biden unveiling his new budget that includes $2 trillion in tax hikes. the president laying out his plan and of course, picking a fight with those evil republicans. >> the maga republicans want to take away the laws, what they want to do away with the inflation reduction act, maga republicans all voted to get rid of the affordable care act, they voted to get rid of it over 50 times since barack passed it. maga republicans calling for defunding the police department. maga republicans, you know, they don't want things that particularly are going to help oregon families like health care, education, public safety, which can erase cost on folks. look, maga republicans also refused to raise a single penny in new taxes on the wealthiest people. >> jeanine: but republicans may be the least of his problems. progressives in the democratic party are becoming a major thorn in joe's side. they are slamming the president

on crime and immigration. first, biden sided with republicans to block that crazy washington, d.c., insane soft on crime bill. liberals who wanted to fund the police are furious. republicans are taking advantage of the split. >> 173 house democrats voted to support reduced sentences for violent crimes. so crazy, even president biden won't support the anarchy. what's next? defund the police? >> jeanine: biden is also getting slammed for considering a policy that would detain migrant families at the border, and here is adp with the kicker, "biden's reelection bid facing resistance from some democrats. okay, jesse, i absolutely have to start with those maga republicans, they want to take away the law, they want to defund the police, you know, in addition to being evil, they really want to destroy your

life. is this working for him? >> jesse: um, they poll-tested maga, but i am i'm bored already talking about the budget. this is happening every single year. so the democrats come in and say we are going to raise taxes on the rich, and the republicans come in and say you are not going to raise taxes on the r rich, and then neither side cuts spending, and then the debt blows up. it happens every single time pair to the left says you don't care about poor people, you don't care about minorities. and the right says you guys don't care about the budget, and nothing ever happens. and we are going to play the same game and he is going to propose something about tax hikes, and the republicans have the house, so that is not happening, and the republicans aren't going to cut defense spending. and the republicans aren't going to cut medicaid or medicare or social security, so you've got to cut discretionary. and then they can't touch

discretionary because any time you cut discretionary they get accused of being heartless, soulless scrooges. and then the democrats, they are not going to to cut taxes, they want to raise taxes but they can't cut them because they don't have the house, so it is b.s. and i am sick of it. biden is smarter than i'm giving him credit for because all of a sudden come after the midterms, he is tacking back to the center on crime and immigration, and the left is all mad at him but it does not matter because the left hates him. only like 30% of the democratic party wants him to even run for reelection. but that is all they have, because without him, they have kamala and mayor pete and that is a disaster. >> jeanine: you know, harold, the truth is that biden is kind of in a tough spot now because now he is saying, you know, it is the republicans who want to defund the police which is so ridiculous, i don't even want to ask you about that, but the idea that now, he was against the d.c. area, reducing the crime limits terms, and that is going

to make the progressives upset. he has to walk two lines here. >> harold: i don't think so. first of all, i am very happy to be back around this table. it is good to see everybody. i've been thinking about you guys. the thing that jesse said i think is most interesting, there is nobody running against him but him but marianne williamson, so when we talk about resistance, until someone else gets in the race, you hear people talk, you always hear people talk, a republican primary recovery bunch of people talking about running, a few people in the race already, if not two, so this is what happens in politics, but jesse is right. the moment we are at right now with the debt ceiling, there is a huge fight about whether we should try to negotiate, republicans should try to negotiate, make democrats negotiate, reduce spending, increase the debt ceiling. we should increase the debt ceiling, but this is a fight we have to have right now because the debt ceiling, that number money has already been spent. democrats and republican to get to the business of cut spending either for mandatory spending or nonmandatory spending. discretionary or nondiscretionary. it will be interesting to see if

they have the courage to do t that. but we are -- you are right, we are in a political season now, so you are going to hear democrats say certain things, republicans say certain things. president biden is making it clear here's for fighting crime, not for defunding the police, for funding the military, for investing in manufacturing and infrastructure. it will be interesting to see how republicans answer that. i hope they have a robust and serious answers because the country needs it. the only way we are going to avoid this debt ceiling debate, which is a silly debate we're having, is for the debate to happen right now, for compromises to be made, and for everyone to understand, you can't reduce the debt by just raising taxes, as democrats, some, want to do, you can't reduce the debt by reducing spending, as some republicans want to do. it is going to take a coordinated effort via the first thing i would do if i was republicans, make the democrats take all of that unused covid money and put half of it toward deficit reduction and half of it toward either military spending and/or reducing the medicare and social security deficits that we have.

that is how i would start. >> jeanine: all right. go ahead, sandra. >> sandra: you know what else president biden is for? imposing more spending, in a moment of sky-high, record inflation. we got here because of big government spending. i mean, think about the remarkable moment that was today. the president goes out and demonizes the rich, says they need to pay their fair share, says he is going to raise the rate that the corporations are paying, their corporate tax rate is going to go up, so he is going to tax everybody, increase revenues, when revenues aren't the problem, spending is the problem. so think about that. and who is he running against? he looked like he is running as members of his own party. jesse just mentioned it. the number is 37%. the associated press said it's just 37% of democrats nationwide want him to seek a second term. that is down from 62% that wanted him to run for reelection just before the midterm elections. so there is a big drop in popularity and favorability.

you understand my point. but if we impose more spending during this time of sky-high inflation, you are going to be in a much different economic situation, just even a few weeks, months, down the road, and that is going to put democrats in great peril if people are still paying these sky-high prices be at >> jeanine: there is no question, and they are going to see that kind of thing in the supermarket come at the gas pump, everywhere. but you know, greg, biden came in as a moderate, he said he was a moderate, and then we have bernie sanders saying he is the most progressive president in history. and the truth is he is trying to dance a line, you know, now i am glad that he is changing, if he wants to fight crime, but is it going to win for him? >> greg: well come he is the most progressive president in history and he did perform as a moderate during the election, so he did both, right? it is called lying. it is good he sided with the republicans, finally, with crime. maybe some of them are coming to their senses. but it is because it is where they live, right? their policies are directly

consequential because it is in d.c. that is where they live, right? so why can't this be done in other cities? because it doesn't affect them. this is again another example where they change the way they view things because now they are the ones who could be the victims, especially when the congresswoman was victimized months ago. in terms of the budget, i think we have to stop calling it a budget, right? it is identifying as a budget, but when you get its clothes off, it's not, okay? [laughter] >> jeanine: what is it? >> greg: can't be considered -- it is a boat without a bottom. it is technically not a boat if there is no bottom, and there is no bottom to the budget. how can there be an achievement, how can you boast about getting a budget together, when there are no restrictions to what you budget? when you haven't said okay, we have this sum of money and these are the things we want to pay for, just what every person does at home. >> and we just can't print money. >> greg: it's amazing. it is amazing to me that we

pretend this is an achievement, look at the job we did. no, you didn't do anything. you just went through and picked all of the stuff you wanted and then you come up with a number with these, like, numerological chemists that are coming up with this stuff, but this is not a budget. there is no sum of money that you then allocate two different purposes, so it is not a skill, either, to come up with this. it is all a joke they are and the worst thing about it, when you see people pretend like it is an achievement, when all they are doing is putting a gun to the taxpayers, you know, head, basically, figuratively, but if you do not pay your taxes you go to jail, they take our money, and then they give it to the constituents like they are santa claus and they act like they did it. it is worse than jokes dealing. they are basically stealing -- they are stealing people's hard work and they are pretending, pretending, that it is coming from them. >> jeanine: that's very good beer go ahead. >> harold: i was republicans offer -- i agree with you, this is not a serious budget because they can't have all this money, but the republicans will not

$7.2 billion with of aircraft, guns, vehicle, ammunition, specialized equipment, that has fallen into the hands of the taliban. 78 aircraft worth $923 million. i mean, just think about that alone as a result of this chaotic withdrawal from afghanistan. furthermore, the taliban's recruiting former afghan military personnel. think of the real world consequences this far out now that we are now suffering, that has put us in jeopardy, and us in peril as a result of that which chaotic withdrawal. >> greg: that's interesting, i was going to ask you about that, jesse, the equipment vehicle have we seen them use it yet? like the planes? is it simply, like. >> jesse: i doubt they have the expertise to fly our jets, but they probably could use some of the artillery, some of the tanks, some of the weaponry. but, what was it, how many millions did we leave over there?

we probably could have taken that and sold it to the ukrainians and saved a little bit of a discount, and we do know that putin saw that chaotic withdrawal and that encouraged him to invade ukraine, because he sensed weakness on behalf of the united states. so, biden cuts this side deal with the taliban for the e back and says we are not going to shoot you, you don't shoot us, let's do this thing and kabul, but there were no rules of engagement hammered out, so if someone saw a threat and they went up the food chain for approval, no one knew what to say, so none of these men needed to die, and then the state department shuts down the processing of these guys and the planes at dark. once the sun goes down, people start piling up at the airport around the barbed wire, and they are trapped, and then it is chaos, and they are slitting their throats against the barbed wire because they are too afraid to go back to the taliban because that torture is going to be worse than the barbed wire. and no one has been fired. and the democrats never even

really investigated this, did they? so we poured billions of dollars into this stupid country, we left of the taliban with tons of equipment, we have tons of people dead, wounded, no legs, no arms, i'm not sure we have a lot to show for it. so far, though, there hasn't been any of those over-horizon attacks that we were worried about if we ever did leave. >> greg: judge, it is kind of sad to note, he had an eyeball on the homicidal bomber, and it could have been prevented, but it wasn't. >> jeanine: you know, this was a failure of epic proportions. this follows a particular foreign policy disaster that will go down in history as one of the worst fears were the first was the decision to leave the bagram air force base, which was a protected, very sophisticated air force base, decided they were going to do the evacuation from the middle of the city in kabul, 4 million people, with one airway, and the truth is, this guy that was just

testifying is mina's limbs, he has had 44 surgeries, credible information of a potential suicide bomber, they actually had credible information, and they identified him, they had what they called, assured their leaders of the ease of fire, what do you call them, the m1 ten sniper guy, ready, and they did not get an answer. half of new york city has more of an ability to shoot someone then we do in a war, in the theater of war, in afghanistan, and that is the sad part of all of this. you have 13 gold star families, 170 afghans who were killed, as a result of an act that i didn't have to happen. they could have stopped the suicide bomber, but they created the chaos, they picked the setting, and this guy donahue was a two star general, remember seeing him, the last guy to go

on that c-130 or whatever it was, nobody is accountable, nobody is answerable, they make donahue a three-star general at fort bragg where this year i hear there is something like 109 people in the military who are dead, either from fentanyl, murder, suicide. it's a disaster. there is no accountability. and the sad part is, if they had rules of engagement, they could have taken it out and prevented it. >> greg: last word to you, harold. >> harold: wars are messy. my prayers go out to the sergeant, marines are just taylor. i think if you were to interview any military personnel after mistakes were made, you would get testimony like this. in fact, our whole premise for going into iraq, saddam hussein possessed weapons of mass destruction was faulty, it was wrong. we have a history of making mistakes at critical times. this is not to blame anyone. this is not to suggest anyone

had the worst intentions or bad intentions. what i take from all of this -- and i don't disagree, all the things set up a table -- what do we learn from this? our posture in ukraine is essentially one of war. we are providing materials, personnel -- technology and weaponry to go after russia. we find china on the verge of perhaps invading taiwan. what have we learned from these states? the second most immediate question from a national security standpoint, if mexico cannot police its cartels, what is our military strategy to help? how do we learn from the mistakes made in afghanistan? the mistakes made in iraq? even mistakes we are making real time in ukraine? to ensure that going forward, we do not make the same mistakes. >> jeanine: the problem is we always say "lessons learned," let's make someone accountable. if you've got credible information, eyes on the target, a crowded, chaotic theater, and you can take him out, i don't need any lessons. we need a military and not a political decision. >> harold: there were mistakes

unpack the climate health. meanwhile, you know, the sign language interpreter is saying, you are lucky you are deaf. but it just shows you how easily you can spot grifters. just follow the climate change narratives fearful it is a simple way for lazy, greedy people like hillary to get on the gravy train. they realize you can say anything as long as you would drop the word climate in. no one is going to come at you, even though what she said exceeds mental illness. to actually look at a country where women and children and men are diane, ukraine, that has zero to do with climate. she just assumed she is in a friendly room, she can say whatever she wants. it has to do with like her trying to seize power. that is all it is, you know, why don't you try to alleviate the real suffering instead of fabricating an imaginary threat that diverse, i guess, the people you are talking to from the real misery, which is caused by war. >> jesse: or just say the right words. you got climate, mental health, women, what more do you need,

right, sandra? >> sandra: i mean, i can think of a million ways why these same women are the victims of climate change. democrats are telling them their future is doomed, when asked of the question, more than half of them say humanity is doomed, almost 40% of young people say they are hesitant about having children. owhy bring children him into an even grimmer future? that is incredibly, and i took notes while we were listening to kamala. what about schools know my children locked down in schools and the pandemic. have you seen the reusable bags they are handing out? i mean, and i'm sure you have all read about, you throw those away in a landfill they live 2,000 years to a plastic bag that can biodegrade -- go yeah, there handing them out because they jump before thinking. >> jesse: is that why women are affected more by climate

lady, presenting the women of courage award to 11 recipients from around the world, during a ceremony at the white house. including a transgender woman. judge, you seem to not be able to hold back. your reaction to the first lady presenting a biological male from argentina with an award for women on international women's day? >> jeanine: you know, i could be wrong, but i think this is cultural appropriation. i think they are basically saying that men who want to become women are better at being women then women are. they are you racing, they are canceling women, and how sad at the biden administration on international women's day actually has to find someone with a male organ to be a woman and celebrate that person as a woman, and on the same day the u.s. came out saying that trans women can compete in the powerlifting. which is an outrage.

they are basically canceling women, and i don't know who else was honored. i heard leah thomas was honored. i heard rachel levine was honored. what about real women. why is it they are looking at real women as not good enough, that the man who want to be women are better than we are. it is hurtful. it is offensive. it erases the dreams of many women who have worked very hard to get to certain levels in sports, and it is crazy town in this country, it really is, and i want to say, women matter, and this is politics at its worst. >> sandra: harold, what message is this sending? the internet exploded over this moment, one tweeting out "even men are better at being women then women are now?" >> harold: that is one of the points the judge is making. i may believer of freedom, whoever you want to be, you ought to be. as a father of a young daughter who plays sports, who is decent

and good at sports for her age and i hope continues to become i am not settled on the whole sports thing. i cannot quite get my arms around how it is fair to allow this kind of competition to go back and forth beer i don't know the criteria for how the awards were given. but judge, i think the questions that you raised our questions that deserve an answer. >> sandra: jesse? >> jesse: now that i think about it, i am not really surprise that men are better at being women then women. [laughter] alba rueda, she is an argentinian activist, trans, you know what she did? she did affirmative action for trans in argentina. the population of trans in argentina is .1% of the population, and she passed a law that says 1% of all government jobs have to be trans. so trans are now way over represented in the government workforce in argentina, and that

is the only reason she got the award. and i'm going to leave it at that. >> sandra: speechless. >> greg: you've got to step back and realize how artificial this compulsory acceptance has become. where did it come from? it is everywhere. it wasn't like society got together and said, you know what, let's help out these trans people. that didn't happen. that statistic is ridiculous, it is absurd, it is a combination of fear being called transphobic, and there has got to be money to be made. harold is getting at this point, which i think we all agree with, live and let live, right, will embrace that, right-wingers, libertarians want to be left alone. this is not about being evil, you must accept this and say things that aren't true to you. if you believe that is not a real woman because it is not a biological woman and it is more than a feeling, that, that all of a sudden you decide that you are a woman, why can't that i decide that i am black? what if there is a movement that just started and all of a sudden

it it was like, in sports or in pageants or wherever, suddenly, people were identifying as black, we would go, no. why is this different? where did this trickled down from? who made this decision? i am so curious -- five years ago, it was you were born this way. now you are in effect saying that is not true. gays are not biologically gay, there is no such thing as homosexuality because you are fluid, and that means one day you can be gay and the other day you cannot be gay and therefore you can take a gay child and you can surgically change them to like women or men, you can just change their biology. it's insane. >> jesse: can answer your question? there is a lot of money in these surgeries. >> greg: definitely. it's crazy. >> jesse: timeline. >> harold: we would accept --
