>> absolutely. i think they're right because it's like a dam if you've got a leak. if you don't figure out with are it is that leak get worse and worse. my experience in the years in congress looking at it from an oversight perspective is they've really got to look at the contractors. there are far too men a people that have security clearances,inga to this information, and there's ways to get it duplicated and out there into the public. i'm glad they're tracing it but they need to wrap it up and find it very quickly. >> you know, judith miller echoed your point. shed the following here, she said as long as washington continues massively classifying even mundane information and as long as government agencies fail to protect material that can truly cause damage, national security, such leaks are likely to continue. it's the whole point. you can't keep track of all this stuff and who's got what.

>> 30 years ago senator moynahan from new york pointed out when everything's classified nothing's classified. we didn't learn from the commission that was set up. yn think we need to do another one. they're estimating between one and 5,000 people potentially had access to these documents. that's not a tight-knit group that would give you confidence. if you're on the battlefield, you want that many people knowing what's going on? it needs to be a much tighter group. >> this is stuff coming from the cia, the nsa as well as the department of defense. so you know this is coming from a bunch of different agencies and who knows how many people. you final thoughts. >> it is compartmentalized. it's not as if one computer gets non-classified and classified information. griffin the breadth and the number of agencies again i think contractors are first and forepost on the list of suspicion. they gotta figure it out and figure it out quickly.

about not just with u.s. japan, u.s. south korea relations, we were talking to our allies about taiwan, something that we would not have had just few years back. the main takeaway from our delegation in all of our meetings, meeting with prime minister in japan, president in south korea and president in taiwan after she came back from meeting with speaking kevin mccarthy here in californium. the growing concern about aggression from china on taiwan is real. our friends are talking about what are we going to do and that was our purpose of the trip, going to asia, rallying our allies and partners about contingency plans in taiwan. >> china's milter said after those large-scale combat exercises, that it is ready to fight. that what you think is what's the temperature over there? it seems like things are heating up. >> things are heating up, it

than reality but the city's former fire commissioner would likely beg to differ. this newly released security camera video was his reality last week when he was beaten outside his parent's home after asking a group of homeless men to move away from the front of the property. the commissioner remains in the hops with a fractured skull. the 24 year old who allegedly smashed the commissioner's skull with a metal pipe told his attorney the commissioner pepper sprayed him first. the san francisco crime crisis is also a reality rather than a perception. for whole foods, which closed danite flagship city center store monday, quote, to ensure the safety of our team members prompting district supervisor matt dorsey to say the clothesser, quote "is exhibit a as to why san francisco can no longer afford not to solve our police understaffing crisis. " up the coast in portland, oregon, downtown businesses are also shutting down.

because the city is not dealing with it. the insane asalem is our neighborhood and that's what's become of san francisco. >> it's such a mess you have the mayor now asking for federal help to try and quell some of this crime. what are your thoughts? >> i think it's a four-foal thing that going on here in these cities is that 1, the godliness of our country and the godliness of people in our city, the lack of parenting, parents aren't raising their kids to become productive adults. there's a huge component of mental health issues that are not being addressed whatsoever. i think they blame it on a drug crisis or saying that these people are addicted to drugs, it's some type of illness. it's mental illness that causing people to self-medicate with drugs. then fourth and final thing i think is very obvious id argue that stevie wonder can see it is the lack of law enforcement. if you don't have police officers ready and available in the city to address these issues when you

have homelessness you have people getting attacked in the streets it's just going to continue. these people are opportunistic and they're going to take advantage of it. >> speaking of cities that don't really care very much about law enforcement, chicago is been of them. this is year and a day going to april 9. the murder rate up 22%, roary plus 30%, theft plus 41%, vehicle theft plus 253% and people wonder why the walmarts are leaving. it's not just because sales are down, which they are, they've got an issue in chicago city-wide. >> a hundred percent. there's no leadership in chicago. it's cute to say we don't need law enforcement, we need more people that are in the industry of communicating in a different form or fashion, i don't know what other industry they could think of but we feed law enforcement and good police officers. tenured police officers are absolutely leaving the force and

then also you can't recruit because if you're demonize police you demonetize police, you've essentially taken away the humanity of police officers, they are going to leave. and then the ones that are still there, they're not going to be pro ack f in policing. as a former police officer, one of the best tools in curbing crime is to be pro ack f. go pro active go out and get it before they cause more victims in the city. >> here is the mayor elect brandon johnson talking about just that, watch. >> i'm confidence that people are fully aware that when we talk about investments that we have to be strategic and smart about it. when you spin more per capita on policing here in chicago than you do anywhere else in the world and we're still not as safe, you know, people start to call that into question. >> i mean, brandon, he's always hedging about police. he's not a fan. >> well, yeah, i mean, we'll see how that plays out because laurie dirt a foot is what i

about monday's mass shooting in louisville. lauren blanchard has stijn video and she is here now to break it down for us. >> good evening, trace. the body cam footage from the two responding officers shows us exactly the did you knower they were running into, an am bush, facing rounds of builts before they were even out of their car. in the video nicholas wilt who had just graduated from the police academy two weeks ago and his training officer cory gallo way, run up the steps. some shooter was firing, wilt was struck in the head and immediately is on the ground. galloway is able to get down the steps and take cover. from there as more officers arrive, galloway fires at the suspect, killing him. galloway yells quote, i think he's down, suspect down, get the officer. wilt remains in critical but stable condition after

order tonight because of a large industrial fire that broke out on earlier this evening at a former factory site that was being used to store mostly plastics for recycling or le sale. the fire apparently started in a trailer. you can so some of the flames there, and the smoke is the big concern here because when you have plastics burning, as you know, a lot of that smoke can be toshing, which is why you have all of thee evacuations. there was a tractor trailer that first started it. it was on site, it quickly spread, and then the residents are in the evacuation zone. but they are down wind from the site which is good news. they have all been advised to keep their windowed closed and pets inside. we'll deep you updated as the breaking news coming in to fox news at night.
