and that's what this was all about. >> as xi departed moscow earlier today he told putin, quote: change is coming that hasn't happened in 100 years and we are driving this change together. please take care, dear friend. the white house says it's monitoring whether china is going to send weapons to russia. kirby says the u.s. has seen no indication china is about to provide lethal weapons. though he also says if china wants to play constructive role here in the conflict, they should tell russia to pull its troops from ukraine. here in washington, secretary of state antony blinken will be in front of two se committees toda. officially these are hearings about the budget request for the state department but senators can ask whatever they want. absolutely touch on this subject. back to you guys. >> brian: thanks so much, rich. the secretary of state got to understand the reason is he going to feel a lot of pressure today is because china is everywhere. and a lot of it is because we are not. central and south america, china's presence is everywhere. what is happening in the middle

east? they are beginning to negotiated with all our so-called allies in the area. even though they have questionable governments in the uae and saudi arabia. they traditionally been in our camp. we have allowed others to move. in isolating israel. forcing them to act in many respects and then when you look at what is happening in china and russia. i get it. part of the reason why this works now because vladimir putin admits he is a junior partner. what china should realize and they probably do is they have a shell of a military and they bore to experience an offensive on the ukraine side, which could devastate vladimir putin and his troops unless china gets involved. the thing that would be concerning and reconfigure the entire west is if china does provide lethal weapons and as lindsey graham said on our couch yesterday, the european union needs a strategy of disinvestment in china almost immediately if they are to make moves like that. because they need the market. >> ainsley: blinken said if they're really committed to a cease-fire between ukraine and

china. then they would have peace talks or engage in peace talks with zelenskyy. that they should get ukraine involved. he is slamming china for providing diplomatic cover for putin. he is over there. he is meeting with putin. and the optics of that don't look good. >> steve: sure. >> brian: days after being named a war criminal warrants out for his arrest. >> steve: one of the things that has bothered us for the longest time china has been very opaque when it comes to exactly what was going down in the wuhan area a couple years ago when that -- the virus that killed 7 million people around the world started to take hold. so, there's this pbs special tonight over on your pbs channel. and the focus of it is dr. fauci. we have got a clip from tonight's show that shows that there were concerns a cure pell years ago whether or not it was a lab leak. remember, the u.s. energy

department, the fbi, they both say in this country it was a lab leak. there are other people who say it was not in the intel community. here is dr. fauci himself reacting to a question about it and notice his reaction he laughs there are a number of experiments that need to be done on viruses. how are you going to know whether or not they are capable of infecting humans unless you examine them. rand paul was insidiously throwing into his little questions that the work that was done in the wuhan lab funded by a small grant from nih, a strong implication that that created a virus that made covid. it would be molecularly impossible for them to turn it into sars co-v 2.

>> ainsley: it is a victory for faith joe kennedy lost his job as a high school football coach back in 201 after praying with his team. sometimes just alone out on the field. he took that fight all the way to the supreme court and he won. now, the washington state school that fired him will pay him $1.7 million and offer him his job back. kennedy is out with a new book. it's called average joe. and he joins us now. it's amazing. an average joe, a football coach, has changed really praying sports for every family around the country. how do you feel knowing that the school board voted unanimously

to give you the 1.7 million and they are offering your job back? >> i'm just glad that that part is over. i wish i could say, you know, that money went into my pocket. but that's all lawyer stuff. i don't see a dime of that. but i'm really excited that i have been reinstated last week. i got my papers. i done all my work. just waiting to see what day we go back to the field now. >> ainsley: joe, i think you have been living in florida for the past five or six years now. do you want to go back to a school that didn't want you there? >> that's a really hard decision to go through. i have been on the fence back and forth. but it's really the principle of it. i have to go back even if it's just for whatever the season looks like, day, a month, a week. i will go back just to show everybody that hey, everything is good in bremerton. our program is awesome.

hopefully we will be able to move on from this. >> ainsley: sometimes the voices of critics much louder than the people in your corner. how do you feel about your community there do you feel like you have more supporters. >> i think. so i think there were tons of supporters. always have one or two real big mouths that have nothing good to see and are just miserable people. everybody else, i would say it's a small community. everybody knows everybody. the great thing about that is i want went to high school with these guys. i have been coaching their kids for years. their kids are grown up. i have been part of their family for, you know, for years now. this is just going back home to where my friends, my family, my kids, my grandkids are there. so it's not a big move for us. >> ainsley: yeah. that's all you need, your family and surrounded by the people who do love you. have you had anyone come up to you and say, you know, i was a naysayer. i was one of those who said you shouldn't be praying in front of the team or out of school and then god changed my life and i agree with you now. >> i have ha whole bunch of people, especially at the

country what you do find out somebody has died and ons died or property is in foreclosure or you leave the property vacant for a period of time because you have to travel across the country for medical reasons or whatever. and you find somebody has moved. in you call the police, the police come out and the squatters say hey, we belong here. they can wave a phony lease in front of you have and say we have every right to be here. the police is looking for the owner and squatter and says we can't do anything about it without a court order. the property owner has to go to court. and that can take a very long time. and in the meantime, the squatter can stay in the property. >> steve: well, you know, the part you just described is all heart-breaking. but the part you just described where the squatters the cops come in. you have the legal homeowner and squatters and you say they wave a phony lease or something like that, isn't it against the law to present a document as real in front of a cop hey i own. this see right here?

i printed it up right over there. >> of course it's against the law. against the law to break into somebody's hoping in the first place. these squatters don't care about the law well, because they are not going to be prosecuted. they are just low level criminals. right? hey i have free rent for a period of time. >> steve: so, and you kind of touched on this. sometimes -- i know you lived out on the west coast for a while. and this happened to a property near you, right? >> absolutely right. i used to live in a town home. and i rented it out and my tenant called me up and said jim, there is something going on here. there is somebody living next door to me in the attached unit that doesn't seem to belong here. indeed he was right. the owner had died. the bank put the property in foreclosure. and there were people that checked the property records to see he when property goes into foreclosure and they squatters moved. in and it took us a while but eventually we got the squatters out. it's a problem that can happen

anywhere and can happen to anyone. >> steve: darth la young has been trying to get a squatter out. darth to you that la, good morning to you. >> good morning a squatter was living in your mother's apartments. you discovered it. one of the neighbors said there was a shooting in the neighborhood. you went to investigate. you went to open your mom's apartment and somebody changed the keys. >> changed the lock. actually a two flat i called the police to have break and put them out. the police situation was this is a civil matter. we can't do anything. they did ask me to provide proof that i owned the property, which i did. the squatter did not produce a lease nor any rent receipts. and then he told us that he was a professional squatter and he had rights and he knew what his rights were. >> steve: that's crazy.

i know you have gone to court four times. you had the lights and gas shut off there paris hilton them back on. >> steve: he admitted he was a professional squatter. >> yes. in the court when we talked to the judge he said well, i have offered to pay her rent. and the judge asked him well, who are you paying rent to? he said no one. but i offered to pay. >> steve: it's just not fair. what are you going to do? >> well, i have got to continue with the court system because the state of illinois how they handle it a squatter is considered to be a tenant and you have to go through the legal process. >> steve: that's exactly what jim was talking about. it is a major problem. we thank you for joining us darthula and jim, something has got to be done. it's just too complicated once somebody sets up shop in your house. thank you, both. >> you are welcome. what i think i'm going to try and do is talk to a legislator to start talking about creating a law for squatters and not just
