so harris flew to atlanta for a speech. she was there two days. at the same time, gavin newsome showed up in washington ant went to the white house. that's not proof, but it's something to watch. for sure. going forward. we're out of time. sean hannity starts right now. >> sean: welcome to this special edition of hannity. i'm pete hegseth in for sean on this monday night, president's day. tonight the lights are -- might be on at the white house. you can see there in a live shot. but joe biden is not home. he spent president's day abroad in kyiv, ukraine with another president. joe held habits with vladimir zelensky and pledged an additional $500 million u.s. taxpayer dollars in military
6:01 pm
aid. so far, the united states has appropriated $113 billion of your dollars for the ukrainian war effort with no end in sight. that's all joe biden will say. this will never end. florida congressman matt gaetz told foxnews.com, on president's day, i'm not surprised that joe biden is ditching america for ukraine. they can keep him. sure can. gaetz was referencing the disaster in east palestine, ohio which had been ignored from this administration. no visits from biden or pothole pete or anybody else. until recently, fema, the federal emergency managing agency has been mia until they were shamed to deploying a team two weeks later and moments
6:02 pm
after donald trump said he would be visiting. under biden, serious problems have atten tendency to fester. at home and abroad. communist china continues to descyber rattle all over the wo and refuses to apologize for flying a balloon across on country. >> you just got out of a meeting with wong li of china. we have read the read-out. what i'm more concerned about, what did he say to you, number 1, did it begin with an apology for the balloon? >> chuck, i don't want to char char characterize what he said but there was no apology. >> definitely no apology. where do we go from here. joining us now, john ratcliffe. thanks for being here.
6:03 pm
so it's president's day. he could have gone to the washington or lincoln memorial or east palestine for people that suffering. now he's pledging more money for the ukraine. the communist chinese have just sent their foreign minister at the same time to moscow. so as we spend more in ukraine, china and russia seem to be getting closer. >> pete, even if you look at how badly the biden administration has mismanaged ukraine up to this point, a war that many of us believe a strong president could have avoided, we believe that it was biden's weakness in afghanistan that prompted putin to move on ukraine in the first place. even if you set that aside, set aside on the second day of the russian invasion, biden wanted to surrender ukraine. he offered him a ride out of the country. if you set that aside and set
6:04 pm
aside the past year no matter whether we're talking about sinker missiles or javelins or tanks, the biden administration in delivering support has been slow and late and indecisive. when you set that aside, it's hard to fathom what a blender this was. this national security team would send him 5,000 away to ukraine and they haven't sent him 250 miles to east palestine to talk about ukrainian, not just providing weapons but talking about welfare and support to the ukrainian people when there's a train derailment and environmental disaster, this is a ukraine first, ohio last policy. you're right. all at the same while, there only encourages and emboldens china to help russia and to work together and what has been and will continue to be a multidirectional assault on american supremacy that they
6:05 pm
have done the last two years and will continue to do. >> you talked about vladimir putin's calculation. they smelled weakness and they smelled an opportunity and went for it just like under obama. like the chinese, what is their view of washington? we can get away with this and at the same time weaken american. >> everybody saw what happened in afghanistan. china certainly did. make no mistake, pete, china has been involved in ukraine since day one. the day that china said we'll take from russia all of the oil and gas that you want to sell us, they said to vladimir putin, we'll find your war against ukraine. so now that they're talking about getting more directly involved with weapons and ammunition, it's not a lot different from what they have already been doing. i suspect that they have been providing lethal aid through the
6:06 pm
wagner group with drones and other things. they'll continue to support russia against -- to work with russia against us because there are no consequences, pete. that's the calculation. a million americans died from a virus that they haven't been confronted about. 100,000 americans have been died from fentanyl that nothing was said about. and now they flew a spy balloon and wanted us to return it. no offense is too late. they can get away with everything with this administration. why wouldn't they see this as a window of opportunity? i hate to say it, pete, but they see a two-year window of opportunity for continued aggression that may not exist after two more years. >> yeah, continue to gather intelligence, continue to pump people and deadly drugs across our southern border, continue
6:07 pm
to -- >> and militarily, pete. they'll move on taiwan while there's a window of opportunity. there's no indications that they will be considered anything by a friendly competitor. that's what we keep telling them no mat or what offense they commit. they keep getting away with it. >> director ratcliffe, thanks very much for your time. we appreciate it. sadly, whether the president is at home or abroad, you know this, biden will find a way to embarrass himself and by extension our country on the world stage. watch this from today. >> a coalition of nations from the atlantic to the pacific, f
6:08 pm
nato, to the atlantic, japan in the pacific. across the world. the number of nations, over 50. >> whoa. here now with reaction, south carolina congresswoman nancy mace. so if you're the american people, are you confident in this endless endeavor this administration is undertake. if you're xi jinping, are you aware of this alliance that he didn't lay out? >> that was quite the world salad if you ask me. kind of an embarrassment. being in ukraine on president's day rather than going to ohio where americans are really suffering on one of the largest environmental disasters in my lifetime. it's an embarrassment. this president's abject failure on foreign policy started with the failed evacuation in afghanistan and ended two weeks ago when he allowed a chinese spy balloon to traverse across
6:09 pm
our country over nuclear sites, military sites before it was shot down and they knew about it long before then. i just got back from the munich security conference. i got to see this first hand while overseas. there's great concern about ukraine but it has to be stronger than? >> help me with the mindset, congress woman. he spent about ten times more time or five times or three times more time in ukraine than he has at east palestine and the border combined. pit stops at the border or pit stop -- >> how much more money has he invested in ukraine? >> yes. what is the mindset of that view? we're going to spend billions in ukraine but ignore our problems at home. >> right. it's ukraine first and america last, the policy. the one thing i want to stress is that we have as a country
6:10 pm
invested $113 billion, pete, as you said earlier tonight, $113 billion has been invested. we've seen this administration fumble the ball. if you're going to invest that money, use it the way it should be. get the legal aid to do it faster. we're looking and watching. i've seen this. the state department fumble and slow-roll the aid that we're sending over there. they don't have that much time. on top of that on president's day, he goes to ukraine and hasn't mentioned ohio, east palestine, isn't talking about visiting it. those people are suffering. they need to hear from their president and they're not. they need aid. our border wall, over five million people have crossed illegally. according to the drugs and fentanyl coming across, i had a friend die from an accidental fentanyl overdose. this is serious stuff. every town in this country today is a border town. >> when we spend the billions -- we don't have a lot of time.
6:11 pm
what is the easily digestible stated end state of these hundreds of billions that we're sending to ukraine? what do we get out of it? >> it's important that we protect ukraine, this all started in 08 when the west didn't pay attention to what was going on in georgia and in 14, we had crimea and the donbas region and putin fields enboldened. now he's got iran and china supporting him. and the united states made a commitment in the 90s to ukraine. they gave up their nuclear weapons. the one thing that americans don't know about is all of the natural resources and rare earth minerals that the united states uses. if putin gets ahold of that, the cost of war is greater than him talking ukraine and the $113 billion that we're investing right now. we're talking about palladium, lumber, wheat, barley, further security for the united states and around the world. it's a big deal. if we're going to invest that money, we need to get it done
6:12 pm
and get the lethal aid that they need faster. that is very concerning to me, seeing that kind of money. i don't want to see it wasted, spend it well and do it fast so they can win. >> we'll see. yeah, as someone that spent some time in multi-decade wars in the middle east, an end state needs to be clear. i don't want my kids fighting in donbas for an unclear end state. thanks, congress woman mace. thanks for your time. now back to east palestine, ohio as the congresswoman reiterated where democrat sherrod brown is -- remember democrat sherrod brown? the man of the people? he's been forced to acknowledge that the situation on the ground is no bueno. take a look. >> senator brown, you were just there this week on thursday. should the residents of east palestine accept the assurances from the government or are they right to be skeptical? >> they're right to be
6:13 pm
skeptical. the epa administrator when i was there both the state and the federal epa administrators said that but when you return to your home, we think the water is safe. when you return to your home, you should be tested again for your water and your soil and your air. not to mention those that have their own wells. >> this crisis is getting the attention that it deserves but is it too little too late? after severe backlash, norfolk southern's ceo traveled to east palestine over the weekend. no work yet if anyone from the white house will ever make the trip. kind of like the border. it's happening. we don't want to talk about it. former president trump is set to visit the town on wednesday. joining us now, ari fleischer, the host of the larry elder show for "the epic times" and fox news contributor, joey jones. ari, you're in the white house. you've been there. far more dramatic crises than
6:14 pm
this. you have check calls, smoke, citizens without the ability to determine what their next step is and you more or less do nothing? what is the thought process in the white house? >> yeah, when there's a natural disaster or any type of disaster, it's a test of the white house and it's an easy test to pass. you show up, you go, you demonstrate your concern. shows people that you take it seriously. the resources of the government will be available and you dive in to the problem. the biden administration has been slow, weak, inclear and tainteded. one of the reasons so many people are skeptical is because of covid. remember, we were supposed to wear gloves and watch all the items we bought from grocery stores. there's been so much that the government has gotten wrong.
6:15 pm
in this case, the slow response, acting like they didn't care, the people of east palestine. didn't matter if you are evacuated from your home. the federal government is not here to help you. >> larry what is the why? ari laid out how this is a lay-up if you just address it head on. why is the why of why they didn't or haven't? >> well, you know, i used to live in this part of ohio. it's northeast. it's about 90 miles away from cleveland. it's fly-over country. it's a part of the people that people don't care about. working class white people and they're not a priority for this administration. i have friends and relatives there. you watch the local news,24/7 and they're livid. they don't trust the government. as we were told about covid, if you get the vaccine, you won't get the virus. we're told that it didn't have any adverse effects. we're told that natural immunity was good or better.
6:16 pm
now we find out that it is. a lot that these government officials don't know. after they did the controlled burn, they said you can go back home and drink the water. an ma'ams are dying, the water is glowing, peoples's eyes are stinging and they're developing rashes. they don't trust the government and for should that. >> we spend the weekend at the daytona 500 together. you've been very thoughtful on this. for people that love in rural areas and the resources are not what you have in a big city, the federal government is supposed to be there to step in. who are they to get information from? what are they to trust? >> yeah, i taught my brother-in-law, both brother laws have been firemen for 25 years. when anything happens in a small town like this one, there's the hazmat experts to first respond. they'll create a cordon, identify what they see and the ronald reagan sends their hazmat
6:17 pm
out and that's who takes action on the actual cargo of the railroad. i talked to them and they said they probably burned it because they make a determination that it's safer to burn it than have it seep in the to the ground. it seeped in the ground. it went everywhere. who are they supposed to trust? the municipalities don't have an end easy government. they have to be balanced. they can't buy every type of hazmat utility out there to work in a town of 4,500. so the federal government is who has to step in. that's when their job matters. the railroad is not except from this either. who can they trust? we're trying to figure that out ours ourselves. aren't we, pete? >> we are. ari, do they recognize the disconnect of going to ukraine and not going to east palestine? you think they understand that in the white house? >> no. no. i think they look at this and they think it's a bunch of conservatives complaining.
6:18 pm
they think they can walk and chew game at the same time. president trump going there wednesday is a smart move. the issue i keep balancing, the tests that are being done by local officials are saying that the soil is fine. the air is fine. people don't believe it. that's the problem that the biden administration has created by waiting so late. i don't want to overstate the fears or the scare. we don't know. i don't want people to rush out and think everything is terrible. especially if local tests are saying that. people need to approach us with an open mind. the administration blew it but getting around to it so late and acting like they didn't care. >> larry, if they do arrive, can they make up for this gaffe? >> you tell me. senator brown was asked if he would drink the water. he wouldn't give a straight answer. ari is right. why don't the officials just say there's a lot we just don't
6:19 pm
know? there may be consequences. ten years down the line. we don't know. >> instead, joey, they go to -- it's 100% safe, have no fear. feed it to your newborn. why can't they have that nuance approach? we don't know. >> it's easy for them to make proclamations because we just went through two years with no account ability. hey, listen, the president had this amazing stunt planned for showing up in a war zone with sirens going off. they couldn't have bad news ruin that. they couldn't ruin a bad news week with something like that planned. so this administration over and over again takes the if you ignore it, i didn't happen approach. we've seen that at the border, we see it here, all over the place and apparently for some reasons it seems to work for them. >> so true. >> it's just like they had a trip planned to beijing and there was this balloon and they were going to ignore it except
6:20 pm
one guy took pictures of it and they couldn't ignore it. >> those reporters. >> i know, man. they're pesky. ari, larry, joey, thanks very much. great stuff. thank you. coming up, america's intolerant liberals just can't help themselves. more disgusting attacks on nikki haley's age, race and gender. she will join us next to respond as this special edition of "hannity" rolls on.
6:25 pm
>> you're not a new generation. you're 51. what are you talking about? >> compared to d.c. though, that's a new generation. congress is -- >> it's not a new generation. she may be younger than most of those people but her rhetoric is the same. she says the same b.s. >> i see her and i feel sad because she uses her brown skin as a weapon against poor black folks and poor brown folks and uses her brown skin to launder talking points. >> nikki haley is not in her prime. when a woman is considered to be in her prime at 20s, 30s and 40s. >> pete: she uses her brown skin as a weapon and mocking her age. don lemon faced widespread backlash. he was seen frolicking on the beach in miami. he probably planted that photographer. look at that photo on the left. get higher.
6:26 pm
make me look good on the beach as i jog. according to one network insider at cnn, don lemon's return to the show depends on where his head is at, which is what we all ask when we watch him. he was not on the show this morning. joining us now with her reaction, 2024 presidential candidate, former governor and u.n. ambassador. nikki haley, thanks for being here. your response in the way the media has come after you. >> i'm not surprised, pete. i've dealt with this all my life. they can't stand a conservative minority female not being a democrat. and so they will continue to throw everything. when i first won the governorship in south carolina, it was liberal minority democrats that said she's not a minority. she's just a conservative with a dan. this is going to continue to happen. it infuriates them because they know we win independents. they know we win suburban women and we know we win minorities.
6:27 pm
our solutions lift up everyone, not just a select few. more importantly, look at how hypocritical this is. if a republican said this about kamala harris or said this about any democrat, they would be asking for people to be fired. you're not hearing that. i mean, first day it was whoopi goldberg. the second day it's don lemon. today "the view" picks it up back again and trying to glorify dianne feinstein and maxine waters when i say we should have mental competency tests. we struck a nerve but i'll wear it as a imagine of honor. >> pete: did you anticipate this generational thing? 51 is young in washington d.c. i'll be 51 before i blink. you're in the middle of a political career, so much ahead
6:28 pm
and you have a democrat party that has been lauding nancy pelosi for decades that is a tad bit older your senior than you. did you think age would be the issue? we knew race. but age? >> it's all they had. they were just looking for something. i'm 30 years younger than joe biden. they seriously looked -- if you look at polls, democrats don't even want him. you can't say i'm old when you have a president 31, 32 years older than me. that's ridiculous. at the end of the day, we're going to talk about things that matter. i'm at royal flooring in iowa. they want accountability in washington d.c. they want term limits, mental competency for elected governments. they want government to remember that they work for the people, not the other way around. the libs can get upset. i saw bernie sanders lost his mind over it. when they get defensive, who do
6:29 pm
they think they are that people in america don't deserve to see what the mental competency of these elected officials are? why are they so upset that we're asking for term limits? why are we so upset that we want them to balance the budget? washington needs to be cleaned up more than we thought. >> pete: it sure does. what is more important? the ideas that you hold or your age? because there's -- there was criticism of conservative circumstances, you know this, that an illusion to a generational change is an illusion to donald trump. is this about ideas or is it about age? what is most important to you? >> look, i think it's about transparency. like americans need to know that their elected officials are capable of making the really tough decisions. these are decisions on the national debt, education. americans deserve to know these
6:30 pm
things. we need transparency. this is not saying that you can't do your job. this is saying that you need to be transparent enough that you tell the american people whether you're at the top of your game. i don't see anything wrong with that. this is not about one person. this is not about presidential candidates. i want this for all members of congress. look at d.c. right now. look at how old it is. are you comfortable that they can deal with a chinese spy balloon? are you comfortable if iran is trying to get the bomb? no, we need to know that we have people in washington capable of making these decisions and more importantly that they remember who it is that they work for. they have lost that. everybody that is getting defensive about this says more about them than it does about the fact that we're trying to change this. >> pete: and that they remember, you know what day of the week it is. it's a very important thing if you're in a leadership role. real quick, big story. lead story. joe biden in ukraine.
6:31 pm
hasn't been to east palestine. how would you a preach this issue is at this moment? >> it's very telling that here you have one of the worst crises that we have on our border and joe biden won't come. now you have these poor americans in ohio, the first thing i did this as governor, we had hurricanes, floods, a church shooting, a school shooting. the first thing you do is go be with your people. you take your agencies with you. joe biden should have shown up, kamala harris should have shown up. all of their agency heads should have shown up. we had a train derailment in south carolina. those chemicals go in to the understood grow, go into the water, they're in the air. you have to tell the people what you know, when you believe will happen and how you can earn their trust and being back there. this is about parents raising their kids there. this is about people being comfortable breathing the air. it's unacceptable that a president would not go for
6:32 pm
something like this when it's that serious, this is a crises. he always runs from a crisis. >> pete: once again, it comes back to transparency. ambassador nikki haley, thanks for your time tonight. we appreciate it. all right. up next, alec baldwin scored a bit of a win in court. gregg jarrett will explain. and plus, you won't believe what socialists bernie sanders is charges money for his book tour. you have to pay for the book and then pay to get in. leo terrell and tomi lahren will weigh-in when we come back. out here, you're a landowner, a gardener, a landscaper and a hunter. that's why you need versatile, durable kubota equipment.
6:34 pm
oooohhh, it is cold outside time to protect your vehichle from winters wrath of course the hot sun can be tough on vehicles too you need weathertech all year round! come on, protect your investment laser measured floorliners and cargoliner will shield the carpeting from sand and snow for your interior, there's seat protector and sunshade plus, mudflaps and bumpstep for the exterior
6:37 pm
caught a lucky break. a charge was dropped. baldwin is charged in connection with the death of halyna hutchins on the movie set of "rust" in october of 2021. if found guilty, baldwin could face 18 months, a much shorter sentence in prison. why was the firearm enhancement charge dropped? why was it added in the first place? join to us explain, gregg jarrett. why did they drop it? >> they had to. the fact of the matter is, this is an unforced error by the district attorney. doesn't bode well for the prosecution. you can never apply a new law retroactively. any lawyer knows that is unconstitutional. this d.a. tried to bootstrap a
6:38 pm
new law to a previous alleged crime. they had to drop it. that doesn't mean that baldwin still isn't in serious legal jeopardy. he has to stand trial for involuntary manslaughter. the central question will be did he breach the duty of due care for the safety of his crew members on the set. i think it's going to turn on what is the standard in the industry. that's identified by baldwin's own union, the screen actor's guild. they send out safety protocols and rules to their members like baldwin and they say among other things, always assume that the weapon you're handed the loaded. never point it at somebody else and you must undergo mandatory firearms training. what is in the training? the training tells an actor when you receive the gun only from an armorer, notice an assistant director, you must double-check it.
6:39 pm
open the gun, look at the cylinder, the chamber, the barrel. make sure there's an inert dummy round. the training tells you how to distinguish it. baldwin didn't do any of those things. failure to do it could constitute gross recklessness, which is involuntary manslaughter. his other problem is he was the on-set location producer. that carries with it an additional duty of care to protect the crew. and you know, the prosecution is prepared to put witnesses on the stand that will say this was an out of control sloppy reckless set in which there were misfires of weapons. people are having fun and games shooting at beer cans during breaks. if it could be shown that baldwin knew that was going on, live rounds are never supposed to be anywhere near a set. that could also constitute gross
6:40 pm
recklessness and negligence, which is involuntary manslaughter. this will in the end, i think, be a battle of the experts and who the jury will believe. >> pete: yeah. a violation of basic gun safety. i'm not a lawyer but i stayed at a holiday inn express and i know you can't pass a law based on something in the past. thanks, gregg. back on the east coast, everyone's facialist socialist -- some people -- bernie sanders is going on tour to promote his new book titled "it's okay to be angry about capitalism." he's selling this book on the free market. the book is not free. you have to buy it through a capitalist system and then he's charging guests almost $100 just to attend one of his anti-capitalism events. surprisingly bernie was asked to explained this hypocrisy during
6:41 pm
an interview with cbs. take a look. >> first of all, those decisions are made by the publisher and the book seller. so if you want to come, you have to pay $40. we're doing a number of free events. i don't make a nickel. >> pete: he doesn't make a nickel, he says. the socialist famously has three houses. when bernie isn't on tour promoting socialism, he and other far left democrats claim to be environmentalists unless it contradicts their green new deal agenda. for example, since the beginning of this year, at least ten dead whales have washed up in new jersey and new york. many now believe the whale deaths are connected to the recent development of off-shore wind farms. what is the one thing that has changed? big winds in your beach view. environmentalists don't seem to
6:42 pm
care. here for reaction, fox news contributor leo terrell and the host of tomi lahren is fairless on outkick, tomi lahren. thanks for being here. leo, does he really think we're that dumb? that the socialists anti-capitalists -- >> i can't hear him. i lost him. >> pete: you can't hear me? we'll go to tomi. does he really think we're buying this? >> i think he does. because these democrats socialists have gotten away with it for too long. i'm glad you're bringing up bernie sanders. i almost forgot he existed. when it comes to the woke democratic party, he's more conservative than some of the new ones. this is just exposing what is champagne democratic socialism. they don't want everybody to be equal. they want the rest of us to get poorer together as a collective and the elites like bernie sanders they still want to sit at the top, they want to check their paycheck, they still want to live above us.
6:43 pm
it's no different than the hypocrisy of al gore and john kerry in a private plane. they think they have one standard because they're better than us and the rest of us should eat their crumbs. >> pete: leo, would you shell out $100 to go to an anti capitalism event that he says he won't make money from? >> let me think about that. no. the democrat elites live like millionaires. they love capitalism. what they want to do, they want to eliminate the middle class. they want every one the dependent on the government. they want the tell you what type of car to buy, where to live and how much food we can eat. we're facing inflation, high crime, we're facing poor schools. i have a governor out here, pete, that would love to take you to the french laundry because the democrats like to live off of the capitalist systems and live like millionaires but they're elitists. this is not the old democratic party that i used to belong to.
6:44 pm
this party is only interested in themselves. bernie sanders is a reflection of that. >> pete: you know, tomi, how much do they care about capitalism versus making money? in east palestine, a environmental disaster and looking the other way. in new jersey, don't they love whales? they shouldn't be dying. if they can make money off of the big white thins that spin, everything is fine. >> i think the environmentalists have taken a vacation. certainly for the last several weeks or so. we're seeing what is happening in ohio. the whales washing up. the environmentalists don't care. this is the green lobby at work. they don't care about the environment. they care about control, they care about lining their pockets and they care about power. anything that will bring them attention, anything that will make their globalists desires come to reality. we're seeing that because the people in the midwest are being
6:45 pm
nuked right now. whales are washing up on the beach. they never admit that there's problems with this farce that they're trying to spin for the american people. they will never admit it. it pokes holes in their major agenda. they're marxist huggers. that's the green lobby and it's terrifying. >> pete: leo, they used to bo conversationists. that was the idea of the environmentalists. now it's a green agenda. >> let me be very clear. it's a big lie. save the planet is a lie. it's about lining your pockets, it's about power and control. save the planet, being concerned. the whales are interfering with their false narrative. they're out to make money and nothing more. nothing less. they're not interested in saving the planet at all. >> pete: leo, tomi, great stuff. i don't know how old you are but you're in your prime.
6:46 pm
thanks very much. straight ahead, woke social justice warriors are at it again. this time they're cancelling popular children's books because of nonincluesive language. we'll discuss some of the most egregious examples with sean duffy and dr. carroll swain. stay with us. i live in flagstaff, arizona. i'm an older student. i'm getting my doctorate in clinical psychology. i do a lot of hiking and kayaking. i needed something to help me gain clarity. so i was in the pharmacy and i saw a display of prevagen and i asked the pharmacist about it. i started taking prevagen and i noticed that i had more cognitive clarity. memory is better. it's been about two years now and it's working for me. prevagen. at stores everywhere without a prescription.

might be deemed offensive. year not going to believe their changes under covered by the telegraph. for example, the tiny men, in charlie and the chocolate factory, are now referred to as little people. and meanwhile, the word "fat", it was enormously fat has been scrubbed from a line in a book. now it's just enormous. and they were describing a mouse. in james and the giant peach, the term cloud nine has been changed to cloud people. the word white not used in reference to peopleoverall was scrubbed in this line. because apparently just saying the word white is offensive. here with reaction, "black eye for america" dr. carroll swain and sean duffy. thanks for being here. carroll, i mean, i believe --
6:52 pm
