because he decided to indict the former president of the united states. jim jordan said hey, i would love for you to come to congress and explain yourself. because, after all, this has become a federal issue. in response, alvin bragg very defensive. he comes out and is suing jim jordan and here's a passage from. this members of congress are not free to invade new york sovereign authority for their or mr. trump's political aims. congress has no authority to conduct oversight into district attorney bragg's exercise of his duties under new york law in a single case involving a single defendant. however, you made it a national case by making this a national story by saying you violated a federal law. and for him not to ask questions about why you get involved in election in 2024 with the declared candidate who was once president and not think there is going to be any interest from that president's party, i think is folly. >> ainsley: here is the lawsuit right here. i don't know how many pages. >> steve: it's a lot. >> ainsley: about 50 pages. >> brian: a lot of typing, a lot of attorney.

testify. he has been subpoenaed already and he has apparently -- you know, he is not voluntarily going to go. but if he is subpoenaed, he will go. and that's why the judge is having a hearing that day to figure out whether or not, you know, mr. jordan is going to be able to compel mr. mom rants to testify. mr. pomerantz is going to say when i was i was in the d.a. office you i uncovered a lot of criminal crimes committed by donald trump and the trump organization. if he gets on the stand and start saying that why did we call this guy in again? oh, i remember, it was to say alvin bragg dropped the case double edged soared freans hakes said. >> ainsley: pomerantz is not a friend of crump. he left the d.a. to write that book about why trump should be indicted. jim jordan was on last night. and he was responding to alvin bragg's allegations that he is obstructing trump probe.

>> , our investigation bret we have duty to get to the facts particularly when you have a district attorney interfering with the most important election we have which is election of the commander-in-chief. the president of the united states. and understand what happened here, alvin bragg used federal funds to indict a former president for no crime. and then when we asked questions about it. when we want to investigate. he takes us to court. and he takes us to court because we want to talk to someone who left the d.a.'s office a year ago. who went out and wrote a book on this very subject did all kinds of introduce. was pushing to go after president trump before he got there, while he got there. when he left, he wrote a book about it, we are not allowed to talk to him to do our duty. they are obstructing our constitutional duty to do oversight. >> brian: you guys should all be alarmed that a government has been for lack of a better term to steal the term weaponized to go after one man. whether you are anti-trump or pro-trump or walks on water or should have never been president regardless. the blizzard of lawsuits and

obstructions in this state in particular as the president comes back to have his books examined to take the fifth in front of a district attorney, excuse me, an attorney general. that is obsessed with him. they loved him when he was a businessman. and host of the atisz. they hate him now. now, for jim jordan to push back and fight back and make them accountable for these lawsuits they are putting at him on the same day or the day after we find out that joe biden's administration did know about the raid on mar-a-lago. they weren't -- they were feigning shock at the fact that they raided his place and found these boxes with classified documents in it. so you can't continue a tack one person or one woman down the line like this. now, whether the person walks -- is perfect or imperfect regardless. this is -- this attack is out of control. and this guy is leading the republican race. the republican race for president in 2024. and that's democrats nuts.
