this weekend and it was a whirlwind romance invasion and no specific commitments were announced, but i guess when you know, you know. in a fair and even big promo video was shown. >> laura: very exciting. no, he said. urging europe not to become followers of ours on the china question and basically they have been arguing for their entire tenure now and as it stands right now the foreign policy is the definition of insanity. they say it is a logical and self-defeating. first, we are spending a fortune in the proxy war against ukraine. and second, continuing to demand nothing but love from europe in return. and third, we say nothing publicly when a manual micron stabs us in the face over china and taiwan. and fourth, we continue to make china rich by trading with them

as a most favored nation and the massive trade surplus helps them to continue the military buildup which is threatening a military takeover of taiwan. and number six, military leaders are doubting our ability to defend taiwan. so i ask you tonight, how does any of this make any sense? and remember with great fanfare, joe biden thought that he could build an alliance with europe by essentially sucking up to them. >> when autocrats are challenging the foundations, the strength of the transatlantic alliance and our commitment to nato is more important than it has ever been before. the alliance is closer than ever and more united than ever. >> laura: he was wrong, republicans in congress can certainly vote to keep funding the defense of europe, but they shouldn't ever expect that

europe will do anything for us in return. it is literally a gift for the american taxpayers to a continent that has just come to hate us. and there's absolutely no point at all as we are analyzing any of this as we blame emmanuel macron. they are just telling us all finally the truth. europeans do not care that china has become in many ways more powerful than the united states and they seem to welcome it because they think that it gives them more leverage over us. and the fact that emmanuel macron is making all of this clear, the angle thinks it's a good thing, not a bad thing. and now we know, france has given china and now we need to

make hard choices about what to do between now and then and they repeatedly violate their promise to spend at least 2% of gdp on defense and the climate change edicts were harmful to our interests. >> the biggest foe, competitor, globally right now, who do you think that is? >> i think that the european wouldn't think of the european union, but in a trade since they have really taken advantage of us in that way. >> he was 100% right. he knew that europe would never support us against china. when the globalist figurehead, joe biden, ended up in the white house, the establishments pro europe was given another coit

understand the threat both from russia and china and that they have been put together by president joe biden's field policies, but the statements were a true propaganda victory. and that is bad for the people of the united states, we need to make sure that president joe biden should go out immediately and make people understand that we are not the problem, although emmanuel macron suggested that somehow this was our problem. the whole world knows that. the people of france should make sure that get their heads on straight. emmanuel macron has always resented the united states. >> laura: clearly germany and france are problems and former

president trump pointed out with energy addiction, and eastern europe is eastern europe, they will always have more sense than western europe. but nevertheless we are carrying france and germany at this time and most of the military, and we get paid back for that. and that is insane. i think that donald trump was right. they are not allies of us. >> what emmanuel macron did is absolutely indecent for france in europe over the last 67 years, it is just not reflective of the greatness of the nation and i remember being in those meetings and that is china's party listening to you until we finally get the united kingdom and some of the other countries

to come around. a symptom of what you are identifying as the larger problem. the other thing that joe biden has long and causes him to cozy up to these folks is the climate agenda and end up boat, the western european powers this is something that they don't understand, these folks are putting america way at the back. >> laura: john kirby had a comment about this current situation and tried to downplay it. >> we are able to maintain the lines of communication even throughout the tensions.

[inaudible] >> mr. secretary, this is sheer begging for a meeting by the joe biden people to president xi and you know him, how do the chinese see that kind of supplicant? >> well, this is a green light. an absolute opposite of the deterrence model that we had. but they fly us by balloon, they did collect information and then they begged to have them sent back over there. this is only creating risk for the united states, this is what emmanuel macron gets wrong as well. he is on the side of north

korea. and to say that we are just going to send janet yellen over there plays into the hands of president xi. we should demand things, we should treat it with repressive paucity, we should stop. and we should treat it with reciprocity. >> laura: thank you, mr. secretary. many in his own party are reviled. ultimately, one of the most frivolous and infantile moves imaginable, turning his 2024 reelection messaging apparatus over to tiktok and instagram influencers. how sad and pathetic.

the so-called army of influencers could just work. twenty now is kellyanne conway. you know, i think that it is easy to laugh this off that he is not capable of real campaigning and so they need many candidates to go across the country and get people where they live. especially young people. >> yes, they do. in that way it is a smart strategy. and i think it's communication, no matter who you are and where you are, and yet they want president joe biden to delegate and advocate the responsibility of the president to communicate with certain audiences. and they cannot wait for the young to get old.

we cannot be beaten on this policy wise. i think that we have already won the policy on the economy, education, a number of issues, we have done some work to do, yg people that think differently on guns, abortion or climate change. but the message can be really cynical. the thing that i am concerned about is that the left is a turnout machine with young people. influencers have this domino effect and if they succeed that way, we are not doing a good job competing for ballots or votes. the candidates lost the early voting miserably last time. i think doctor oz lost over 4-1. so we need to compete for ballots and not just voters. i have faith in the american

people. >> laura: kellyanne, it seems like you make an excellent point. it seems like there were publicans are trying to play catch up. and you know the early voting, the folks that run all of this, the republican outlets that are supposed to be getting it right this time, what are they doing and are they lining up their own channels for early voting and will that happen this time. >> some states listen better than others as to what was going on. you see states like florida and georgia, they are able to have states like those who are way behind.

and the other thing is many of the voters on our side have gotten mixed messages from some of the candidates themselves, showing up on election day, they have doubt about machines, they don't trust it. and i don't mind all of the compelled measures that became codified. it is crazy that led to these measures. and that's right, if this is the new normal, let's get a little bit more normal. you cannot catch up on election day. when there's been a month of early voting. >> laura: not going to happen. lesson not learned this time, they are going to say the heck with this party. they have to do it. >> laura: they have been lionized as the tennessee three, but not only are they racist, but they are building a political profile on the backs of the children. and speaking of tennessee, where is the nashville killer
