11:00 pm
when we are together, we drive these changes. i agree. take care of yourself, your friend, please. changes that haven't taken place in a hundred years. there's speaking about american preeminence in the world. the u.s. dollar, trade routes to peace for the most part that we've guaranteed. it's all gone. thanks. this war in joe biden. that's it for us tonight. sorry, that was depressing. we'll see tomorrow. have a great night, sean. hey, tucker. by the way, i have a group of people here. what do you want to say? to tucker? i have friends on . here you go . thank you. so welcome to "hannity". yes. we're back with a live audience . and tonight, kevin o'leary, he's going to be here tonight to discuss the latest interest rate hike in the country. and , of course, the sorry state of joe biden's economy. plus, it is only wednesday, but are cognitively impaired. commander in chief has already
11:01 pm
managed to embarrass himself. oh, probably about a half a dozen times. he's got all of the low lights straight ahead. and we have a really, really big announcement at the end of the show. now, i told the audience here they are not allowed text it out, tweeted out to any social media how on a scale of one to ten , how good is the announcement? all right. but tonight, our top story. as you might have noticed, former president trump was not indicted today. in fact, this morning's grand jury proceeding in new york city, they were canceled. now, according to fox news.com, there is now major dissension at the d.a.'s office, with many speaking out against alvin bragg's political schrade. and get this one source telling fox news that bragge is having trouble convincing a grand jury on potential charges because of the weakness of the case. and what a spectacular about them.
11:02 pm
think about this. the grand jurors, the defense does not get a say in a grand jury proceeding. nothing. so in other words, they have zero opportunity to present their side at all. that's where you get the same . indict a ham sandwich. right. all right. so make no mistake, this is a pathetically weak case. maybe the weakest, most convolute case ever brought before a grand jury. and a quick reminder, by the way, this is alvin bragg campaigning on a promise to go after one man, trump, one company, the trump company and one family. the trump family. >> watch. a lot of people are wondering, whoever has this job, are they going to convict donald trump? >> that that is the number one issue. i'm the candidate in3 4 f1 .
11:03 pm
we sued the trump administration over a hundred times. be hard to argue that the best be the most important, most high profile case. and i've seen them up front and seen the lawlessness that he can do. can you believe it should happen? i believe we have to hold them accountable. >> what you heard there, that is not justice. that is a promise of a political persecution. and here is what bragge is trying to do. listen very carefully. he wants to take what is a simple misdemeanor case over a mislabel transaction that is two years outside of the statute of limitations. then wrap it up to a chargeable felony by by tying in a rarely charged campaign finance violation. that so many other people looked at and passed on , all because of a completely legal nondisclosure agreement. an nda from seven years ago. now, i'd like to know how many vendors might be in the manhattan d.a.'s office
11:04 pm
even after the years, even the years before i got into office. now, to make matters worse, the case depends on testimony from a convicted felon, a tax cheat and admitted and notorious liar by the name of michael cohen. he is the d, a star witness, but don't take it from me. here is michael cohen's former legal adviser, bob costello. last night right here on this show, during that first two hour meeting, michael cohen, who , as i said , before ,was pacing back and forth, which suddenly stop in the middle of whatever he was talking about, and turn and point his finger at us . and say, i want you guys to understand. i will do whatever i have to do . i will never spend a day in jail. he said that at least 10 to 20 times during that two hour period, it was it was a bizarre mantra, but it made clear to us that michael cohen was saying, i will lie, cheat, steal, shoot someone. i will never spend a day in
11:05 pm
jail. well, what happened? he did spend more than a day in jail. and who does he blame? not himself, even though counts one through seven related to times that before he even met donald trump. so we blames donald trump. >> so will you believe the admitted liar or are you going to believe that gentleman who is not a felon? and that's not all. according to justin news.com, and john solomon, a memo from 2019 reveals that cohen told his attorneys that he, quote, had no information against donald trump. but now cohen is telling a much different story. so do you trust michael cohen then? do you trust him? now? do you believe him now? do you believe him? then he admitted that he lied in a court of law and he pled guilty. so that's because that's that is what the jury is going to have to answer. now, it's pretty baffling right now, especially when you consider that alvin is famous for handing out plea deals like candy, including reduce
11:06 pm
charges, get this for, robbers, other violent felons and offenders, in fact, bragged previously reduced 52% of every felony case to a misdemeanor, including many that were caught on tape on camera. in other words, a slam dunk conviction. in contrast, if trump is charged, it would be the first and the only case that frank has ramped up from misdemeanor to a felony that we know. this seems pretty risky for mr. bragg, given that he only gets a conviction and about half the felony cases that he actually tries now. 49% of the time, if he charges somebody has a trial, he loses 49% of the time. it is one of the lowest conviction rates in the entire us and seventeen points lower than the last day. brad , clearly i must like to lose anyway and keep in on campaign finance violations are typically charged at the federal level, but both
11:07 pm
the doj, doj, the fec declined to bring any charges against trump in 2018, a lawyer representing michael cohen issued this letter to the fec, quote, in a private transaction in 2016 before the u.s. presidential election, mr. cohn used his own personal funds to facilitate a payment of one hundred and thirty thousand to miss stephanie clifford. neither the trump organization nor the trump campaign was a party to the transaction with miss clifford. now bragg is trying to prove just the opposite, despite this clear exculpatory evidence. so why is bragge dedicating all this time, all these resources ,millions of tax dollars to this convoluted legal case? i can't answer that in america. justice is supposed to be blind in america. prosecutors are supposed to investigate crimes, not people. show me the man. i'll show you the crime.
11:08 pm
that was the official or unofficial motto of the former soviet union and stalin, not the u.s.. but apparently that's news album breg. and still, it's no longer certain that trump will even be charged. the winds are changing rapidly and sources, by the way, telling fox news, quote, there remains a real chance that bragg does not choose to indict the former president . all right. joining us now, let's give a warm audience welcome to president trump's attorney in this case, joe tacopina. joins us from and also joining us , former fcc chairman francis brad . welcome to you as well. let me start with this, because this is important. when's the last time you've heard from the d.a.? i mean, susan neckless, mike spoken a week ago or so. i mean, they don't keep us up to date all the stuff we're or in the loop, if you will . now, it's pretty unusual for a grand jury proceeding to be canceled like it was today. sure. i mean, we're speculating, but
11:09 pm
it's pretty rare. it does happen occasionally. it may be rescheduled tomorrow. we don't know. do you know who the last witness is ? no. again, this is the grand jury proceeding is proceeding. it's not a joint proceeding. it's something that they use as a mechanism to bring a charge. it's a formality for the most part. but but we don't know what's going on . but i can tell you there appears to be chaos in that office right now, as there should be , because the manhattan district attorney's office was once the pinnacle of prosecutor's office in this country. now, it's something that's being used as a political tool . and when i see the justice system and a prosecutor's office being use to weaponizes the justice system against an individual, it makes me sick to my stomach. as a former prosecutor, i could never have imagined this all. write this letter that i have here, a copy of this letter. this is the fec letter. you have seen this letter just today. it came today for us . anyway, we got our hands on today. so it's a bombshell. okay, now i read it and to me it's as exculpates as any
11:10 pm
lawyer would ever want, right? absolutely. i mean, it's michael cohen relating to a federal authority, another federal authority for which it is a felony to lie to . okay, it's a federal offense to lodge with federal authorities. so he doesn't have to say he committed another felony for which he was not for which he was not prosecuted for, or he's going to say this was truthful. and if it's truthful, what it says is donald trump and the trump organization knew nothing about his his deal . he struck with the soviet union. what did you think of the comments of bob costello on this show last night? because i thought they were blockbuster. alan dershowitz went as far as to say case closed, that the d.a. cannot use michael cohen as a witness because he would be contradicted by costello, castellano, big firm called mcdermott will and emery, one of the most prestigious firms in this country, to second for him. this corroborates bob costello ,who has no need for corroboration. he is a very reputable lawyer without an ax to grind here, and he's not a convicted liar.
11:11 pm
as michael cohen is . this letter here is so devastating to their case because it is them representing to a federal agency, the fec, the federal election commission ,that this was done without any thought of the campaign. of course it wasn't. look, i've said this before. anything that they're saying, assuming was 100%. okay, cohen and bragge and all that, it still does not make it a crime. because there's no campaign finance law violation here at all. if you take michael cohen in his own words and you have an opportunity to cross-examine him or i see a lot of, you know, joy came right to old case. there will be no meat left on that bone. ketanji al tv. but you're dealing with a convicted felon, an admitted liar, a serial liar, okay? and he was charged and imprisoned as a result.
11:12 pm
okay, how does he become their star witness? it's funny, i don't know, because alan breg, only a couple of months ago, if you read pomerance book and if there's any truth to that book, they call the time because they call zombie. but they also said he quoted alan in a meeting via brick saying, i can't imagine a world in which i would ever call michael cohen as a witness against donald trump. yeah, let me go to bill . something changed in the last few months. all right. let's talk specifically about your job fec, because the fec looked at this very case as the doj, as did the previous manhattan d.a. and they and even alan bragge in the beginning, they all passed on it because of why. what's the reason why they passed? >> but that's a great question. let me start by saying something. since i'm on with mr. trump's lawyer, i'm going to point out i'm not a paid consultant to the trump campaign. i'm not an unpaid consultant to the trump campaign. somebody asked for the day when i told them i was going to be doing your show. they said, you're going to be able joe . and i had to say, i'm sorry, joe .
11:13 pm
i say, who's joe friso? because you don't campaign here. you don't know the finance law. by the way, he's tried, what, over one hundred cases in new york , by the way. one hundred jury trials here. when i'm slighting me, not not him at all. and all this guy is the i mean, here's here is the pinnacle of resources when it comes to federal election laws. all right. let's he would have to say, i'd love to hear you say, were you questioning now i can go home. i got. all right, brad , this is really an important question. so let's go over to the claim made by the d.a. is the federal law says something as a campaign contribution. if it's made with the for the purpose of influencing a campaign and that's the argument. well, they were trying to do this because they thought if they could pay hush money to stormy daniels, that would help trump's campaign. so that's the theory. the problem with that is that the federal law, that standard is not a subjective standard.
11:14 pm
in other words, if i were to go out today and just pick some random person and pay them fifty thousand dollars, because i thought that would help trump get elected or anybody get elected, that wouldn't be a campaign expenditure just because that was my bizarre belief. it's an objective standard and that's made clear by another part in the law that very specifically points out who you cannot or what things you cannot spend money on . so, for example, a candidate cannot spend money for a country club membership out of campaign funds, even if that might be a valuable tool, they think, to helping them get reelected, to meeting with donors and getting the money they need to campaign. and so candidates can't spend money on clothing, even if the candidate thinks, you know, i've got to do a nationally televised debate, i'm going to go out and buy six thousand dollar suit that i would never buy. but for the fact that i'm running for office doesn't matter. it's not a campaign expenditure . and i think just just a common sense matter. most of us would agree with this that most of would not think that it is a campaign expenditure to try to settle potential legal claims against you or other claims against for
11:15 pm
events that occurred ten years before you talked about running for office to pay allegedly to pay hush money to to stormy daniels or anybody else. i think it's a common sense matter. most americans don't think that's a campaign expense. and the odd theory of the day brag is that not only could those expenses be paid with campaign funds, they would have to be paid with campaign funds. i think, again, it's a common sense measure is clearly wrong, but also when you look at the statute and you realize that's an objective standard, it's clearly not correct to say that these were funds that count as a campaign expenditure and had mr. trump paid for them with his campaign funds. my guess is that people in the d.a.'s office right now would be trying to think about indicting him for illegally using campaign funds for converting campaign funds to his personal use. want to get your coming or going? but i think the correct answer is there's no violation here as it stands. you know, brad , i've got to be honest, the most comprehensive, thoughtful answer on the fec part of this that i've ever
11:16 pm
heard. great job, joe . i'm going to give you the last word on this question. you keep saying there's no law broken here. there's. what do they what what's what are they attempting to do that i think they're attempting to fulfill a a political vendetta? well, i think alan breg is playing to his donors. i think he's trying to appease them and he doesn't really care what the end result is going to be here, because this case will not be won by the district attorney's office. we will win this case if, god forbid, they bring it. but i think, unfortunately, we're at the point now where prosecutorial discretion is being abused so badly that it doesn't matter what they think they're going to bring or what the results can get an indictment. they think they've won. i , quite frankly, think it backfires on them because they're going to lose this case. and i think it's going to catapult president trump back to the white house told the audience this backfires on them. you do. okay, so, tacopina, thank you. thank you, mr.. right now. breaking tonight, house judiciary chairman jim jordan,
11:17 pm
he is now demanding testimony from two anti trump manhattan prosecutors who embarrassed the album bragge and resigned last year. now, all because bragge was talking too long or taking too long to bring charges against donald trump. they got. it was more house judiciary chairman. i'll get it out. jim jordan is with us . jim , how are you, sir? judiciary. i can say it if i try real. so the question i first want to ask you is your reaction to what happened today. you just heard you just heard from joe tacopina. what is your reaction to their analysis of this case? well, i think i think alvin may be going back to what he initially thought when he first won the job, which was he shouldn't bring this case. so i think the sort of in the overall picture on the fundamental question is what changed? we know the department of justice wasn't going to bring the case. as you said , the previous district attorney , mr. vance, wasn't going to bring the case
11:18 pm
when alvin bragg gets elected as district attorney , he's not going to bring the case. and then the only thing that changes between then and now is president trump announces he's running for president . and most importantly, i think pomerance and done two individuals who worked as assistant resign, start pitching a fit, start and write a book and create this pressure on alvin bragge from the left. and suddenly he decides, oh, now i'm going to indict president trump. i think that's the key thing. and so that's why we're sending letters to mr. pomerance. mr. don . we want them to come in for a transcribed interview so we can ask them some important questions. what about bringing in bragge? well, he's supposed to get back with us tomorrow. we'll find out tomorrow. at o'clock. he's supposed to get back with us . we'll see what he says and then we'll move accordingly. all of this is in tandem with your investigation in your committee and that is investigating whether the fbi is politicize the doj weaponizes. are we witnessing this in real
11:19 pm
time in this country? it sure seems like it, because, i mean, think about just think about president trump. first it was russia, then it was the phone call with zelenskyy that the democrats go after him. then it's his tax returns. then it's his business. then it's his children's business. ties. and then and then it's the the raid on his home, for goodness sake. and now possibly this. so, yeah, we see with president trump, but maybe just as importantly, are as important. the fact that they've went after parents, they went after pro lifers, they've went after traditional catholics, they said we're domestic terrorists. they had that memorandum that we learned about six weeks ago . so that is the concern that you see from so many of these agencies. in the biden administration actually being turned on . the american people that they're supposed to be serving. what does it mean when the current attorney general of new york , the manhattan d.a. of new york , both of them run on a campaign and they openly state they want to go after one man, one company,
11:20 pm
one family, and then they proceed to do just that. is that justice? no, it's not. it's selective prosecution and it's wrong. the great people of this great country understand it's wrong. that is not how our constitutional system is supposed to work. not at all. it is not supposed to be attacking people who are exercising their free speech rights like we see with some of these other agencies also. so this whole thing that we've now witnessed, this attack on the first amendment, the selective prosecution is going after president trump. it is all wrong. and that's what the judiciary committee is focused on , making sure we get the facts on the table so we can propose the legislation to remedy the situation. and if we have to use the appropriation process, use the power of the purse to limit funds going through some of these agencies that are doing this kind of thing, how many fbi whistle blowers will you bring? we've had three testify already ,the transcribed interview. we're going to talk to more
11:21 pm
and hopefully some of them will want to come public and actually here in a public hearing, although welcome on the show, any time we've interviewed two already. jim jordan, appreciate you being with us, as always. great work. thank you. all right. coming up, ready for another segment i've got going on . and we're getting cold feet indictment. sarah carter right here in studio. and also, we're going to show you the media's embarrassing celebrations over the trump investigation. and we have a how big announcement later in the show shop now for michael lewis. crises of the season on thousands of items with 70% of canvas and 60% else, john b plus, check out big vogels on brains and half. i'll bring in eastern, of course, say storewide and online. march 26 . hello, i'm former arkansas governor mike huckabee. did you know that a lack of

today? all right. after they cancel the grand jury proceedings today, sources now telling fox news that the album bragge could be having serious trouble making a case against former president trump. so what did new yorkers think about this? you would think new york liberal. these are the only normal people in all of new york , but at least general carter out in the streets of manhattan, a very dangerous job to find out. take a look at visa brag, postpone the session with the grand jury. so for the possible indictment of president , do you think democrats are becoming a little nervous? is that a sign they're getting nervous? well, you know, i think it's funny because this is something that i expected to happen because i think they're trying their best to kind of deter him running for presidency again, if he gets indicted, great.
11:27 pm
if he doesn't, you know, i feel like 2024 is more of an issue. and do you think democrats are getting a little bit nervous about the trump indictment, or do you think that they're going to go for it? they we're out here protesting yesterday afternoon. right? right. maybe getting a little nervous. it's a former president , so they have to tread carefully. they can't just go wild. i'm not a fan of the guy, but i certainly respect the office. so, yeah, my my opinion is it's a wait game. do you think dems are scared right now? do you think they postponed it? kind of think this is the biggest hoax and ridiculous and there are actual criminals . new yorkers should be prosecuted and be put in jail as new yorkers. what do you think? do you think the democrats are are getting nervous about this ? do you think it's just going to happen later? how do you feel about trump? give it to me. i didn't know. it's silly. that's disappointing to be winning. do you think the democrats have bit off more than they can chew with this indictment? definitely. they should focus on the economy. the recovery post pandemic. we need a jump. all right. joining us live in studio
11:28 pm
is fox news investigative reporter, part of the person i never got to see. i know. i know. it feels like coming home. i love being here. i think it's great to have you. we need your investigative skills right now more than ever. let's start with what people are saying. you know, sean, i . i walk to the city and i mean, this is three days of going through new york city. i want to interrupt new york city. for those of you that don't come here, you're very smart. it is . it is an adam schiff. all it is , is that it really. it really is . it's kind of scary. right? and you're walking around and i'm fox news, sarah carter. and i'm so grateful for the new yorkers that recognize me and come up to me and say, we love your work on the border, but i was a little nervous. i'm going to be straightforward with you. but i walked around the city. i was even asking, is there anybody here who wants to indict president trump? talked to me and people were like, no, look, we're tired of this. we're tired of the politicization of this.
11:29 pm
we're tired of, you know, the divisions. if it's real. yeah. let's go for it. but everybody that i spoke to said, no, look, there's more crime in this city. the focus needs to be that bragge should pay attention to the crime and especially the rising crime last year. 23% increase in crime in new york city and they're trying to go after president trump on an alleged misdemeanor, an alleged misdemeanor when it's bragg who has taken misdemeanors and basically taken felonies and reduced him by fifty two percent to misdemeanors in the city. of allowed people to like on a case where he went from a misdemeanor to a felony. right, exactly. this is the only case and new yorkers see right through it. this is a great city. >> i know there's a lot of democrats here, but this is a great city. they're not actually here. oh, they are out there. not a borough.
11:30 pm
you do amazing work for us . thank you know. good to see you in new york . sarah carter, everybody. all right. i fell in love in the media. they have been longing to see donald trump in handcuffs for years. and this week was no exception. >> take a look. i yes, from a historical perspective, an indictment against the former president is unprecedented. but given that we're talking about this particular former president , donald j. trump, can you honestly say to yourself, that an indictment is a surprise? no one would be political, is to not prosecute somebody who's committed a crime and who have been indicted just because he's a former president . yeah, that's not what we do in this country. >> i don't rely on what the trump staff says, like the new york times does about how donald trump is feeling. i'm going to ask mary trump tonight. oh, how her uncle is feeling as they close in on him. and prosecutors offices all
11:31 pm
over the country. so many people were excited. yeah. yeah. zalaya, are you shocked? no, it it annoys me every time i know. i can tell you are all fans of the view. i can tell anyway, the hysteria is all too predictable. and now even howard stern, he's calling them out over the breathless coverage of this looming indictment. so where do we go from here? let us bring in the author of a brand new book. it's called get trump harvard law professor alan dershowitz and the author of the upcoming book trial of the century. potts's legal analyst, craig barrett. professor, there is a passion for this to happen on the left ,but you are argue rightfully so. this is against the constitution of our country. >> i have never seen a case in my 60 years of practice which has so many holes.
11:32 pm
start with the statute of limitations. it's seven years before he committed the crime. the new york state statute says the only exception to that is if his whereabouts are unknown. i have to tell you, even bragge could found that he was in the white house and new york. >> well, there are photographs of them at his house on the street. he was not continuously out of new york . i don't see how you can twist and turn to make a statute of limitations just a pier. and then you have all the other how many holes shall i count the ways to count the quote, the poet. i have never seen a case. and in the end, i really do think greg is worried about his own barcott. i think he's worried that if he brings this case and he uses a witness who he has to know is lying there, going to be
11:33 pm
investigations of him and there should investigations. he holds an office that was held by bob morgenthau, frank hogan, some of the great prosecutors in history and is disgracing that office by bringing this case. so i hope he comes to his senses, doesn't bring its case in my book, get trumped by name ,a book. i didn't make up the name, just the name was made up by lateesha james and by bragg's. they were the ones who can paint on the promise of get trump. professor, it's not justice. greg, let me bring you in and i'm asking you to speculate on this. the grand jury not showing up today. why did that happen? and reports of chaos in bragg's office. i believe they probably are true. >> that's my guess. i don't know for sure. >> yeah, i think it is true. and of course, the mainstream media, which spent the last
11:34 pm
several a salivating over an imminent trump indictment today ,was crestfallen when they found out, wait a minute, all of a sudden, the grand jury proceedings have come to a halt. i think a couple of things are happening here, sean. you've put your finger on one of them and that is that there is a revolt in the district attorney's office, dissension in the ranks, top senior xperia prosecutors are angry about this. they see it for what it is , a politically motivated witch hunt, a convoluted looney tunes legal theory that has no merit. bragge contorted the law, twisted the evidence because he hates donald trump. but i think the other thing that is afoot here is the grand jury itself. alan , put his finger on it last night when we were talking about it. you know, i think all of a sudden the grand jurors after bob costello's testimony, money, are saying to themselves, wait a minute, are we getting snookered?
11:35 pm
and sandbagged by alan bragge. costello comes in here and says michael cohen, who brags relying on is the biggest liar in the world, a prodigious, inveterate liar who cannot be trusted. and also, i think they were probably taken aback by the fact that bragge appears to have been hiding hundreds of documents and emails from them. that's exculpatory evidence and they have a right to see that. and so it doesn't surprise me, the reports that, you know, he's having trouble convincing now the grand jurors to indict. all right. john mclaughlin, last question. predictions, professor, will they go to and to indict donald trump? yes or no recorrect if the grand jury actually revolted and said we're not going to invoke a ham sandwich, we're fighting back . we have seen the evidence, the lawyers now, and we're not
11:36 pm

hikes from the fed today as fighting inflation continues. to plague americans all across the country. now, mortgages, credit card debt, bank loans, guess what? they will be more expensive. but while americans are suffering, while treasury secretary janet yellen, she's busy defending biden's billionaire bailout. all right. here is one of the stars of shark tank, chairman of oleary ventures, kevin o'leary, weaponizes love the show. glad you're doing so. well. thank you. we promised the audience that he'll teach them all how to be billionaires by the end of the show. you know, when to thirds of the country are living paycheck to paycheck when, you know, we see home sales now at 11 year low, we have new home construction debt stop. we see the economy. we're paying more for everything we buy in every store we go to. i get angry because it was all preventable. we had a good economy. biden wrecked it.
11:42 pm
am i wrong? biden printed a lot of money. and i think you have to expect inflation. and we got it big time. and the fed is raising rates like they haven't done in 40 years. and when you do, that stuff starts to break. now, core inflation is really high, including on food. so people go to the grocery store and trying to buy protein and eggs and chicken and it's up 40 years away. so the fed has to chase this. the way they do it is they keep raising rates. so something stops and we're in an unusual situation because there's so much money sloshing around and you print four trillion bucks. it's actually hard to spend it all. so it's out there still sloshing around. i could figure it out. well, you know, we're at full employment still and we still telling everybody we're in a recession, we're driving up rates. it's very hard to know what's going to happen next. lawrence summers said that if we want to end inflation, we need in one year 10% unemployment. you agree with that? there's no way we're getting there. there is no way we're getting 10% unemployment. not this time. that means inflation goes
11:43 pm
on longer. yes. and that's why you saw today. it was interesting because you made the announcement at the market actually went up. and then by the time he was midway through the press conference, he was hawkish and the market cratered 500 points because it's clear that he's not worried about the banks and the banking crisis anymore. and i'm worried about that. he's after inflation. that means more rate hikes, another 25 basis point and maybe another one after that. in the early part of my adult life, 10 years or so, i would live paycheck to paycheck, struggle to pay my rent. i know how people feel that it's not a great feeling not to have that kind of money. what do you how you advise the average great american, the people get up every day, work hard, pay their taxes, obey the laws, raise their kids that are struggling. now, what do you advise them? i said once on the air said cut spending is only two choices. cut your spending or bring in more income. and somebody said hanadi to poor people, get another job. that's all i knew when i didn't
11:44 pm
have money. you know, try and bring in more income if you can. so what i tell people, because we're back in the election cycle and i say forget about politics just for a minute. let's think about paul ussi, because if you want to solve our problems, you've got to think about hiring leaders who have in my view, very simple metric. if you haven't made payroll in your life, if you haven't run a business and made payroll, you shouldn't be a politician. >> agreed. and and i did want to did. yes. and i did have to pay for workman's comp and i did have to pay payroll taxes. also talking about it, because some of our leadership and the criticism are not from your political perspective, is they've never run a business . i mean, if you haven't done that, you don't know how hard it is to just go day to day to day and when you have that empathy, you get great leadership.
11:45 pm
i'll give you an example. this is a classic example. i just got back this morning from north dakota. i'm going there because this state is a gem for investment. it's a good policy right across the river from fargo is a town called moorhead. i've been there, okay. twenty five years ago. listen to this, everybody. this you don't even have to get into politics. understand what happened here. you got minnesota with a river separating from north kota. you got moorhead twenty five years ago. fifty thousand people in it. twenty five years ago, fargo had fifty thousand people. today you've got two hundred and sixty thousand people living in fargo. you've got microsoft, second largest campus, massive arts, biotech, energy businesses, but wait, go across the river. only two hundred yards. you step out, it looks like cuba. there's only thirty thousand people left in moorhead. the difference is minnesota policy. north dakota policy. wow. that's the difference. and here's why you're a nurse.
11:46 pm

11:54 pm
,just destroyed every single day by this. they were like, yeah, let's get a poet and let's put his stuff out and let him destroy that. and of course, the poet was in the audience listening to his poetry get absolutely demolished by this guy. they picked the few the few lines of the poem, which was a poem from obama's second inauguration. they picked the one the few lines that had a single or two syllable words that they picked the line and the rich . one of the easiest. it's like it's like the children words to like moon from big stars. you think he knew he might be able to hang with it now, you guys, to make me ditlev laughing here. i mean, what poem would widjojo know by heart? there are once was a man from nantucket. i think.
