from overhead, landed in front of our car, there was a mad dash to reverse the car, then the second bomb landed next on the car. this one knocked me out. for a while, i know i got shrapnel in a eye and a match-box size in my throat, at that point, i was in this car blacked out, i saw my daughter. my daughters came to me and brought me back and said, as clear as anything, daddy, you have to get out of the car. and i came back, i opened my eyes, and by instinct i crawled toward outside of the car, i got a couple steps out a third bomb hit the car itself. that was one that gave me all other injuries that i have i lost my right leg, my lleft moot foot most of my left-hand. i lay there, on fire for a

time, if not for support that ukraine is getting. that country could fall. if that country fell who knows what happens next. there is a debate about what is going on. i think there is evil here in a sense we've not seen in a long time, evil if not stooped stopped there could go further. ukranians are fighting hard for their country, they believe in ex country. >> what you were in ukraine, you did a number of stories from ukraine, you saw all of the hell around you, and buildings destroyed and people suffering. did you think to yourself, wow, these people, they didn't ask for this or invade russia, they were

invaded and now russia is trying to take out the entire country. did anything like that cross your mind. >> every day, i have covered wars for last 15 years or so, every time in a war zone you see people caught up in middle. it is the families, the children, the women, the schools that are taken away, they are lost, you i would see the children, leaving their homes. trying to flood out, about 5 million in first couple weeks, holding what they could in their hands one toy to carry, one bag with their belongings, you wonder if you had a day or two to leave your homes, what would you bring? and massive people, 30 miles of cars tries too get out with families. it is very -- it terrible to see that you have to think that. it's part of the job we do, we sign up. but hard every time.
