latest on the intelligence leak this week that was massive. jillian, what's the latest? >> well, sean, it was just a couple weeks ago that the national security council insisted there was no truth to this claim that china planned to send lethal aid to russia's military to help on the war in ukraine but now the so called discord leaks telling a different tale. the russian intelligence revealing china approved a plan to send aid to russia earlier this year as laid out in the documents stolen by leaker jack teixeira of the air national guard. what is more alarming perhaps the document dated february 23rd classified top secret shows the chinese plan to disguise weapons and equipment they were sending overseas as civilian items. this according to the washington post. this intelligence has yet to be proven, but if corroborated, directly undermines those white house claims. >> i would tell you, what i said yesterday remains true, we don't think china's taken it off the table but they haven't moved in

that direction. we've seen no indication that they're about to or are fixing to provide lethal weapons. >> after president biden ordered the military to take out that chinese spy balloon that breached us air space he said he planned to raise the incident with president xi directly himself in a phone call and hold him accountable. that was now ten weeks ago. as you know sean the call still has not happened. >> sean: jillian thank you for that report we appreciate it. as biden spent the week embarrassing himself and the u.s. and ireland, china's dangerous coalition grew larger. even fake news cnn are raising the alarm about the number of world leaders now rushing to meet with president xi of china. let me be very clear. these countries have made a deliberate calculated decision to side with china. in other words, they're betting on china being the dominate world leader in the world. and, you know what? that's not good for us because it's always been the united states that they looked to. they are seeing nothing but

weakness under joe biden and failed leadership under joe biden, and under president trump, they saw strong leadership. that's why we saw a coalition that was built, that i didn't think we'd ever see in our lifetime, that included the united states, israel, saudi arabia, the uae, jordan, baja rain and egypt all bet on the us when donald trump was president. that coalition was built by donald trump and it is now crumbling day by day right before our eyes. now they're betting on china. they don't want to be on the wrong side in terms of what country ultimately wins out and is the world's most dominate super power. now last month china brokered a deal between the saudis and the iranians, i never thought i would see that in my lifetime, many are speculating it will throw its weight into a deal between saudi arabia and syria that we hear is next. according to the leaked

documents uae and russia has deepened their ties while egypt who we give billions of dollars to allegedly planned to secretly send weapons to russian. so even our allies are abandoning joe biden and betting against america. look what happened with the french president macron, the leader of our oldest ally visiting china last week sucking up to and kissing the ass of president xi in china and, by the way, throwing the u.s. under the bus over the issue of taiwan before urging europe to move away from their dependency on the u.s. dollar, the world's currency. now despite some backlash over his outlandish comments macron is even standing by his remarks. tonight i have a message from president macron. you are setting a dangerous precedent. you are damaging ties with the country that has bailed you out time and time again throughout history, and if that's your

number two, do you believe history repeats itself? >> sean i do agree with you that axis of evil centered around bee engining is emerging, in large part because of joe biden's weakness and his tendency to blame america and its allies first and of course history can repeat itself. we are no different from those who fought in world war ii or world war one or civil war or revolutionary war we read about in the bible because human nature is timeless and unchanging therefore we are prone to the same mistakes if we don't learn from the lessons of history and that's what joe biden has not done. almost every instance you laid out are a result of joe biden's incompetence weakness and tendency to blame america first. look at the president of brazil. he's left wing, he's critical if not openly hostile of america, typical of many left wing leaders that have come to power in recent years in latin america. joe biden doesn't say a word negative about them. what happens you have them running off to beijing or

their bets because they're worried about american resolve and strength under president biden. you mentioned several egypt saudi arabia the united arab emirates israel, we left president trump brokered peace agreements between israel and its neighbors. we were hoping for a peace deal between israel and saudi arabia. what we got was a chinese agreement between iran and saudi arabia. and what you see is president biden creating daylight or or as president beside obama used to say. israel or the united arab 'em rates make them a pariah. they live in tough neighborhoods that have security needs. america has helped them achieve those security objectives. if we're not going to do it they're not going to go away they're going to look elsewhere which is why you see china playing a role in middle east that is unhelpful and harmful to american. >> sean: senator last question almost daily the communist

chinese are threatening us directly. they are threatening our navy in the straits of taiwan or the south china sea. international waterways. what should the u.s. response be to that? >> well, every time china, or for that matter russia or iran threatens our navy or aircraft saying they can't sail here or they can't fly there, we should basically make that our new rout that we're going to travel to show china and russia and iran that they can't bully us. more on the long term front, we have to significantly increase our defense spending and invest in the kinds of weapons and aircraft and ships that are going to deter china and russia and iran and make it clear to them that not only do we have the resolve to defend our interest but we have the ability to do so as well. >> sean: senator cotton great to have you. thank you sir >> china is rushing to fill the void after biden advocated our role as the world's only super power and their aggression is on

full display with threats against america and the rest of the world. now the chinese army released this video earlier this week on state television simulating, take a look at this, what an attack on taiwan would look like in just the latest valid threat. i don't even think it's valid anymore. honestly it's probably a fay decome plea like vladimir putin in lead-up to invading ukraine. everyone saying he probably isn't going to invade. that probably is a good indication they have plans and will do this. remember last year they told nancy pelosi there would be a firm response if she dared to visit taiwan. they issued a similar warning to speaker kevin mccarthy ahead of his meetings with taiwan's president last week in california. they told the u.s. not to cross the red line on taiwan. they warned, quote, of the worst consequences for any country that offers taiwan any military support. they sent that spy balloon, which collected, in real time,

sensitive intelligence, relayed it back in real time to china. and, of course, they flew over alaskan air space down the west coast of canada, all across the continental u.s. idaho missouri kansas kentucky the carolinas and when biden finally authorized the military to shoot that spy balloon down after it sailed off the coast of south carolina, china, what did they do? they just issued another threat. so will biden respond to all of these threats? because so far he has not done a thing. he hasn't done anything with russia either, and they took our drone out of the sky. now, we doubt it because china unleashed covid on the world. joe biden did nothing. they sent a spy balloon over all of the continental u.s. right over our military sites relaying sensitive intelligence right back to beijing in real time. joe biden did nothing. they committed rampant intellectual property theft, they don't stop with their intellectual property theft and they get away with it, no

consequences. they constructed blatantly unfair trade deals joe biden never confronts them. he just talks about what a great relationship and how many miles he's flown with president xi over the years. so how many threats will they issue before biden actually does something? they're literally rushing to assert their dominance, fill the void left after joe biden relinquished our role as the leader of the world. so we need a strong response, we need real leadership to counter this growing china threat but i don't think you can count on joe biden and the current gutless administration. one last thought. i would like to know and i think the american people need to know, how much money in business did joe biden and his family do with china and russia and ukraine and every other foreign enemy and hostile regime against the united states. how much money in business did they do? when will we get that answer? do we have a politicized fbi?

do we have a weaponized doj? that's why that investigation's ongoing. here with reaction fox news contributor joey jones and fox news contributor former cia station chief dan hoffman. dan we'll start with you, you're the intel expert. what is china likely thinking? i'll never forget when we were in singapore in vietnam, you gave me a lot of dire warnings about china. >> yeah. look, taiwan sits on the geopolitical fault line between democracy and dictatorship and it's a very dangerous place for us to be if we're not giving them all the support they need. back in february, director burns from the cia said that china was planning to have the capability to invade taiwan by 2027. china considers taiwan a break away province even though they've never ruled it and the challenge i think for the united states is that we've got to give taiwan more of what they need to make it prohibitively costly for china in terms of spilled blood

and treasure. learn from what happened in ukraine where we failed to deter vladimir putin. let's try to do what we can to deter the chinese. that means giving taiwan a lot of what we should be giving more of to ukraine, javelin anti tank weapons, joey can speak to this more than i, but coastal air defense, all the things taiwan needs, get them the f16 aircraft that they need as well. >> sean: joey, let's get your take on all of this and your assessment of real clear what i view as a present danger. >> yeah, i think wa the american people need to understand is china's never changed their terminology or outlook on this, they've just been waiting until they've had the strength and opportunity to act on it. we saw what happened in hong kong, you know, we took out their biggest enemy in japan in world war ii the next biggest threat with the fall of the soviet union ussr and what has been in the way ever since not much of anything especially not us. as far as our ability to help taiwan, i agree with dan, that is the most obvious path

forward, but, i mean, the erin p people have to sit here and say, are we willing to fund with either treasure or blood two wars at the same time with two countries we don't actually have a mutual defense treaty with and that's the problem with the position american politicians have put us in. it makes sense toss defend taiwan but we're going through a restructuring in the pacific looking to take eight years to create forcess that would allow us to defend our own back door against china. how are we going to arm taiwan if it's going to take us a decade to arm ourselves? it seems to me there's a lot of mismanagement or at least a lack of ability between congress, our military leaders to be prepared for what is the threat in front of us. you know, even marine corps that are retired are very much in dispute with the current marine corps generals leading the marine corps on this plan because we had to sell out all our land finding capabilities in order to pay for an eight year plan to defend the pacific. so we're not in a great place with our own military and how

many men and women are going to send their sons and daughters to defend another country. i'm not saying they should or shouldn't. that's just where the american taxpayer is. as far as our ability to defend a war, that's my ability and the taxpayer's ability to keep creating and funding war. >> sean: final question for both of you. do you think if china invades taiwan that america, under joe biden, will lift a finger? i don't believe he will. i don't think he'll do a darn thing. he'll talk about sanctions, this and that. i don't think he's going to do anything military. dan hoffman? >> well, i'll turn the question around a little bit, sean. what matters is what china believes. if they don't believe that the united states is ready to step in and defend die juan, that will enter into their calculus. just one thing for people to think about. >> sean: let's assume it happens. do you think joe biden will act? i don't think he will. >> i do actually believe the administration would act. i think there would be a lot of pressure coming from the congress and i think there's

bipartisan consensus from democrats and republicans. sean, it's like the only thing we can find where democrats and republicans actually agree. >> sean: we going to have a war with china over taiwan? you really think that's going to happen? i'm not laughing about it, i'm, you know, talking about our sons and daughters and national treasure here. >> well, we're talking about losing a lot of national treasure if china assumes taiwan's economy and that semi conductor industry that's so important to us, not to mention the fact it's the same reason we're helping ukraine, to allow a nuclear arm state to take over another. look, a good debate to have. joey makes good points about spilling our own blood and treasure in a far away place. my relatives did that in the second world war and that's kind of what we do. we go out there in the hard places and defend our country's interests but a good debate to have. >> sean: joey, if china does invade taiwan, do you think joe biden lifts a finger short of anxiouses and a lot of rhetoric. >> sean you could have asked me if you thought joe biden would

people's first amendment rights. i'm jonathan hunt. now back to hannity. ♪ >> sean: welcome back to this special edition of hannity. chinese president xi, he's going to be a major force in the world for many years to come. he basically seized a lifetime of power from the chinese communist party. they just extended his term unanimously. but who is this man? what do you know about president xi who will be leading our biggest adversary geopolitical foe for the rest of his life. 's been in the ccp since the 70s studies chemical engineering in college served as the governor the chinese province closest to taiwan and pry niece secretary of shanghai before ascending to the vice-presidency of china and spending some quality file with, yep, you got it, vice-president joe biden. xi has now ruled china since

2013. so how worried should you, the american people, be about that man, right there, next to your president? especially the fact that we have a very weak, frail and cognitive mess as president of the united states? let's ask some people studying xi for a while. author of the strategy of denial, eldridge kolby is with us, from the heritage foundation and michael author of the hundred year marathon. michael let's start with you and get your take on this. who is this man? do you believe that this threat is real? i believe it's probably fairly eminent, meaning within the next year, that this taiwan issue will be resolved and president xi will take it over. am i wrong? >> to some degree you're wrong, yeah. i can tell you what president trump thought of mr. xi. trump spent many hours with him

negotiated some really tough agreements. the chinese side used to say about president trump that he was super smart, they in some sense feared him. president xi can deploy a worldwide group of lobbyists in every major capitol of the world including washington, dc, and he does that. the xi jinping i've been studying knows how to manipulate information and create groups that support china. so, yes, we can list 20 or 30 things that china does that are really bad starting out with covid, technology theft, taiwan threat, you name it. but what xi jinping does with these units he has around the world, he fights back against the china threat theory. he says we love confucius, we love peace, stick with us. and then he rewards the people who are cheerleaders for them, he rewards them with money sometimes very large amounts in the hundred million dollars or more. so you're dealing with somebody who's very shrewd, he appeals to the hawks in china. he used to be a reformer, new

york times had a very famous mistake one time when they said xi jinping is going to be the reformer of china. that's because he did bring a lot of money in into the provinces where he was the leader but he also has a second side that he brings up ancient proverbs. and he leaves the impression in the next ten or 15 years china will do the same thing overthrowing the old americans so this is the scary part of xi the number of references to the ancient past. >> sean: but he talks constantly about reunification, it's not reunification he wants to take over taiwan. that's issue number one. and he didn't say this during the trump years and he's openly threatening our navy and military and any military on the face of this earth, openly threatening them that if you side with taiwan they will destroy you. that didn't happen during the trump years. donald trump's not president right now. joe biden is. >> yeah.

>> sean: so he seems more committed to fulfilling his territorial ambitions, and i believe emerging as the world's dominate leader because america's advocated that role under joe biden. am i wrong on that point? >> i think there's a huge difference between trump's approach and biden's approach. but don't forget. president trump had to fire his secretary of state, his secretary of defense, two national security advisors because, in part, they had the wrong idea on china. trump was a solo sort of hero to take on china and reverse previous years of policy. i think xi jinping saw that, and xi jinping thought that congress is his only hope. he can block new legislation, which the chinese have done. no really good legislation has passed the congress in the last seven or eight years to deal with the china threat. that's where xi jinping has also been very smart. he knows how to manipulate the u.s. congress. that's the scariest thing about the china threat. the old soviet union could not

do that, sean. they didn't know how to manipulate the media and the us congress and they took it on the chin credit the cold war. chinese are much clever than that and you have to thank donald trump for seeing through this. he told me many times xi jinping is a very smart guy. >> sean: michael the only difference is, he's not there anymore and they're acting very differently. >> congress is there sean. congress could do something about it. >> sean: okay, so eldridge, let me ask you, do you believe that china will fulfill their promise, their territorial ambition as it relates to taiwan and do you take their threat that they will destroy any country, in this case threatening directly our navy in the south china sea and the area they will obliterate it. those were not things we heard from president xi when donald trump was president. and i do believe that michael's right and that was they feared donald trump. they not only feared him but

they thought he was crazy enough that he'd do it. and that fear was a great motivation for them to stay in line. they don't have that fear anymore, in my view. who do you agree with me or michael? >> well, thanks, sean. i very much agree with you and i want to make three points. one, this man we should take as seriously as a heart attack. this is a man who has ascended in incredibly ruthless and political system and consolidated control and overturned 40 years of tradition. he lived five years in a cave as a young man so we better take him extremely seriously. there's a phrase that michael knows better than i which is in china in political circles there's an anaconda wrapped around nice chandeliers in hotel rooms. they're always thinking in lethal mindset. and you're right and i applaud you to bringing attention how serious and real and serious a taiwan conflict would be. it would not be confined to

taiwan and the sea. here's the thing, the stakes are enormously consequential. you're right they seek to become dominate. how do we know that? we can see the moves they're making, great power diplomacy and the military they're building which is for global power projection and dominance. they're looking to unseat the dollar. so what do we do? i agree with senator cotton over time we have to increase defense spending but that's just going to be to keep up with the chinese and it's going to take a long time and there's a lot of road blocks. i wish there weren't but that's where we were. we're looking at 2027. as you look out possibly if we're lucky could be 28 but we have to act as if it's right now and we cannot ignore that. and i've got to say sean i think you were right earlier on in the show to say this, the biggest threat right now is china and we don't have enough to go around and that goes back decisions 15 years, we have to prioritize and especially people on our side of the spectrum has to hold the administration's feet to the
