7:00 pm
the audience, go to hannity.com for information, tickets are absolutely free. unfortunately, that's all the time we have left this evening. don't forget to set your dvr so you never ever miss a show. let not your heart be trouble. laura and "the ingraham angle" is next. thanks for being with us, have a great night. >> i am laura ingraham from washington tonight. we learned more today about the trans shooter who killed six people including three children at that private christian school in tennessee. police interviewed audrey hale's parents where it was revealed she had well-known mental health issues. >> we interviewed the parents of audrey hale's. they felt she had one weapon
7:01 pm
and she sold it. she was under care of doctor's for emotional disorder. law enforcement knew nothing about the treatment she was receiving. her parents felt she should not own weapons. >> as we said last night, we have no idea what drugs she was taken or if she was not taking due to her emotional disorder. we'll not speculate until we know more. but, what is clear is in her final messages to a friend that hale was seriously disturbed. she wrote that i am planning to die today. you will probably hear about me on the news. she said in an instagram message, one day this will make more sense. i have left behind more than enough evidence. it is the evidence that could help prevent tragedies like this in the future. we have known since yesterday about the existence of a quote, "manifesto," i hate using that term.
7:02 pm
for a lack of a better word, that's what we calling it. police revealed of parts of what's inside. >> manifesto several different writings of other locations. there was a map of the school, drawing of how potentially she would enter and the assaults that would take place. it is quite a bit of writing to it. i have not read the whole entire manifesto. >> as to the status of that so-called manifesto, the metropolitan national police department said they'll not release the manifesto during the investigation. don't we know who the killer was? the executive director of children's of lesbians and gays everywhere warned against publishing it saying we should focus on the guns instead. charles moran, says releasing
7:03 pm
the manifesto could inspire others to take violent acts for attention. so, are there concerns well founded or is it because they don't want anyone to know how militant this rhetoric on the part of this young woman was and how the trans movement in some cases when highly radicalized could be affecting people, especially young people. these outstanding questions get right to the heart of why this document release must happen now? joining me now is james fitzgerald, supervisor agent, author of "a journey to the center of the mind," james, we had huge reactions to your appearance last night on the program. we invited you back. is there any, any reason for the authorities to withhold these writings given what we know about the devastation
7:04 pm
inside that school? >> hi, laura. i want mention the police. they finally took that person and the personnel. a lot of bad press from the police but yesterday, they did the right thing. yeah, i was one of the people argued for the manifesto for the uni-bomber to be published. we want to gather evidence and identify who that person was. no, we can't and other people will absorb these ideas or they'll adapt or etcetera and etcetera, i realized it is different in this particular situation. it is essentially the cases resolved in terms of identifying the person.
7:05 pm
it goes so much further than that. behaviorist and psychologists and forensic linguist, they need to know about this kind of person. we need to know, does not have to be tomorrow or in the case week. at some point it should be released just like the majority of joe's writing virginia tech back in 2007 and the uni-bomber, they were released after, they. >> rey were received. they should released to know what to look for in future types of incidents for people to leak these information and let's stop it before it happens. >> many are down playing this
7:06 pm
significance of hale's previous writing. here is a sampling. >> this person has a so-called manifesto that's glorifying words. >> it may not make sense to a lot of people, likely not. >> well, i know that buffalo shooter released his on his own. that was published by him. but, i don't recall people back then saying oh, don't publish that manifesto or anything the church shooter wrote in south carolina, like anything, e-mails or text messages. there is a public right to know about this given the gravity of these shootings. i mean across the board no matter who you are or what you are, it is going to come out eventually, it is better it comes out sooner than later.
7:07 pm
>> yes, i am not sure who everyone was that was speaking in your bit there a few seconds ago. if they are journalists, when did they stop wanting to see evidence about any sorts of activities, killers or politicians doing something wrong or right or whatever. all of a sudden they should be clambering and release these things now. let the expert look at it and give them some time to go through it. i don't want to see an edited version of this come out. we can trigger warning up front, but it should be made available to the general public to most importantly, not just ah-ha, look what this person did or -- no. the reason for this is let's look into the future and let people read what this person has written and know what to look for in co-workers and fellow students and friends, family. maybe they'll see some of these indicators that were manifested by this person in
7:08 pm
her manifesto, whatever that person calls it. >> thank you, appreciate it. >> do you plan to open a hate crime investigation for the targeting of christians. >> fbi and atf are both on the scenes working with the local police, as of now a motive have not been identified. >> if i seem to b seeding with anger after watching that, good. we don't have a motive when the police said repeatedly that this shooter happens to be trans specifically targeted a christian school. that apparently she resented. how does merrick garland testify before congress saying that? he's not ad dump person, he's a smart person. joining me now is john hawley. your reaction to garland and all the leaderships there like wray as well. >> well, we need to call this
7:09 pm
what it is, when you target somebody based on their religious beliefs and religious affiliation, is a hate crime. this school was targeted and it was not random. they were targeted. that's a federal hate crime. there should be a federal hate crime investigation. the government should make all of its resources available to nashville police. we need to prevent this from happening again and to do that, laura, we need to know how it happened now. the rhetoric that led to this and the influences on the shooter. we need to be clear about the truth here when you target christians and religious believers, that's a hate crime. >> senator, you were mentioned at the white house today, and i could not believe how biden reacted. watch. >> do you believe that christians were targeted in the nashville school shooting? do you believe that christians were targeted? >> i have no idea. >> josh hawley believed they were. what do you say to that? >> well, i probably don't
7:10 pm
then. no, i have no idea. >> oh, i am sorry, that's just a terrible response, senator. your response to the president. he heard that you were for something and that's going to bring the country together. you believer something because you believed it, he said oh, i changed my mind. oh, i am joking. i don't think so. >> that's beneath the dignity of the office of the presidency of the united states. this is a guy that's in office who has the responsibility of leading this country, children are dead. can i say the parents out there that words don't begin to express the loss you may be feeling, as a parent myself and i can't imagine. i know these parents d believers know we don't grieve as those without hope and we look forward to the days that these kids are raised again. this is a terrible tragedy.
7:11 pm
biden should be saluting the law enforcement officers who put their lives on the line and saved hundreds of kids. he should be saying we'll get to the bottom and call it for what it is, a hate crime and do a full investigation to make sure it does not happen again. >> we have european country that's known to be quite progressive on various social issues that moved against this aggressive push for gender transitioning in minors. moved against it but banning it, outlawing it, obviously, england, we have seen the movement and other european countries. we have an entire practice and prestigious hospitals like john hopkins and baltimore, the gender care center with huge facilities and making money on children and adults. how was this allowed to stand
7:12 pm
in the united states? >> yeah, we got the same thing happening unfortunately, in the state of missouri. we have got the facts of these clinics, who's funding them and who's making the money on it. why are they pushing these treatments on parents and kids without fully exploring and telling them what the long-term consequences are which includes sterilization for life. we need to get to the bottom of who's behind this push to many cases mutilate these children without telling them what's going on. all of this goes back to the fact that we got to facts here and this shooting. we got to prevent it from happening again. we got to tell the truth about what happened in nashville. >> senator, thank you. now, here the thing the media have been blaming for the trans person murdering children at this christian school. tennessee bans drag performances for kids. that's to blame. i was just talking to the senator about. the publication, the daily
7:13 pm
wire was based in nashville and my personal favorite, a 2021 picture of a gop congressman who owns guns. >> do regret of the post. the photo in the christmas card? >> why would i regret a photograph with my family exercising my rights to bare arms. chris, i need to read something nbc news published tonight. ahmad focus on national shooter's gender identity. we were already fearing for our lives and now it is even worse. one transgender advocate in the state says, "chris, there are victims tonight, is the transgender community a victim?

7:16 pm
excuses for this kind of behavior. this is all part of this cultural revolution that we are seeing in this country. it is not about individuals who may be gender confused or treating it as mental illness. this tragedy is compounded by the tragedy that we are not treating transgenderism as a mental illness. what we have done is allow the cultural revolutionary to run the entire discussion and run public policies to the point where we are not promoting transgenderism and creating the social contagion, rather now we are celebrating this as a society. it has become so political because it is part of this broader cultural marxist revolution that we are seeing in the country. get to the kids early. this is a form of indoct
