democrats. kate mitchell donated $50,000 to hillary clinton's 2016 presidential campaign and staglin owns an estate near nancy pelosi's home and made several donations to democrats totaling $150,000. mary miller did not donate but served for obama at the treasury department. only member of the silicon valley bank with prior investment banking experience is tom king who previously served as ceo of barclays. donations to social causes, sbv donated to groups tied to black lives matter. it is not the only bank that went under to make similar donations, signature bank donated to the democratic party. only $750,000 was given to the

help in trying to curb violence going on in our city and across the nation. >> ashley: what is going on in your city? how bad is the crime? >> well, it is at historic proportions. two years ago, i believe we reached historic level of homeless -- trying to find a solution to minimize it for this year. >> ashley: do you have any idea what the solution would be? >> everyone has their own solution. i have my own. all we can do is work together to see which is the best. right now i don't think we have a grip on this problem, we will do everything we can. >> ashley: do you think the city is doing anything to tighten up what is happening and get a handle on crime. >> they are doing something and coming up with more innovative ways, i don't feel enough is being done, there is not a great

sense of urgency and i'm embarrassed to see my city at the top. >> ashley: why do you show up to the sites? you are holding up signs, making yourself apparent you are there and it is apparent what you are protesting. why do you do that? >> my goal is community engagement. i think the community is part of the solution. my goal is to go out and try to call to the community to be part of the solution. i go out to highlight unfortunate demise of someone and inform the community they have to be a solution to the problem. >> ashley: has the city or anyone in outreach reached out to you after seeing you holdup the signs, has anyone said anything to you? >> yes, i've spoken to elected officials, not necessarily

outside the event. reports are some made their way into the building, pray for peace and safety for all involved. rioters painted graffiti on the side of the auditorium. one officer was injured. uc davis releasing statement, tonight's event organized by turning point, registered student organization occurred with minor incident. one officer received minor injury and two taken to jail for allegedly painting graffiti on uc davis. security planning allowed the students to successfully hold their event. here is how charlie kirk reacted last night. >> i don't know if you saw, they broke windows, the terrorists did outside, people had things thrown at them, the whole place was spraypainted.

removed. if it isn't removed, they can take it to the board of education, the board of education has to make a finding. everybody knows how that local board will vote and publish the opinion. if they continue to keep the material within the school system, the parent gets the opportunity on opt out and it becomes a political question as to whether or not that school board represents value of local parents and local teachers. >> todd: then it is an issue for voters, who is on the other side of this argument? who is fighting to put materials in schools and keep materials there? >> well, this has been something we keep seeing coming from our local and statewide departments of education and it seems as if our current governor's administration seems to

repetitively have these types of guidances that this is the direction our school system should go. that is one. then there is a group that has continually pushed agendas that we think are not appropriate now for me, my children at one time, now my grandchildren. it is very difficult when you have an administration that continually pushes this type of agenda. >> todd: this issue extending way beyond kentucky and reaching every state in our union. why has there been a push to put the materials in our schools because i can tell you, when i was in school, there were no books that detailed the perian acts, it was not there, why there now? >> it seems to be a change that a certain segment of our

from a sniper who wanted to engage the he didn't get the clearance to do that when he knew that that was going to happen. complete dereliction of duty all the way from the top through the ranks of our military right now. >> todd: yet, the white house said this was quote environmentally unsound. you hear the spokesperson in lucas' piece say this was unsafe and unprofessional. that's it? that's the extent of the white house response? >> well, yeah. heaven forbid they dump fuel somewhere. they are in the middle of a war zone. the black sea is just south of ukraine and just west of russia. so you have got all sorts of military activity going on there. and, again, congress doesn't get this information. we need to know -- congress needs to know if we are flying drone flights in the black sea in a war zone very close to a war zone, what is the mission and purpose there? so i hope that the biden administration, the department of defense plans on briefing

congress now that one of our drones has been basically taken out by a russian fighter jet. one, what is our military response going to be and, two, what is the mission and purpose of those surveillance flights and/or if these are armed drones. what's going on there and what decisions is the biden and white house making without the authorization from congress? >> ashley: what do you think biden should do in response? >> well, first of all, i would like to know all of the facts and all of the information. that's why congress should get -- i'm sure some of this is classified. we should get a classified briefing on this. and so why we are flying these drone flights in the black sea. >> todd: meantime, residents in your state, in the florida keys specifically getting fed up with the rusty migrant boats piling up on their property and littering the shores and cleaning up these boats not sheep. some reports say removals could cost up to $100,000 per vessel. yet another example, congressman, every state is a border state a in the joe biden

border crisis; isn't that right? >> another crisis created by joe biden and his administration that is completely avoidable by enforcing current federal laws as relates to immigration. and now even here in florida we are seeing all these derelict boats show up migrants from haiti, cuba showing up on our land and they know they can come here because of joe biden's weak immigration policies and complete failure to enforce our current immigrations. >> ashley: i do want to turn to this, you are proposing new legislation to install weapons lockers within the capital building which would allow lawmakers to carry weapons for self-protection while going to and from capitol hill. have you had bipartisan support from this? >> well, not yet, i doubt the democrats want to admit that d.c. is a crime-ridden city run by democrats. i had a staffer who works for me who was mugged right outside her house. she typically would carry pepper spray but you can't carry pepper

spray into the capitol. so we have got to have some avenue for law-abiding citizen to be able to protect themselves when they are walking to and from work that work in our federal office buildings. they are not permitted to bring weapons in even if they have a conceal carry permit in d.c. allow them to have locker space to walk to protect themselves in one of the most crime ridden cities in the entire united states so they can protect themselves and put the put the snuff lockers and get it on their way out and not be victims of these crimes in d.c. because they will be able to defend themselves. >> todd: i'm looking at this through your lens. you are a pretty tough guy, right? are you scared to walk the streets of d.c.? >> i have got a d.c. conceal carry permit. i went and got my maryland d.c. permit when we have stuff in maryland. i carry here in florida. i have a conceal carry permit in florida. fortunately for members of congress, we can carry on federal grounds but our staff cannot because they are not
