wanted in an earlier deadly shooting at that same location. the 24-year-old journalist dylan lyons was believed to have worked at orange county news 13 for just under a year. the other victims spectrum news jesse waldron and the more of that 9-year-old victim. both of them in critical condition. authorities first responded to a murder scene at 11:20 in a morning yesterday. where they found a 20-year-old girl shot dead, woman i should say. later that evening two news 13 journalists were at the scene reporting on that crime. authorities believe the same suspect returned to the scene and opened fire on the crew just after 4:00 p.m. police say the gunman walked into a nearby home killing a 9-year-old girl and then wounding her mother. >> it is unclear why the suspect entered that home. you really don't know what was in the mind of this suspect. and, you know, hopefully at some point he'll talk to us, you know, about what his motives

were. >> todd: authorities arresting 19-year-old keith moses yesterday in connection with to all three shootings. police say the 19-year-old was armed with a handgun at the time and was seen smirking as officers took him away in handcuffs. moses has a lengthy criminal history including gun charges, assault with a deadly weapon and battery. authorities believe he knew the first victim but had no connection to the others. unclear if he was targeting the news crew because police say their van was not marked with its logo. the parent company of spectrum saying, quote: we are deeply saddened by the loss of our colleague and the other lives senselessly taken today. we remain hopeful that our other colleague who was injured makes a full recovery. orange county police are pouring over surveillance footage attempting to track down any witnesses. back to you. >> steve: todd, thank you. so there was a murder earlier in the day. and then these tv news crews and there were others other than spectrum were there. they were gathered covering the

story 4:00 in the afternoon. the suspect came over and shot people in the car. you said there was no logo on the outside. did the car look like a police car? do we know what it looked like? when i was a beat reporter. our cars always looked like the police cars just without police on it. >> todd: right. that has continued into the current day. you are not doing too much beat reporting these days. probably the most close to that time in all four of us here. basically suv if you are a cop now. suv if you are one of these news reporters what strikes me head down working on your story there are also other cops in this area presumably if a murder happens here just five hours prior. to say your point, steve, it does beg the question. was this individual, this suspect targeting the cops if he did not know this was a news crew regardless a tragic situation for the news crew, lost their levees 9-year-old

>> it's just telling me that a fire is spreading across the nation right now. people, you know, coming to the light and getting to know jesus as their lord and savior. and it makes me feel really good. right now, this world isn't going so great but knowing that this younger generation is really trying to do something to just make the world a better place is a fantastic feeling. >> ainsley: yeah. sophia, when you watch the news, you hear all of these older people attacking your generation saying, you know, even millennials don't want to work. this kind of thing. what do you say about your generation? what are you all like? what are you all going through? >> there's a lot of stuff going on, especially with like inflation, things getting more expensive, housing, cars, it's really hard to just continue to push forward. everything is so expensive and the world is has really changed in the past few years. ever since they were younger. but, knowing that we are trying to make it better and more

sustainable for us is what's really pushing us forward? we are all hard workers. trying to make it better. >> ainsley: mary harper, how about for you? what are students going through? >> it's been a very interesting atmosphere i would say. i think that sometimes there's a miscommunication between our generation and others because there's definitely all types of people and all types of generations. and sometimes people only look at the negatives of a generation rather than looking at the positives. i think that this experience will hopefully bring some positive towards our generation. also know guilty, too, that this also can help connect all the generations and we can all join on this together is just a really neat. >> ainsley: i love seeing. this you are going to go through hard times in your life. but when you have god you have direction and hope for the future. god bless you ladies. thank you both. >> thank you so much.

kurt, we are hearing far too much of this. they keep it a low profile but in many cases they are helpless, aren't they? >> good morning, brian. low pro-mile is an understatement on this one. four of their plant completely shut down. when they say it's limited, their internal memo is indicating that they are completely shut down operations meaning halting all food shipments to grocery stores. and they have not reported this until it actually got revealed from internal memos leaking out. and from people going oddly enough to a grocery store and saying hey, the salad kit i normally bifrom dole is not on the shelf. as they questioned dole on facebook. dole eventually rose to the occasion and is now saying yeah, we are under attack and as you know, a ransomware attack is where systems somehow get compromised and then the bad perpetrator there locks it down and says hey give mee the money or some ransom of some sort and i will unlock this and give it

back to you or in some cases they don't. they just lock it up and they run away. this brings up a giant issue for national security. if i were working right now in the federal government looking at the food chain in the u.s. i would say this is not good news. and this is not good news for a giant food company to have this level of vulnerability and it tells you how weak all of us are and how serious it is to lock up our tech from threats like this. and can you imagine this one, brian? and i'm just hypothesizing here. can you imagine if this ransomware attack originated as it often does from sources like russia and it ends up being something that dole has to fork money over because it's a lower cost loss to do that to fund in part the war in ukraine for the russian side? i'm just making that up but it's a reality that those things happen and that's how other operations have been going on in
