and we knew who had pulled the trigger. we. together, we. before we went in, we pray before we went out to get the verdict. that was a huge factor in us being able to sit comfortably with our decision. charlie, that is pretty striking about the prayer. >> it is amazing. i love the story because i love the efficiency with which they deliberated. they were not wasting time. talk about the common sense that we need in this country in order to operate under self-governance they displayed that kind of sense. look around all across our country and the institutions of our country people are so frustrated people feel like they've all ground to a halt. this is an example for our most importance, our most precious institution of our entire country is still working and works properly. the reason it works is because it is entirely run by ordinary citizens. ordinary citizens displaying

catch, catch. except that it was recorded four minutes before the prosecution said alex murdaugh shot his wife and his son. the jurors told fox digital quote i think it's incredible timing on paul's part. i don't think anyone would have ever known he was down there if it wasn't for that video. i think there's a lot of evidence that points toward alex. but i feel like that does solidified. it says a lot that somebody could not speak, some that he could not be a witness was able to be a witness even after they passed away. i just thought that was such a poignant message from the juror. and a moment in the trial. >> absolutely. yes, there is a lot of evidence pointing toward him. there were also a lot of things about it that were interesting you could may be dependent on someone else.

it's not like there's nobody in this town that had recently hate this family. everyone hated this family. but you have a video that places him at the scene of the crime and at the time of the crime, you have to look at that and it's very, very difficult for the matter how good it was witnessed at what she was pretty good on the witness stand he is a sociopath so we can be convincing if he is a sociopath. all the other possibility is go out the window would have something like that he just had no idea that was out there. >> talks about him being on the stand. a lot of people watch thought he did a pretty good job for it there a lot of folks following this case we thought he was like that video, he had told that video he was there. that. it's his son's own voice in his voice on the tape is really interesting. >> it's a smoking phone at 3:30 million people now have the

ability to capture moments if this was the ojeh situation, no one of this to get things on here. it's investigating 101 or you go through the phone, i think they look at text, e-mail to look at the videos on there at that, that was so smart. in the end that is what jurors say this was the tipping point this video. there's no other conclusion logically that you could come to that somebody who is they are talking formants beforehand actually was not the killer h here. you hear the voices particular of the son he seems so happy he had no idea was about to happen to him. that was a sad part and obviously maga the wife as well. >> when a crime is committed and where the victims of someone in their 20s and of course they are recording. of course is going end up coming into the case. i thought this would have been two people who were in the 40s and 50s it would've been a different situation. young folks are recording all of the time too. >> the final minutes this is a 27 day trial or 17, whatever in

the final minutes of the trial as the prosecution was wrapping up their case they listed the most important witnesses. the film took the stand one of them was paul ho's father referring too as papa. and the other one of course was above of the dog. if bubba hadn't grabbed that chicken and come running up alex murdaugh never would've been caught on videotape in his life never would've been exposed. >> it's a very good point. and also this case also highlights look really good journalism is. there were local journalists there, mandy matney is one of them. she hosted one of the most popular podcast regarding this case. she shined in unrelenting light on this case and the very beginning before anybody else was paying attention. then as her podcast gained at listeners, and more people are paying attention. the national media star get on board with this case and really

getting to know this family and its history. this murder case may be over and i'm sure there will be an appeal but it is not over for alex murdaugh. he sells financial crimes has to deal with. there are people who have died around this family that have been spoken for by the family members who are also cheated. >> i first heard about this case i actually remember where i was. this can't this is real? i need to go down and figure out what's going on. all of these people keep dying and they are just allowed to do it. and remember he tried to kill himself or whatever and it didn't work. there is not a twist that did not occur. again he's got a lot more absolutely. we will continue to cover it. there's a fascination down th there. the folks in this area have been under the some of this family.

remember when the democrats and my republican opponents would often look at me during the debates or whatever and say oh no he's going to bring us into world war iii because it's a personality type. i had the personality type that kept us out of wars because people knew they were not going to mess around. that's why i rebuilt our military. we were strong, we were safe, i told delinquent foreign nations they were delinquent they were not paying their bills. if they wanted our protection they had to pay up and they had to pay up now and they did. they paid for in a $50 billion as soon as i said no i won't be protecting you.
