some salacious details slowly trickling out. alicia: yeah, what about any ideas about potential accomplices, other people involved here. >> so far we haven't seen much and we haven't even heard much on the scene about other accomplices, it looks to be one-on-one crime, but we'll see. alicia: and the sister is obviously going to be brought into all this and she'll be questioned about the text messages. there were face time videos between, it looks like the suspect and the victim at one point, once they unlocked the phones. just so much to this. so many people are going to be watching this play out, aren't they? >> yeah, absolutely. look, it's just san francisco at its finest, right? more crime coming from san francisco. 300 murders last year, murders are up 20% this year. to date, armed robberies up 13%. i realize this isn't an isolated crime, but from the victim's family perspective, it really doesn't make a difference. when you don't have police officers on the street, when you have defunded the police we

just see these crimes emanating more and more in the cities that made the decision to defund the police. >> let's talk about that a little bit more. the mayor of san francisco kind of pushed back on elon musk when he said this is the reason i left silicon valley and people were upset people were talking about crime in general when it comes to san francisco and the bay area. at first, everyone thought this could be a stranger thing, someone out of nowhere and random act of violence. your point is, it doesn't change the fact that this crime occurred in the city. >> absolutely, the victim doesn't care necessarily who did the crime, but when you have a city that's known for lawlessness, a city that's effectively defunded the police, a city that has 600 police openings because they can't fill them because morale is so low, these are the sorts of issues that we see. it's so bad right now on the streets of san francisco, i don't think that the zodiac killer would leave his house, it's so darned dangerous. alicia: there's definitely

is the latest against bragg since a grand jury indictment against former president donald trump just two weeks ago in a case brought by bragg. trump pleaded not guilty to 34 felony counts of falsifying business records related to hush money payments. this tuesday, d.a. bragg filed a federal lawsuit against house committee chairman jim jordan alleging the residential lawmaker is trying to wage a campaign of intimidation over his prosecution of the former president. and bragg is asking to subpoena what jordan has in regards to handling of the trump case. friday on fox, jordan says he's undeterred. >> everything is on the table because we think we owe it to the american people when you have a district attorney interfering in the most important federal election we have and he used federal tax dollars as part of his indictment of the former president, then we think it's incumbent upon us to do the investigation and that's what
