[cheers] >> laura: hello, audience. i may come next week. are you would doing a live show on wednesday? >> if you are here, we will do a live show together. >> all right, i think i may be coming on wednesday. >> that would be great. we love you. >> thank you, awesome show, and it's a date.
7:01 pm
thank you, sean hannity. i am laura ingraham and missus "the ingraham angle." former university of kentucky swimmer riley gaines was attacked last year. tonight she spoke about how she intends to hold the school accountable. the first, the focus of tonight's angle. when president donald trump speaking at the u.n. warned germany and the rest of europe about becoming reliant upon russian energy, they laughed at him. >> germany will become totally dependent on russian energy. if it does not immediately change course.
7:02 pm
>> we will become dependent on oil in that way. >> laura: of course when sanctions were put in place, we saw that donald trump was right. and his demands that europe pay for their own defense were slammed by many in europe including the french president emmanuel macron. >> interest first and who cares about the rest, we wipe out what is most valuable about the nation. the moral values. >> just as obama years earlier had dismissed the idea of american exceptionalism, he was repulsed by the anti-globalist
7:03 pm
message. >> the democratic world is getting ready to be welcomed into the democratic fold. >> overleaf the world over that he's been defeated and that joe biden has been elected president of the united states. >> the relief in european capitals, europeans have a real friend again. >> laura: they thought they could continue to free ride on a military budget inside with our adversary with impunity. which brings us to the current day and that cute little frenchman had a man crush. a long day with the president
7:04 pm
this weekend and it was a whirlwind romance invasion and no specific commitments were announced, but i guess when you know, you know. in a fair and even big promo video was shown. >> laura: very exciting. [inaudible] >> laura: then they let them know that they need to break free with america. and when they were asked about supporting our efforts, they answered with a question. is in our interest to accelerate a crisis with taiwan?
7:05 pm
no, he said. urging europe not to become followers of ours on the china question and basically they have been arguing for their entire tenure now and as it stands right now the foreign policy is the definition of insanity. they say it is a logical and self-defeating. first, we are spending a fortune in the proxy war against ukraine. and second, continuing to demand nothing but love from europe in return. and third, we say nothing publicly when a manual micron stabs us in the face over china and taiwan. and fourth, we continue to make china rich by trading with them
7:06 pm
as a most favored nation and the massive trade surplus helps them to continue the military buildup which is threatening a military takeover of taiwan. and number six, military leaders are doubting our ability to defend taiwan. so i ask you tonight, how does any of this make any sense? and remember with great fanfare, joe biden thought that he could build an alliance with europe by essentially sucking up to them. >> when autocrats are challenging the foundations, the strength of the transatlantic alliance and our commitment to nato is more important than it has ever been before. the alliance is closer than ever and more united than ever. >> laura: he was wrong, republicans in congress can certainly vote to keep funding the defense of europe, but they shouldn't ever expect that
7:07 pm
europe will do anything for us in return. it is literally a gift for the american taxpayers to a continent that has just come to hate us. and there's absolutely no point at all as we are analyzing any of this as we blame emmanuel macron. they are just telling us all finally the truth. europeans do not care that china has become in many ways more powerful than the united states and they seem to welcome it because they think that it gives them more leverage over us. and the fact that emmanuel macron is making all of this clear, the angle thinks it's a good thing, not a bad thing. and now we know, france has given china and now we need to
7:08 pm
make hard choices about what to do between now and then and they repeatedly violate their promise to spend at least 2% of gdp on defense and the climate change edicts were harmful to our interests. >> the biggest foe, competitor, globally right now, who do you think that is? >> i think that the european wouldn't think of the european union, but in a trade since they have really taken advantage of us in that way. >> he was 100% right. he knew that europe would never support us against china. when the globalist figurehead, joe biden, ended up in the white house, the establishments pro europe was given another coit
7:09 pm
has been a total and complete disaster. steel and aluminum, guttering energy independence, giving in europeans more leverage to push us around, despite the claims that he was going to support more manufacturing in america he buckled. to help european businesses. >> the trade deficit in goods from the eu was over $2 billion for the second year in a row and it didn't take them a long time to celebrate that propaganda victory. so the debate over europe between trump and the establishment has been right. they don't care about international rules-based
7:10 pm
orders, if they did, they would not be giving fist bumps. so no wonder china has overtaken us as the most powerful country in the world and the geopolitical position we have has collapsed. leaders are idealistic morons until we get the leaders that see the world as it is. not some globalist fantasy, the influence will only grow. mr. secretary, thank you for joining us tonight on your trip to china, how big of a problem is this for the united states? >> first, thank you so much for having me on. i don't know how big of a problem it is, emmanuel macron has always been someone who presented the united states. we saw that and they all
7:11 pm
understand the threat both from russia and china and that they have been put together by president joe biden's field policies, but the statements were a true propaganda victory. and that is bad for the people of the united states, we need to make sure that president joe biden should go out immediately and make people understand that we are not the problem, although emmanuel macron suggested that somehow this was our problem. the whole world knows that. the people of france should make sure that get their heads on straight. emmanuel macron has always resented the united states. >> laura: clearly germany and france are problems and former
7:12 pm
president trump pointed out with energy addiction, and eastern europe is eastern europe, they will always have more sense than western europe. but nevertheless we are carrying france and germany at this time and most of the military, and we get paid back for that. and that is insane. i think that donald trump was right. they are not allies of us. >> what emmanuel macron did is absolutely indecent for france in europe over the last 67 years, it is just not reflective of the greatness of the nation and i remember being in those meetings and that is china's party listening to you until we finally get the united kingdom and some of the other countries
7:13 pm
to come around. a symptom of what you are identifying as the larger problem. the other thing that joe biden has long and causes him to cozy up to these folks is the climate agenda and end up boat, the western european powers this is something that they don't understand, these folks are putting america way at the back. >> laura: john kirby had a comment about this current situation and tried to downplay it. >> we are able to maintain the lines of communication even throughout the tensions.
7:14 pm
[inaudible] >> mr. secretary, this is sheer begging for a meeting by the joe biden people to president xi and you know him, how do the chinese see that kind of supplicant? >> well, this is a green light. an absolute opposite of the deterrence model that we had. but they fly us by balloon, they did collect information and then they begged to have them sent back over there. this is only creating risk for the united states, this is what emmanuel macron gets wrong as well. he is on the side of north
7:15 pm
korea. and to say that we are just going to send janet yellen over there plays into the hands of president xi. we should demand things, we should treat it with repressive paucity, we should stop. and we should treat it with reciprocity. >> laura: thank you, mr. secretary. many in his own party are reviled. ultimately, one of the most frivolous and infantile moves imaginable, turning his 2024 reelection messaging apparatus over to tiktok and instagram influencers. how sad and pathetic.
7:16 pm
the so-called army of influencers could just work. twenty now is kellyanne conway. you know, i think that it is easy to laugh this off that he is not capable of real campaigning and so they need many candidates to go across the country and get people where they live. especially young people. >> yes, they do. in that way it is a smart strategy. and i think it's communication, no matter who you are and where you are, and yet they want president joe biden to delegate and advocate the responsibility of the president to communicate with certain audiences. and they cannot wait for the young to get old.
7:17 pm
we cannot be beaten on this policy wise. i think that we have already won the policy on the economy, education, a number of issues, we have done some work to do, yg people that think differently on guns, abortion or climate change. but the message can be really cynical. the thing that i am concerned about is that the left is a turnout machine with young people. influencers have this domino effect and if they succeed that way, we are not doing a good job competing for ballots or votes. the candidates lost the early voting miserably last time. i think doctor oz lost over 4-1. so we need to compete for ballots and not just voters. i have faith in the american
7:18 pm
people. >> laura: kellyanne, it seems like you make an excellent point. it seems like there were publicans are trying to play catch up. and you know the early voting, the folks that run all of this, the republican outlets that are supposed to be getting it right this time, what are they doing and are they lining up their own channels for early voting and will that happen this time. >> some states listen better than others as to what was going on. you see states like florida and georgia, they are able to have states like those who are way behind.
7:19 pm
and the other thing is many of the voters on our side have gotten mixed messages from some of the candidates themselves, showing up on election day, they have doubt about machines, they don't trust it. and i don't mind all of the compelled measures that became codified. it is crazy that led to these measures. and that's right, if this is the new normal, let's get a little bit more normal. you cannot catch up on election day. when there's been a month of early voting. >> laura: not going to happen. lesson not learned this time, they are going to say the heck with this party. they have to do it. >> laura: they have been lionized as the tennessee three, but not only are they racist, but they are building a political profile on the backs of the children. and speaking of tennessee, where is the nashville killer
7:25 pm
>> trump fans getting presentencing detention and not only did the so-called the tennessee three score invites to the white house, but they were featured on good morning america. in another example of why corporate media is the enemy of republicans. right here we have representative gloria johnson commemorating the moment. look like the faces of victims? six people including children murdered and these people are cheerfully cashing in. but it all worked. one of the expelled members was rre-and stated. here is his response. >> we are sending a message that democracy will not be killed in silence. >> we are calling upon him to resign as speaker of the house
7:26 pm
and the people have spoken. >> as you can see here, the resurrection of a movement for democracy happening in tenn tennessee. >> this is all choreographed progressivism, stunts as usual and with me now is state representative doctor kumar. i want to talk about him addressing you last week. >> be only member of the caucasians persuasion was putting a face on supremacy three months of this racist, is this their view? serve? can you hear me?
7:27 pm
>> yes, i can hear you now. >> okay, my question is he basically makes these incendiary comments which come across to me as racist, and yet he is there new hero? >> it is unbelievable, isn't it. many people do agree and believe about this remark. but these are people who claim to be fighting against this system. for them to practice the system is really a travesty. and this happened during a committee meeting, so i reminded him as we were discussing the motion to expel that he said that and he doubled down and he talked about it in the worst manner. my concern was what happened to staff were simple awareness on the part of the national
7:28 pm
leaders, honoring this person who has made a blatant outcry on video. are they not aware of it. obviously not because i cannot imagine that this would be tolerated like that. and again, it is definitely a remark that should not be tolerated. >> laura: yet the vice president swooped in and here is her comment. 3 i want to start by recognizing the tennessee three. >> they chose to lead and show courage and say that democracy allows for places where the people's voices will be heard and also honored and respected.
7:29 pm
>> doctor, your response to the vice president of the united states elevating this man? all three of them? >> certainly taking over and holding hostage a democracy for the elected members, that is not an exercise in democracy. it is not an exercise of human rights when it comes to take away rights of others. that is not an exercise at all. it is remarkable that in one of our committee hearings that vice president harris was used as an example of a person who had many good education individuals, and despite all the blessings that they offered to her, it is again
7:30 pm
america is a racist country but we were discussing the concepts and i think that that is what triggered them, including mr. jones, to say what he did. >> laura: clearly he was triggered. that's what did it. that brings us to our new segment from outstanding questions. so what happened is no great surprise, it's like they never existed at all. but we are not going to stop asking these questions. so let's stay in tennessee. where is the manifesto that we kept hearing about from the trans shooter of tennessee? today we saw another in the
7:31 pm
neighboring state, providing more reason why we must learn the motivations behind these killings. speaking of deranged shooters, we are promised this in the summer of 2022. so where is it? did drug use contribute to his violent psychosis? if so, what was that? and finally, why can we not find out who leaked the dobbs decision of the supreme court? is it months digging up dirt? or they had no time with attempted assassination of justice? these are the first in the series that we are going to continue until the public gets the answers with what you deserve. joining us now, charlie heard.
7:32 pm
all three of these questions, if answered, would really deflate the left. in important areas. and let's start with the fact that it seems like the media especially, like their appointed when someone who shoots someone else is not a right wing fanatic who listens to talk radio. they don't know how to deal with the killer who has a different profile. >> what is so interesting about these very good questions regarding the media, the media not asking, the truth is i don't even think that the media has the answers to these questions, but they are so afraid of the answers that they are afraid to even ask the questions. in particular in the case of these two shootings.
7:33 pm
and i think that you are right, it has to do with the narrative that they have been working so hard to build, especially around guns, the crazy leftist obsession of disarming law-abiding people, and that that narrative that they have built in this case with the nashville shooter, these are very important questions to us. what politicians inspired this lunatic to go and kill three children andool. what drugs she prescribed? who prescribed them? they're all very important questions. in the media, they were afraid what the answer is going to be.
7:34 pm
>> joe biden has a new spokesman and his easter message is convincing we have the details when we return i've been studying a lot. i've been producing and directing for over 50 years. it's a very detailed thing and the pressure's all on me. i noticed i really wasn't quite as sharp as i was. my boss told me about prevagen and i started taking it. i feel sharper. my memory's a lot better. it just works. prevagen. at stores everywhere without a prescription.

>> joining "the today show" for the easter egg roll, he was asked if he would continue to host the event after 2024. and all i can say is that eggs are not the only thing scrambled at the white house. >> i plan on -- at least three or four more easter egg rolls 3 are you saying that you would be taking part in the upcoming election? >> well, i could be the guy that is there to help push the eggs out. >> does he not realize that he lives there? i'd like to see that demonstration of pushing out the eggs. >> looking like it's right at the edge, and doesn't know exactly where he's going to go,

ovulation egg, i don't know what's going to happen with joe and the egg, but knowing that it's something odd. >> and this lady rolled out a new spokesperson in the press room. >> and then president biden made an appearance at the easter egg roll as well. sometimes you have to expect a rotten egg or two. at least the cottontail family are not under federal investigation.
7:43 pm
>> throwing and egg yolk on a canvas and saying china, give me another $400,000. >> a simple act of kindness. >> i hope that that extends to the catholic service members at walter reed hospital. >> for 20 years, the archbishop says walter reed issued a cease and desist letter to the franciscans. i mean, all of this jeopardizes the first amendment religious practice about military members

and veterans, particularly sick ones that have served our country. they have a secular defense contractor, you cannot make this stuff up on holy week. >> giving their own inspiration and concealment, i'm sure that that could be part of it. i prefer the bunny at the podium, personally. >> thank you. >> laura: the horrific student attack on riley gaines last week, the college did not apologize. instead students were praised. we have more coming up next
