way that they handle the beginning and even before the ukrainian war started to now. the biden administration, general milley and the dod continue to play patty-cake with people who are wanting to go to war. that will never work out in our favor. we have to show them that we mean business. >> ashley: jonathan i want to talk about general milley for a second. are you confident enough in him when he said there is probably not a lot to recover, frankly, when it comes to russia retreatment into black sea? >> it really depends. we recovered, you know, for instance with the chinese balloon that we shot down, there is intelligence to retreat from this type of stuff even when it is mangled to some extent. if russia was able to get there, they might be able to get intelligence off of it, but the reality is these drones, these q9 reaper drones, we've had several shut down over afghanistan in a couple of other

places. i'm sure that the technology to some extent is out there but it is still, it goes to the same point i was making before, why isn't the united states rushing there to get there and to get potential technology back? why do they have to make it sound like it's no big deal or it's destroyed? i find that unacceptable. >> todd: as you mention the more aggressive ru kits with rhetoric and quite frankly their actions, the biden administration from the top on down becomes in their rhetoric going forward. concerning is that to you not just with russia like you mentioned in the first answer but the message that we send to the entire world community? >> well come i think after afghanistan the failed evacuation of our troops there and american citizens and those loyal to us, you saw a complete turnaround in the way not just our allies or enemies

but also where our allies deal with us because they know they can't expect us to have her back in many ways. i think china, russia, iran, all of these different groups is they see us acting and reacting in the way that we do come as you put it in a fashion, they will push further and further. in certain cases like with the balloons over the united states, they will actually come over our territories and start pushing to see what our responses will be. it is very dangerous for the united states. >> ashley: let's switch gears to china. another concern a report from the head of u.s. air force don't make space, conduct advanced communications surveillance and recognizance, satellites and chs over 700 satellites in orbit. in 347 are people's liberation

army, isr platforms running up the goal, radar and radio frequency capabilities, which track the joint force worldwide. jonathan, what in the world are they preparing for? >> we have much of the same thing up there. a lot of the intelligence gathering that you used to see from sr 71 and high-flying aircraft, it is now done from satellites. whether it is human collection where we are actually listening to conversations from satellites or whether it is looking down and trying to find -- or even looking at other satellites that may be out there. this is where the game has gone. i cannot understand is if russia is preparing to shoot down other satellites because if you shoot a satellite in space, it is going to cause a tremendous amount of debris, which will knock out even there satellites and potentially harm all of the communications around the

world. i do think what we should be concentrating on is their ability to belong to error satellites from space. that is something that is very dangerous for us because our military has become so dependent on satellite technology. >> todd: so well chinese ramping up, no doubt response to milquetoast response to russia and other bad actors on the world stage. the u.s. air force going on a woke hiring spree, hiring people top jobs focusing on di diversity, equity, and inclusio. how is this preparing the military for war, john dimmick jonathan? >> i will put it in terms that you understand, todd. when we look at news, look at fox news versus msnbc. msnbc is what the united states military has become. it is all about smoke and mirrors and make-believe, right fake news over msnbc where fox gives detailed unbiased news.

because this administration has been lying and being pathological because everybody knows the border is total chaos appear that the drug cartels have more control than we do over the border. everyone knows this administration has been consistently lying about this. who knows what the reason is. maybe they just don't want to face the issue and the easiest thing is to live. but what makes it most startling is, again, the fact that he told the truth yesterday. that should be a good thing. >> ashley: you know, i want to talk about that because ortiz directly contradicted his boss, alejandro mayorkas who constantly said they have control on the border. so what does that say about alejandro mayorkas? >> well i think it says what we all know about alejandro mayorkas is they have been deliberately lying, misleading the public not just on this issue but every issue. because they will be say these are asylum-seekers. they want people to come even though they know 90 plus percent

are not legitimate asylum-seekers. they are always pushing these false narratives. he is lying about his own agents, which border patrol chief also mentioned on the instant on horseback the whipping. so i think there is no confidence in new york from ortiz down. it is because he simply isn't doing his job, not following the law. he desecrates his own on a daily basis and makes a mockery of the agencies. it is really no respect. >> ashley: i will get to the whipping accusations in a minute. but i do have to talk about the root democrats on this field hearing. they had plane tickets ready to go and the travel was set up but the republicans are traveling to the border to attack the administration and try to score political opponents with extreme rhetoric despite having voted against the resources border personnel needed. what are they talking about there question rick is that a

fair assessment? >> that is a ridiculous assessment. they say they are trying to score political points but we have the executive branch refusing to enforce the law. they should make this a political issue because the reason the border is open is because the biden administration made a political calculus and campaigned on it to have an open border. so really, it is laughable and when we talk about resources for the border, the issue, again isn't really the resources because the biden administration isn't going to enforce the law. it doesn't matter what the resources are when they say come on into the country in which you are here, even if you commit the most serious crimes. the resources are only a small part of the issue. the issue is a refusal to enforce the law and refusal of alejandro mayorkas to take it seriously following any respect. >> ashley: as you mentioned, jonathan the border patrol chief

financial crisis is making money easy, pumping up the money supply so the economy was washed with liquidity. then, when they tried to deal with the dragon inflation, they started tightening the money supply. and they recently took cash out of the system. when you want to go to a bank and pull out your cash, the bank may not have it because the bank has less cash to oversimplify it. that's what happened silicon bank and happen signature bank peer that is what people fear it is happening first republic. for mainstream, there are legitimate concerns what happens if i go to my bank to withdraw money and have more than $250,000 there which is uninsured? will the government step in or fdic's step in when i need to pull my money out? >> todd: okay, the big question becomes now, what can the fed do to keep this from spiraling out of control? i switch that question around,

>> i want to say that it is just i'm so surprised. it is the only problem here and i wish it was. we are paying these public defenders slowly and we are paying them badly and they don't want to work for the state. the state controls this. they are using this as an excuse because they are so many problems in our justice system. our fishes, continuous catch and release program for example is horrendous. we arrest people. we release them, they have a warrant, and it just keeps going and going and going. i would literally give you a list of 100 examples. it is disgusting. >> ashley: damien you highlighted the homeless crisis and talk to you both of you about plaguing your city, let's take a look at this. >> the neighbor here is for facilitating a group of homeless people to live on our block. >> all of these children go up

and down this road. i'm the only person, we are the only people speaking up about this and saying something about this. i am compassionate! i do care. i do want everyone to be in a safe situation. i do want everyone to be in a place where they have a roof over their head. >> ashley: so commit is very obvious that you are a very compassionate about this. you are very fired up as you should be. this is your city. damien, the same question to you, what do you think of this news especially talking about the safety aspect of your city? >> well, you know, we don't have a homeless issue here in portland. what we have is a drug issue in portland. the city of portland by way of the state of oregon, it continues to facilitate measure 110, providing free needles and drug paraphernalia. we have created and when i say we, the people before i got here have created an asylum for

people who are seeking refuge to live this way of life. it is having horrible consequences. unfortunately we have an active list d.a. that is created and help facilitate this problem himself. >> ashley: damien what will some of the consequences be? because right now in oregon, only 76 of 800 people are behind bars waiting for a public defender. so, what is going to happen to the safety aspect of portland and oregon, the whole state, if they let alleged criminals out on the street? >> well, the short answer is right now you are seeing multiple businesses out of the portland area. everything from starbucks to walmart taking their business across the border to washington or into neighboring counties. what is going to happen is the need for people who are addicted

to drugs to facilitate those drugs if those stores aren't there. the only natural thing for them to do is to go into the house to make housing. the people living in these areas, unfortunately, in my neighborhood as well, we will see a rise in home break-ins, car theft, vandalism, petty crime. it will become much more dangerous for the people who lived here. >> ashley: angela, you won that social media account and you see a ton of things on a daily basis. what has the chatter been on social media? do they know about this happening yet? >> we are growing very fast as damian has highlighted the issues beautifully. the public is very aware. they are very aware of the crime emergency service are very slow to come out because of this drug addiction overdoses, emergency behavior and high-risk behavior behavior off of the streets is
