white crowds, white families, gathered to celebrate the spectacle, taking pictures of the bodies and mailing them as postcards, hard to believe, that was done and some people still want to do that. >> so don lemon saw all this and much more like it and thought he understood the new rules, white republicans are bad, attack them relentlessly. mr. lemon missed one distinction, white middle-class are bad, but white elites are good, they are nancy pelosi, on our side and upper income college educated white women are best of all since they are the democratic base. see how that works? both groups are white, one is evil and one is holy. in political terms that distinction makes sense, it was too subtle for don lemon, over

two books and his latest venture he will tell us about, vic, thank you. seems like don lemon is a cable host, perfect illustration of identity politics wind up when you stray from universal principles that bind us under the same rules. >> exactly. we are in the middle of a national identity crisis, tucker, celebrated differences so long, we forgot the ways we are the same as americans bound by a common set of ideals that set this nation into motion 250 years ago. i'm proud to say i'm running for united states president to revive those ideas in this country, those basic rules of the road, meritocracy, you get ahead in this country, not on color of your skin, but content of your character. you can speak freely, yes, to be wrong sometimes, as long as your neighbor gets the same in

i want to see the gop do, answer the question what it means to be an american today. we dilute secular agenda, yes, i've been complaining about them, there is a role for identifying the problem. to deliver a solution, we need to rediscover that national identity we share and if we do that, i still think, deep in my bones, our best days, not some cheesy politician kind of way, truly our best days can be ahead of us, it will take that revival to make it happen. >> i hope you will come back often, you are one of the great talkers we've ever had. you identify china as primary concern of american foreign policy, you don't think the war in eastern europe. >> absolutely correct. foreign policy is about prioritization, wake up to the fact china is violating our sovereignty. if that was russia spy balloon, the answer is simple, we depend

on them for modern way of life, this economic co-dependant relationship has to end. if you use military for something, decimate cartels in a failed narco state that is killing people on american soil with fentanyl, that is good use of military, protecting american soil and interests not pointless war somewhere else. the heart of this goes to reviving national identity. what does it mean to be american? you know what you need to defend and this vision is linked and tied to our foreign policy vision and that is why i'm running for president, that needs to be top of the gop agenda, top of this country agenda and i'm running to make it happen. >> fascinating to see you weigh into this, thank you for announcing here. >> thank you. joe biden continued to advocate for the third world war today,

united states and going to east palestine, ohio or going to the border and saying that same thing. that is irony, i'm generation x and i'm a letterman guy. my points, we spent trillion a year on national defense and my point from my book is holy cow, we have to look at this differently and bring that money home and spend on things here in america to make america stronger. your point about china and russia is so valid. i'll be a little bit counter factual, i think chairman xi and chinese communist party are laughing all the way to the bank as they play us again. >> tucker: of course they are, well, sure, military and economic alliances affect our economy. china primary goal is to make money, right? it is a business/government.

if china is russia are alike, russia providing the raw materials, this just makes the chinese trade block stronger and us much weaker, does it not? >> yeah, 2500 border between china and russia and russia focused on ukraine to the west right now, i got to think the chinese communist party is licking their lips going, we couldn't ask for better, they have serious limitations and all lies to the north. it is a little bit of off the wall answer, but i think the chinese are playing the long game. we, as you highlight so much on your show, we have this short view and need frankly the vex said the same thing, we have to look long-term and i think the chinese are playing us both pretty well. >> tucker: of course they are and we are letting them. chris miller, thank you. >> thanks for having me, thanks
