberts, reversing the case, remanding is back to 4 circuit, leaving up to didepartment of justice if they want to retry or drop the case, they drop the case because they didn't have a case. merrick garland picks this guy after they sent him to thhague to bring him back. after the two epic fails, he has a wildly broad interpretation of obstruction. he wants to make a case but violate a principle that applies to all of us what justice and -- when it comes to justice and lawyers, the
