girls in the far top left apparently was trying to pull the fire alarm to tell the police that there was a school shooter. >> the little girl in the middle, her father is the pastor of covenant presbyterian church. >> steve: it's absolutely heart breaking. >> todd piro joins us now with the very latest. we do have some updates. >> that fire alarm piece might be the most heart breaking thing in the most heart breaking story we have seen in a while. good morning be to all three of you. getting a look at what two brave officers experienced while confronting 28-year-old shooter audrey hale. raced into the school with guns drawn while being shot at as they arrived on scene. moved through several hallways and classrooms before putting an end to the shooting of three 9-year-olds and three faculty members. the head of covenant school catherine koontz former fbi special agent telling fox.

catherine was on a zoom call when she heard the first shot. she immediately ended the call. got up and headed straight for the shooter. she did what principals and head fasters do. of she protected her children. and one brave little 9-year-old evelyn dick house pulling the fire alarm trying to save classmates. >> bill lee's wife marie. >> parents woke up without children the children woke up without parents, without teachers. maria woke up this morning without one of her best friends. cindy peak. cindy was supposed to come over to have dinner with maria last night. after she filled in as a substitute teacher yesterday at covenant. i'm calling on the people of tennessee today to pray. >> todd: more details now being released about the shooter. being treated for emotional

lives. >> steve: lawrence, it is amazing that the police would put out the video. and that video just shows you how brave these guys are and smart they were about going they could not have gotten up to that location where the shooter was any faster and probably saved some lives. and when you see that they were able to do it in just about 10 minutes, it flies in the face of what happened in uvalde, unfortunately, when the police, you know, willy-nilly didn't respond in this fashion for over an hour. >> lawrence: yeah. as you guys know, i covered that. and i think the best clarence i can makes a someone that was on the ground there. the local police in uvalde they

did it. they didn't just think it. i just can not explain in more detail how precise they were with this. i mean, going -- it's one thing to talk about going toward bullets. it's another thing to go toward them. they did that. >> the school handled it it looked like in a proper fashion police thrive and get their guns out of the back of their truck. they walk up and someone outside that has a connection to the school says the shooter, it looks like is inside. it sounded like they said shooter's upstairs. someone was there outside to hand the cops the keys. they unlocked the door. the cops saying 3, 3. i need three of you was. they run. in and if you look at the timeline, they arrive at 10:22 a.m. by 10:27, she was dead. they show them going through classrooms on the first floor. then they hear some gunshots upstairs. >> steve: running.

>> ainsley: run up to the second floor and there's an open area and that's where they find this shooter. and she is dead within minutes. it says that rex struck the shooter down immediately. >> lawrence: can i just explain why they did that? ainsley, back in columbine strategy of clearing classroom to classroom. what happened was after they cleared each classroom, they ended up in the center. and that's where you found all the deceased children and the gunman. and so, that's why they changed it to go directly to the threat immediately instead of trying to clear each classroom. it's to save lives. >> brian: right. i want you to read. so, one of the officers' older sister said this about her brother, michael camera lazarus zoe. he obviously is very brave. braver than i ever imagined. he does his job. think about the training and classes he does. family events he had to miss.

it really does pay off. the bravery is going in knowing that the other person has a gun and is going to be an instant reaction. you don't know what you are going to find. think about this, lawrence, in uvalde we heard they waited for shields. we got to wait for shields. these guys didn't wait for shields. they said from the time they walked through the door, four minutes later the shooter was dead. >> lawrence: they didn't just wait for shields. they lied and told reporters that they engaged the shooter when they really hadn't engaged the shooter initially. so, again, the thing that impressed me about that officer there was the amount of control that he had. it's one thing to go engage the person. he was leading all of the rest of the officers, tell him which doors to clear. which direction to go. go toward the threat.

there is a lot of awards. patriot awards. back 9 blue awards every year. i'm sure these officers are going to be strong contenders for that. >> steve: no kidding. as we pointed out. one of the officers, officer englebert just won an award just last week. the police chief said that the shooter's parents felt that their child should not own weapons and believed she did not have any. "the daily mail" has got an exclusive today that says the shooter was rejected by her parents who could not accept that she was gay and trans. her mother, norma, who is a church coordinator and her father ronald refused to let audrey hale, who now recently identified as aden, refused to let the child use he/him pronouns or dress as a man in their home. so he would wait until they left home to change outfits.

and the police chief said there was other information that perhaps other family members were targets as well. >> ainsley: daily mail said shooter had high functioning autism. found two more rifles taken from the house. and we have heard -- we heard this yesterday the police said that she harbored resentment about having to attend this school as a child. i'm curious to find out, too and i'm sure this will be released. the head teacher apparently was on a zoom. heard the gunshots, went running toward the noise. and she was killed. her name is katherine koonce. and then the custodian mike hall how did he get involved? we heard one of the little girls pulled the fire alarm. another little girl was the pastor's daughter. was she targeting? i would imagine probably not. steve no single person was targeted. >> brian: before they entered

the building. president biden speaking about it within seconds. he wants to talk about assault rifles ban and some ridiculous comparison he wants to bring up. day one he talked about ice cream before addressing the tragedy in nashville and again he makes some disparaging comment about josh hawley. he thought this was a good idea. >> sir, do you believe that christians were targeted in the nashville school shooting do you believe that christians were targeted? >> i have no idea. >> josh hawley believes they were what do you say to that. >> well, i probably don't then. [chuckle] i have no idea. >> steve: he has no idea. so, what the police are saying no particular individual was targeted but the building, the church building, the school was a target. here is josh hawley with laura last night talking about whether or not it should be investigated as a hate crime given the fact that the church was the target?

>> police in nashville have said this school was targeted. it wasn't random. it wasn't happenstance. no, they were targeted. that is a federal hate crime. there should be a federal hate crime investigation. federal government should make all of its resources available to nashville police. we need prevent this kind of thing from happening again. and, to do that, laura, we need to know how it happened now. we need to know the hateful rhetoric that led to this. what the influences on this shooter were. we need to be clear about the truth here. when you target christians, you target religious believers, that's a hate crime. >> brian: what do we know ahead of time. we know that she was seeing a therapist. what did the therapist know about how dangerous this person is? we also know they were able to purchase seven legal guns. of three of which were used in this attack. now, it's amazing to me that a legal purchases in guns are only in 13% of mass shootings. most people get them legally. in a background check should it

say undergoing psychological therapy? should it say it will autistic? i'm sure no gun store owner wants to say good i sold a gun if they think they sold a gun to somebody that is going to be a mass shooter. >> ainsley: the problem is she is 28 years old. not a minor. >> brian: should have been something along the way is there things in the background? why haven't we seen the manifesto yet. we would love to find out. it looks like we have a lot to go through to find out what the psychologic approach is. >> ainsley: we have heard her name a lot. we need to hear the names of the officers. those are the heroes. those are the ones that went in and prevented more children from dying and more faculty from dying and we thank them for their service. >> steve: indeed. >> ainsley: congressman jim jordan pressing the irs why they sent an agent to matt taibbi's house while he was testifying before congress. this is an irs agent. the backlash unfolding over the

>> it's very hard to find experienced electricians. i find that there are people who want to work but they are just -- they are not experienced or trained. we definitely are having problems with supply chain issues and electrical gear. and i think it's going to be a few years before that actually gets better. because they are like starting to build the plants right now to make more panels and meters and breakers. >> steve: speak egg of panels, you were telling me during the commercial time-out about the problem and the price of, for instance, a metal meter cabinet. how much did the meter cabinet cost you a couple of years ago and how much does it cost now? >> six or seven hundred bucks like three years ago and now it could be 1500 or 2,000 if i can find one at all and have it shipped. >> oh, man, one of the problems is people stopped going to vocational schools to learn this kind of stuff about 20 years ago, right? >> that's correct. now there's more interest again
