the next day bloomberg did run the story but it essentially said what joe said. bloomberg, interestingly enough, deleted the story from their website in 2016, according to the wayback machine. and that was way back but, before joe ran for president. >> ainsley: the one-eye story is interesting, too. this fbi mole, the israeli energy expert that has been arrested last month says that the fbi mole, one eye, tipped off hunter's chinese business partners that they were under investigation. this guy, who is saying this, the israeli defense force guy, said that he was arrested to stop him from revealing what he knows about the biden family and fbi corruption. he tweeted out, the doj is trying to bury me to protect joe, jim and hunter biden. his attorney says he tried to inform the doj four years ago that this was happening. that the chinese energy company was paying $100,000 per month to

house, it effects your credit card, your college loans. the fed has raised the interest rate by a quarter of a point. this is the ninth consecutive time that they have raised the interest rates. how is this going to effect the banks in the officials say it's too soon to show this latest increase how it is going to affect the banking sector and affect inflation. they are trying to crush inflation. three times higher than the pre-pandemic average. >> brian: they are going to crush us along the way. while they are crushing inflation they're discouraging because raising rates discourages commerce and discourages real estate and makes it tougher to buy a house. >> steve: and then banks fail because people borrow less. >> brian: the mindset is that if the fed does what it was supposed to do, which was teed off to do, raise rates, it will show a lack of panic at the fed because of the bank failures that happened last week it could be going over. if the fed is going to raise rates, how could they be panicked at the same time? that's the theory that might relax things for banks.

>> steve: well, you know, supposition was that they might not do anything, given the fact that those banks did fail. but they raised it a quarter point. they could have raised it, you know, if they were really serious about inflation, they could have raised it half a point. that would have just freaked people out. the action yesterday after the fed head jerome powell said interest rates may top out this year at 5.25. that is so much more. remember, a year ago. it was zero. and now it's at 5%. this is even getting the attention of a prominent democrat, a congresswoman, who said that inflation thing is doing this for the average american. >> what the fed is doing and i'm not going to second guess the fed. inflation is killing people in this country, it really is. people do live paycheck to paycheck. and they are struggling. what we need to try to do is focus on how we bring prices down. >> brian: right. that would be great. >> steve: the federal reserve
