arthel: driving there too so close at a flea market. police say two sisters from a small texas border town crossed into northeastern mexico with a friend late last month. one of them spoke with her husband february 24. he says he could not reach her three days later and reported her missing. hello everyone walking "fox news live" i am arthel neville, hi erica cox hello everyone thank you for joining us. i am eric shawn. report of the missing woman, a

week after the armed abduction before other americans. they traveled there from south carolina, just across the border into northeast new mexico. the surveillance video you see appears to have the government forcing them back into the tr truck. two of the americans were later found dead, allegedly murdered at the hands of the mexican cartel. that now is apologizing for the kidnapping. two other americans thankfully are back safe here at home. cooks don't sign for the federal government to step in and take charge and actually do something about the situation. i can the question needs to be race how many more americans are we going to lose? something needs to be done for their needs to be accidents enough of the rhetoric. arthel: border state congresswoman debbie les of arizona joins us in a moment. but first bill is alive in texas where those three women were missing began the journey. bill, what more can you tell us?
11:02 am
>> arthel, good afternoon to you. we have learned to texas sisters both front right here where we are as well as their friend have all gone missing and mexico. they have been missing for two weeks after they crossed in late february to go sell some clothing at a flea market down there. we'll show some of their photos. take a look. 47-year-old her older sister 48-year-old marino rios and then their friend 53-year-old dora alicia. they have not been seen or heard from since the february 2024 when they first crossed into mexico. two weeks ago. you look at more photos of these women. we will explain what we know so far. pd telling us they've been in touch with the families of these women and the families right now are highly concerned these women were potentially kidnapped somewhere in mexico. they notified pd the fbi tells fox news they are aware of these

women are missing but cannot comment on the case at this moment. hemp anita's police tells they were last seen driving a green 1996 chevy silverado with texas license plates. i will explain or we know we were when this happened were take a look the women a little border town west of the mcallen area. we know they cross into mexico in the rio grande valley were heading for a city at mexico. that is southeast of the city of monterey it's about three hours south of the u.s. border. they were reportedly going there to sell clothing at a flea market. they disappeared the families had not heard from them, they have gone dark they are gone missing. texas dps is urging all texas residents do not go to mexico for any reason. it is too dangerous right now a special spring break coming up. take a listen. >> our department is urging anyone thinking about traveling to mexico especially spring breakers to avoid those areas.
11:04 am
right now it is too dangerous. with the increase in violence and kidnappings taking place in mexico but it's very important i cannot stress enough to those thinking about traveling to mexico especially for spring breakers at some one think we are preparing for in the coming weeks is for spring break to avoid those areas as much as possible. >> we are told right now mexican authorities are spearheading this investigation for the fbi is going to handle it on the u.s. side. we've talked to the state department they are aware of these three missing women. however their status in the united states is. whether they are residents of the united states or citizens of the united states. state department telling fox news they are aware of reports they are citizens but they cannot confirm that at this point in time. right now three women missing for two weeks, gone dark and mexico guys will send back to you. >> it's sad either way you slice

it. bill melugin live in penitas, texas, thank you. sue furthermore mix sing and mexico than you think hundreds each year the number of our fellow citizens have disappeared there is now growing. arizona congresswoman debbie lesko joins us. councilman welcome. does it surprise you the cartels have past that has supposedly been off limits when you think about this? bucks unfortunately it does not surprise me. i've gone down to the border numerous times the customs and border patrol officers that are on the ground say the mexican cartel is totally in charge of the border and the border ci cities. they either allow people to cross the border if they are getting paid, or trading girls for trafficking. or they kill them. obviously it's very dangerous to cross over into the mexican

border and some of these border cities. i agree with the texas officials who say do not travel to texas. i'm sorry don't travel to mexico right now from texas or from arizona. it is just too dangerous. as you said there's reported at least 550 americans that are still missing that went on to mexico and they are missing. the mexican citizens themselves there's over 112,000 mexican citizens that have just disappeared. they are missing. i believe president biden and the democrat border policies are incentivizing millions and millions of people from all over the world to come across our southern border. that is part of the problem. he it's basically paying the cartels. his policies are making money
11:07 am
for the cartels it is a sad state of affairs. >> dimension is number 12020 there were 324 americans mis missing. if we put this up now will show you this. americans missing back in 2020 that went up now as you said to 550 americans were missing. the stories are heart-wrenching. these are three of the women missing now. according to the "washington post" today, the parents of missing americans they say they do not have enough information or get enough information. let me read you, this is the parents of a 17 year old from houston saying quotes they said they could not do absolutely anything, they do not intervene and mexico issues. now we realize this is a terrible live. the parents of a 21-year-old son, they did pay a ransom. they said quote there was no movement there is just diplomatic paperwork.
11:08 am
she also contact the fbi but they made no progress on the case. you have parents across this country whose loved ones whose kids have gone down to mexico and disappeared. how widespread in this and what more can invited administration do to put pressure on the mexico 30 city authorities to try to get some missing americans back if they are not sadly already killed? talk so well, first of all president invited me too change his policies to secure the border. his policies so far have been an open border policy. and then when he says he's doing more things to secure the border, no he is not. but he is doing is allowing more people to come into our country when he says i will allow 38 more thousand people a month to come in illegally. that is not solving the border crisis problem. it is just increasing more people crossing the border plus the illegals. as you know we have almost
11:09 am
5 million people that we know that have illegally cross the southern border. another one point to known god always caught on camera or sensors but were never caught. and so it is really his policies that are leading to this problem. i totally blame the mexican drug cartels but biden's policies of incentivizing illegals to flood here 165 different countries throughout the world is what is causing this problem. and as you can see from the four that were missing, two were killed, two were recovered. our administration can do more to force the mexican government to cooperate. i would assume the mexican government would want to get their act together and keep american safety. otherwise tourism is going to down the tubes for quickset is for sure. they ministration point effect numbers are down 40%, also

saving a policies of a couple weeks ago would immediately deport people seeking asylum if they do not apply in a third country. do you think any of these policies are now getting stricter on will have an effect? do you think this will help and try and ease this? or do you think some in congress have talked about military action against the cartels, would you support that to get tougher on the cartels if they are a national security threat which they arch our country. >> biden does what he actually proposes he's going to do it which would say you are claiming asylum you are in a safe third country don't come in. that is what trump did it was the remaining mexico policy basically. but i will believe it when i see it. talk to yuma arizona officials they had been promised for a bout a year now that biden was going to close the gaps in the border fence and they haven't. it is very frustrating.
11:11 am
>> i'm sorry to interrupt but there are reports they are doing that. and then cap they are actually building a fence the administration is doing that now. but finally before we go, your advice to fellow americans about traveling to mexico? i mean the state apartment says six states totally off limits. i mean mexico city and other tourist areas have kidnapping and crime rate that is a state department saying that what is your advice to those who may be planning a trip across the border? x i certainly would not travel to mexico for vacation. and i would recommend all u.s. citizens do not do so until the mexican government takes control of the mexican cartels and the corruption that goes on in the government which that is been going on for years. i would recommend against traveling to mexico. eric: and said go to arizona scottsdale is beautiful.

go up to sedona it's a beautiful state congresswoman, the great state of arizona, thank you. >> thank you. >> arthel. >> or eric, thank you. well, while waiting for gop budget president biden is facing a growing number of questions on his budget proposal. he unveiled thursday. it calls for nearly $7 trillion in new spending which includes 886 billion for national defense spending. meantime the february jobs report shows a hotter than expected 311,000 jobs added. raising fears of more fed rate hikes to cool down the economy. lucas tomlinson's live at the white house. lucas, it seems that good news always comes with conditions. >> that is right. think it depends which side of the isle you're looking at this thing from, arthel. the trillions in new spending the wall street journal reports will grow the national debt by

one from spreading uncontrollably in the future. >> this should be an easy vote because this is just about science progress and it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, quacks like a duck, it's probably a duck. folks, this screams like a duck. >> this is certainly a different posture for democrats in relation to 2021 when they really refused to bring this bill which is sponsored by republican senator josh hawley to the floor. it has been a point of contention also between u.s. intelligence officials who were at odds about whether this virus originated from a lab in wuhan or was passed down from an animal possibly from a wet market in wuhan. a lot of this really came to a head earlier this week after former cdc director robert redfield told lawmakers that dr. fauci denied him access to internal conversations about the origin because he sides with the

lab leak theory. dr. fauci denies the accusation. >> i did not put them or take them off. it is really disturbing that in a public hearing of a congressional hearing he makes an accusatory statement that has no basis whatsoever in reality. >> when everything is all said and done if president biden does sign this bill i will have 90 days to declassify and release the information that folks are looking for in terms of the origins of covid-19, erica. >> we should all know everything, charles thank you. >> charles and eric florida governor desantis is in iowa, he was there yesterday to promote his new book. but political spectators are reading between the lines it is first visit to the early nominating state is generating a lot of buzz about a possible run
