deal for him. we know each other, and it worked. >> happy easter. we're glad you're with us. it is easter sunday. and so we thought we would start this morning sharing with you a bit of the message of the resurrection of jesus. want to read this bible passage. it is off of -- it is from mark. i want to get the verse. do you have it there. it's mark 16. okay. there. now that we have that. when t sabbath was over and mary magdalene bought spices so they would go and anoint him and on the first day of the week when the sun had r had risen they weo the tomb. they were saying who will roll the stone away. they saw the stone which was very large had already been rolled back as they entered the tomb they say a young man sitting on the right side. they were alarmed. he said to them, do not be alarmed. you are looking for jesus.

who was crucified. he has been raised. he is not here. look, there is the place they laid him but go, tell his disciples and peter that he is going ahead of you to galilee. there you will see him. just as he told you. so they went out and fled from the tomb with terror and amazement. and they said nothing to anyone. for they were afraid. >> that's what we're celebrating today is the resurrection of jesus christ that god loved us so hutch that he gave his son, sacrificed his son so our sins could be forgiven. we talk about the easter bunny but it's really why we're here this sunday morning. >> you hear like roll the stone away and being a verse of a song or you have that image in your head of a tomb with a round stone over to the side. it's the visuals and the little things that people say but to really bring the meaning back in, why is that so important? because one person couldn't have done it. men couldn't have done it. how did gee jesus leave the tomt

had to be miraculous. his body wasn't stolen. he was resurrected. we learn the lessons from god about having faith and knowing that you just because it's not something think you can could do, had that there isn't mercy and strength through god there with you so i love this, as just the next opportunity in my life to point that out to myself and my family and people watching that we're going through things that most of us probably couldn't imagine. people say joey, you lost your legs, don't know how you got through that. i don't know what it's like to survive cancer or go through things that afflict people in the country. tomorrow might be your resurrection if you have a little faith. >> i feel the same way. life has a way of teaching you humility and along the way none of us can escape the process of suffering but what i feel like i've learned with -- i'm trying to learn through you life is the suffering has a purpose. and this day is a reminder that on the other side of suffering there is forgiveness and

resurrection that applies to every one of us. >> that purpose of forgiveness, the bible throughout uses sinner as well, right. and so we can always be forgiven. there's always that grace. we've been talking to people all morning long including cardinal including card cardinal dolan. >> w what's the easter week message. >> the messages is the supernatural birth of spring. the death of winter gives birth to new life. that's spring, passover, easer the. death had, evil, darkness, does not have the last word. life, goodness and light has the last word and that gives us hope. i don't know about you, but when i listen to the news we need hope, like the shooting in nashville. >> three 9-year-olds lose their lives. >> when you think how can

somebody go in and shoot up a school, how can somebody go in and shoot up a shopping center, how can somebody go in and shoot people in a synagogue, how can russia invade an innocent country. i know why. because we don't value human life. >> i look at the stats. in 1998 they said 63% of the people would say religion is important in my life. >> i have to take that seriously. that is sobering. i'm in the enterprise of faith and religion. we learned from the bible that the best thing to revive a sense of faith and religion is a clam calamity. when there is prosperity and peace we tend to forget god. when there's calamity, we return to him. i'm thinking why aren't we? we've got enough of them. >> there you go. that was the easter message there, great piece by brian kilmeade.

they took a lap around saint patrick's cathedral. it's great to hear cardinal dolan's message on easter. >> i was looking up something my mom told he me growing up. i like to bring this up. it's part of my upbringing. we call this cold snap in spring the dogwood winter in georgia. that's when the dogwood's bloom. it's fitting that's happening in georgia right now at easter. because the dogwood tree has christian symbolism. it's egger that kind of comes together. i like the use of saying spring is a he rebirth of our environment and atmosphere, our earth every year. the flowers bloom and kind of use that in the beginning of his talk because the dogwood tree through what i was taught growing up is what was used to make the cross. there's red dots on the white flower to symbolize the blood of ofjesus. there's remind reminder all arou

>> the house oversight committee issuing subpoenas to several major banks seeking financial records as part of the ongoing probe into hunter biden's overseas business dealings. the the subpoenas were issued to bank of america, jp morgan, hsbc and cathay bank which is based in chinatown in loss los angele.

monica crowley joins us now. good morning to you. >> good morning and happy easter. >> happy easter to you as well. tell me the significance of what the house has begun to investigate with the bidens. >> since president biden entered office, there have been numerous requests by republicans to try to gain control or access to the suspicious activities reports that the yell yenen trey department was holding back. since the gop gained control of congress, they gained subpoena power. they have access to what looks like upwards 250 suspicious activities reportses generate ad by banks to raise flags on whether or not there was illegal or any kind of suspicious activity with those foreign transaction as, but now you've got the house moving on the banks. these are considered friendly subpoenas, meaning these financial institutions actually asked for the subpoenas because then they will be forced to turn

it over so these banks now are going to be turning over bank records for not just joe biden but hunter biden and the entire biden family and we're going to be able to see in let tri short order whether or not there were financial business transactions that put america's national security at risk. >> will we see that, monica? is this the beginning? is this the end? will we have clarity or will it be even more confusing and provide the bidens some sense of plausible deniability. i'm curious what we will actually see. >> yeah. the house republicans, this is just the beginning of their investigation and because the corruption with the biden crime family runs so deep, it may be a while for the house republicans and their investigation to really excavate the depth of gone on here. what we know so far is that these transactions were not just geared towards enriching the biden family which of course they were, but a lot of these

transactions that we know about so far were actually also designed to help the ccp advance their strategic and military interests, we're talking about billions of dollars in some of these financial dealings that hunter biden was coordinating. so it's not just about their personal enrichment. it's also about helping the ccp achieve their goal of by 2025 economic dominance in the world and by 2030 matching the u.s. military. >> you don't buy something for nothing. >> exactly right. >> the payments would certainly be understood to be in pursuit of some idea pr quid pro quo, se objective for china. there's been classified document leak in the last -- it's been the last 24 hours, it's appeared on twitter. it's detailed a ton of american national security interest with ukraine, casualties in russia, american spying operations. when you look at this, tell me in your estimation the

significance of it and also whose interest, where would this be coming from? >> yeah. it's a very interesting leak. it does look like it's an inside job. it's actually photographs of existing documents so it looks like somebody with access to these documents in the pentagon's intell t jens wing tk photographs and -- intelligence wing took photographs and leaked it. they're trying to locate the source of the leak. i guess now they're interested in leakers. we've had the pentagon papers over the years. we've had julian assange got access and be published is he's been punished. these kinds of secrets we're going to have to see what they really disclose but one of the interesting points about this is that it shows that russia's been having a difficult time in ukraine, right. so you have to look to the motive of someone leaking this information. is it someone who is trying to continue the war in ukraine, continue u.s. support for the war in ukraine, trying to create

income americans because cheap energy is what you need to get around. >> whatever happened to building an economy in the bottom up. this is intentional, joe biden doesn't want to have an american economy that's independent, based on american oil and gas where we can have cheap energy to drive cars. as the interview mentions, the pathway to economic prosperity is being able to get to a car and drive to your workplace, not getting on a bus and taking two hours to get to your workplace. own your own car. but this is intentional. the biden administration is trying to move us from, again, american independence, oil and gas, to a chinese led ev market. we are outsourcing american energy independence to a group of people that hate us, to the communists. they hate us. it makes no sense. i look at the american people, especially those in the lower income and middle income brackets. i think they're tired of joe biden's policies. they realize the green new

energy push doesn't help them, doesn't benefit them, makes their lives more difficult. joe biden, democrats, they don't care, they're about the green agenda. they don't care about middle class americans. >> what you're talking about is so important. the statistic is that a new ev is like 63 grand and a new gas powered car is 26,000. and that's a great statistic, it's three times more important to get into an. v as opposed -- into an ev as on of posed to gas powered car. we didn't buy new cars. we bought them 10 years old. how many electric cars are 10 years old on the used vehicle market. it's not just the price of gas, trying to push people into electric cars is taking away economic opportunities from people. >> they're in electric cars they can't you afford. afford it.this is unsustainable.
