to russia. >> he touched down in moscow about 40 minutes ago. be in russia for at least two days. later today in the next few minutes it looks like he will be meeting one on one with russian president vladimir putin. ahead of the visit russian calling strategic part n we heard from the chinese president ahead of the visit. he put out a statement in which he said, quote: we have every reason to expect that china and russia, as fellow travelers on the journey of development and rejuvenation will make new and greater contributions to human advancement. the chinese are putting out a positive spin for putin. this trip may offer a major boost. the international criminal court issued arrest warrant for putin just last week. is he also facing enormous pressure back in russia to change tactics as the war in ukraine drags on. the white house says this visit is also all about shoring up support between russia and china as they get ready to challenge the u.s. and its allies on the global stage no question russia

happening in our own hemisphere as the chinese have picking up a lot of allies who said they are on the side of china we have completely let the chinese take over. most unreported and i think important story to america to say it's our backyard. >> steve: china and russia have been aligned for a couple years now because obviously china has been buying their russian oil and now because putin is out of bullets. he has got to have china show up. and you have got to wonder i know they talk about new world order and stuff like that. if there is going to be a new world orderly china wants to lead it. trying to stick their thumb in the face of the united states. nonetheless, bill browder is a fellow who says ultimately what this comes down to, this strategic meeting today, it's all about guns. >> putin needs this meeting from all sorts of different perspectives.

first and foremost. he needs some kind of validation that an important head of state will see him after the -- after being indicted as a war criminal by the international criminal court and the hague. but, probably, even more important, after that, is he needs weapons. russia is running out of weapons. i think more than 3500 tanks have been destroyed. arab craft have been shot down. they are running out of artillery. runsing out of drones getting shot down. lost 165,000 soldiers. so china is probably the only country that can change the complex of this war. and if they start to supply weapons in large quantities to russia, that would be really bad for ukraine and really bad for us. >> brian: yeah. if they did actually do that, they would actually isolate themselves because you've would have the european union and the u.s. start to divest themselves in a massive way as well as pull back and maybe offer sanctions. they are seeing how isolated russia is. they are also seeing. this this may be my partner.

but they are a terrible military and a terrible economy. you rather be teamed with him rather than us? the thing i do worry about is the currency. now it looks like they are trading in the chinese currency. but, also, the good news out of this is that japan says i have got to defend ourselves with doubling our defense budget. south korea says the problems we are having with japan, let's put them to bed. let's focus on china. australia says i'm going to buy those nuclear powered submarines from the u.s. because i have got to get myself a legitimate navy because i worry about china. i think a lot of our allies tired of hearing us say look out for china are now saying i get it now which i think is a big help. >> rachel: they are saying, you know, the russians are in china to or the putin and xi are together to get more weapons. we're also depleting our own weapons through this supply. through this war. >> steve: absolutely. >> rachel: xi saying i want to bring a peace to this situation.

not sure is he very sincere about that. >> brian: he has got to call zelenskyy next week. >> rachel: say i want to do it and zelenskyy seemed like he was open to it. it doesn't look like is he sincere. the point is many people saying what xi really wants is to extend this war because he knows that it distracts us, depletes our weapons. and he can continue with his war planning with taiwan. >> brian: you were right. there needs to be a program to gte raytheon all our weapon manufacturers get them 10 year contracts to refill our weapons depot. >> rachel: or help end the war. >> brian: you can't end the war unless they get out of the country. they would say you are reinforcing them getting 17% ever the country. they have as much as 25% of the country. you saw what they interpreted from crimea. i will take crimea. nothing will happen. take parts of georgia and nothing will happen. oh i think i will take all of ukraine and then the world finally reacted. >> steve: we know why putin wanted the meeting.

for. listen to her on wednesday and then we will tell you what she said a couple years ago. i have been begging this department to give the mission what it deserves in terms of police presence. all year long. and everybody told time and time and time again there are no officers that we can send to mission i see numbers protecting shoppers, it hurts. and i feel betrayed by the department. i feel betrayed by the mayor. i feel betrayed by the priorities of this city. >> brian: really the people who gave us smash and grab feel betrayed and this woman feels betrayed. there is not enough police officers? go back to 2020 and find out what hillary ronan thought in august? she said this, tweeted i want to make it clear that i believe strongly in defunding police and reducing the number of officers on our force and for decades we have had imbalance on our city's budget with hundreds of millions

before noon that vehicle had been pushed off the bridge. the conditions were getting bad. white-out conditions, snow coming down bad. as you can see the road conditions were in poor condition. i backed off from the bridge just to provide early warning. my lights for my troopers and the people that were in the vehicle on the opposite side of a bridge which you couldn't see. while i was doing that. unbuckled my seat belt to work on a crash report because i was parked on the shoulder of the road and all of a sudden it was within minutes upon my arrival i heard the loudest most this one russ sound i ever heard in my life. when that sound and i heard i was thrown forward towards my windshield i remember possibly blacking out for a millisecond, falling back in my seat, dazed, confused. i remember looking out my left window and i saw a semi and that the moment i realize i had just been hit by a semi. i had pains in my back, my head,

my leg. i couldn't find the radio to call for help. i used my radio on my duty belt to let them know i had been hit. i need an ambulance. the people i was trying to protect my trooper came running to my location across that bridge, couldn't get the doors it open to get to me. i had to roll the window down and i remember him saying hey, sarge, are you okay? i said i don't know. i have quote niece pains in my back. he said sarge we have got to get you out of here no we better wait for an ambulance. i'm worried about the injuries sarge we have got to get you out of here a third time me saying think said there. sarge there is a semi above you we have got to get you out of the vehicle. as i looked closer i could see that semi-truck literally hang not guilty air about 5 feet from my head. he pulled me out. i had to crawl through the window. got me pulled out. got me to an ambulance off the interstate and one of the great things of the story and really i'm not the big part of the story because what god did, he saved my life in that moment i

was laying on that stretcher. everything, the fear started coming out. i could be dying. i could have internal injuries. i remember looking up at the gray sky it was full because of the snow. and the sun started to shine just prying to getting in the ambulance. it was at that moment i realized god had a message and that message was he was with me. i can't tell you how i experienced his grace and his love, went to a hospital, they started doing all the checks that they do, prodding me, poking me and a few hours later, the docks said you can take that collar off your neck, chris, we can't find any major injuries. >> rachel: sergeant, that indeed sounds like a miracle. i'm sure it's life-changing for you and for everyone involved. we're so grateful that you are here with us this morning, thank you. >> rachel: reminder not just that your life was changed about what our state troopers every

bailout even if taxpayer bailout prepare for it. and state very clearly. state very, very clearly they are not going to go under. not going to do it i know it's not popular. >> steve: about a local business we know in new jersey who has his big account at a regional bank. regional bank called him and said, listen, i know there is a lot of stuff in the news, i just want you to know that we can protect your assets up to $150 million that's not the fdic that's just what the bank has, the problem for a lot of americans right now with the svb and signature they changed the rules because they guaranteed any account in those banks now people at a regular bank are going are mine protected through the roof? and the answer is no. >> there is a coalition of banks, mid size banks that say please extent fdic protection to all deposits above $250,000. the bank that you are talking

about, $150 million worth of assets, okay. other banks are in the same situation. they have got a ton of money in assets. the trouble is those assets are worth less. because they invested in whatever and the value of those investments have come down. depositors get the impression that money is not safe. they take the money out there. is a run on bank, deposits come down and you are forced to come in. >> rachel: stop all this spending and get inflation down. stop all the government spending that would stop a lot of it. >> stuart: that's what we should have done a year ago. >> brian: talk about what is happening in france real quick. protests after protests nonstop because emmanuel macron on his own raised the retirement age by two years. >> stuart: whoopi do. >> brian: no confidence vote. he did the responsible thing here. we have to raise the retirement age here but no one has the guts to do it. >> stuart: social security is running out of money. it needs to be saved. how are you going to do it? there is two ways, basically. raise the retirement age
