out in somewhat of a defense of donald trump, we know how donald trump feels about all of this. but i'm wondering are republicans going to come together and circle the wagon an donald trump around this or his potential other 2024 contenders are they going to remain tight lip, you know, the maga supporters on instagram, twitter are pretty upset that desantis hasn't made comment on potential arrest on tuesday. what do you think the silence or the speaking out means for this case and for the republican party as a whole? >> i think the keyword is potential. we don't know what's going to happen. if something like this happens, if there's in fact, a prosecution, we will probably hear from a lot more people including desantis who came out against the mar-a-lago raid. and they'll be, i think, plenty of time for republicans to make those decisions for themselves and i think we will possibly hear pretty universally that

this was a political decision if, in fact, it plays out as we are expecting to. it's a bit rich to hear trump supporters to hear that ron desantis rush to the defense of donald trump right now without any actual facts on the table. again, the time will probably come for that. but, look, we talked about this issue yesterday. i've been thinking about it all day. it is entirely consistent and reasonable to believe that donald trump brought this whole ordeal on himself, that he's lying about stormy daniels and also that this is a garbage political prosecution. they made judgment not to go after trump on this and for an elected democrat deep blue city da to make a decision to go for this like bang shot prosecution using this, legal theory that's unproven and untested, if you're going to prosecute a former president of the united states and potentially arrest the guy and mug shots and the whole thing and you want to indict him

the $130,000 was actual money that was used which would then violate campaign finance laws which is a very hard fact to prove. that's very difficult to prove. you also have to look at bragg and wonder what his motivation is. is he using federal money to do the investigation because then that would be tampering with an election, which election 2024 presidential election and is he getting messaging from washington, d.c. as many in washington have accused perhaps biden is behind this because biden has something to gain if, in fact, the president is indicted because he's his biggest enemy, biggest challenger when it comes to presidential election in 2024. so where is the double standard to be held, who is held accountable for that double standard? if you're going the talk election fraud or election meddling, what is this -- what are they doing here and seeing? >> donald trump he's going to go
