the highest profile person who can run points on this. it is hard to follow the logic of the biden administration response to this. it combines to things that are extensively the administration would care about, environmental and damage and blue collar town and midwest and all things the administration claims to care about and it took them two weeks to take it seriously and even now, they have done little more than paid lyft service. >> you hear joe biden says all the time, this is one of the times where his dad would say, joe, you need to go to east palestine and hang out with those people because they are suffering. peter ducey asked this to john kirby, i think it is a fair question. >> something the president said in the speech today, ukraine will never be a victory for russia but he also says our support for ukraine will never waiver. does that mean the ukrainians can discount on a blank check from the u.s.? >> there is really never been a blank check here. >> it is a blank check, marc.

folks at home. i think people l llook at ai and give it the benefit of the doubt. this is amazing technology and of course it is going to be objective and honest. people who are not following this story closely will just assume that. my concern is as ai becomes more and more widely used, we are going to get comfortable assuming that what it is telling us is accurate. i think that's in a lot of way what folks with the media where we assumed that we are getting objective news and not partisan news and all of a sudden people a little bit too late came to reality that no, they're being partisan and not being objective. that ends up happening with ai. >> chat gpt will never be tasked

well, the defense in the double murder trial of alec murdaugh questioned murdaugh's son today and what he said could be taken in a couple of different ways. here is the senior correspondent, eric shaw. >> can you state your full name and spell your last name. >> richard, alexander murdaugh jr. >> alex murdaugh's oldest son,

buster, he testified his dad seen distraught and destroyed by the murder of his wife, maggie and son, paul. >> it was heartbroken and i walked up the door and i saw him and gave him a hug and just -- just broken down. >> reporter: prosecutors claim murdaugh committed the murder to hide his financial crime and with his wife finding a stash of pills one month before his murder. buster testified that his family knew and dealt with the addiction. >> i knew either my brother or mom found at some point and he went to a detox facility. that was my knowledge of it. >> reporter: the defense also tried to show the family was careless about their guns inferring someone else could have taken one to commit the murders. defense expert claims forensics from the angle of the

bullet wounds showed that murdaugh was too tall. meanwhile, while buster testified, his father smiled at him from the defense table. his son described as a loving dad and a close-knit family. the trial is expected to wrap up next week. >> thank you, let's bring in our criminal defense attorney, i want to end with what eric was talking there about in the end and we'll get into what the son was testifying about. this defense engineer produces digital reproductions of crime scene who says whoever shot maggie murdaugh would have been a foot shorter than alex murdaugh. do you believe in that kind of evidence and does it s ssway the jury? >> i believe in that kind of evidence, absolutely, trace. the admissibility of the evidence is clearly there. the weight the jury will obtain and assign to

that evidence may be very low. i mean there are so many variables that the prosecutors pointed out. in a case like this, we use this type of information but we specifically portray it with the real reconstruction with video and audio of the injuries as they took place in realtime. we didn't have that in this case presented by the defense. it was an individual who presented conjecture and possibility which may be what the defense is after to create reasonable doubt. very little weight and although aid missable. >> to buster murdaugh in the stance today, this was future c ccast c ccast - fascinating because the interview that murdaugh did with investigators whether he said they did him bad or they did him bad. here was what the son was asked today in court. watch. >> what did your dad say? >> they did them so bad.
