president but right now according to the polls donald trump and ron desantis, governor of florida are ahead of you. how do you beat donald trump and beat ron desantis? >> well, i'm about where donald trump was when he came down that escalator in june of 2015. this is a long race. frankly we are already making progress here in states like new hampshire. started at zero, already have surged in the polls already and going further. i will tell you this, the biggest joke in american politics right now is the idea that ron desantis isn't running for president. you see that with this ad now. i would like to welcome him to this race. i love ron desantis' message he got it from me. is he actually reading "woke inc." and putting that in his teleprompter as his message. is he running on the book it's not the one he wrote it's "woke inc.." great the way he has governed in the state of florida. who we want in the white house it can't be a professional politician. i think we need an outsider and independent thinker that's what i'm bringing to the table. >> steve: so you just took a shot at ron desantis.
4:44 am
i have noticed that donald trump has not taken a shot at you yet and you haven't taken a shot at trump. why is that? >> well, look, i'm not running against trump. the shot i'm taking against desantis is point two week delay that i say campaign trail comes out in ron desantis' words and makes blush. when it comes to trump we are both sousers. are going to take an outsider in the white house. i'm not afraid to make my case for contrast. first millennial candidate to run for president as a republican. i'm doing it with a positive vision to actually lead our country forward. i don't think we can tolerate another career politician in the white house. that's for the democrats to put up career politicians like joe biden. but i think if we want an outsider, the question is now who is actually going to deliver national unity while going further? i'm the candidate who i think can take america first further than any candidate ever has but also unify the country in the process because i'm doing it based on principles and putting the country first. so that's why i'm in this race.
