been impacted by this soft on crime policy. turns out when you don't put bad guys in jail, they do bad things. when you don't lock criminals up, you get more crime. imagine that that is exactly what we are seeing not only in new york city but every big city around this country and driven by these left wing d.a.s who come in with a political agenda and instead of focusing on people, families, communities and small business owners, they are all about politics. we are seeing it almost like every night now you see some senseless act of violence on our screens that happen on the subway or on the city street. and it's just wrong. and we are going to hear from people like mr. alba as you mentioned. ms. blame who lost a son. we will hear from a democrat city council member democrat who understands this is not supposed to be partisan. justice is supposed to be blind and protecting our streets. >> ainsley: a lot of democrats voted for lee zeldin because of

this issue. everyone in new york is tired of the crime. what is the goal here? many democrats are criticizing republicans for doing this because this is about trump being indicted by alvin bragg. is this to -- is it a result of that or to highlight these democratic run cities? >> it's the latter. look we anticipate doing n other cities. talk with the chairman of our subcommittee mr. biggs. we anticipate going to other cities where it's just a as bad as new york city. here because of what mr. braggs is doing using federal gundz to indict a former president for no crime, and then when we want to talk with sun someone he takes us to court. when we want to do our constitutional duty of oversight he takes us to court. for a guy who hasn't worked there in a year. so instead of photograph cussing on what he should be doing keeping bad guys off the street protecting people of this great city is he focused on politics. there is that contradiction. it's about the victims and that's who we will hear from today. >> will: to follow up on ainsley's question what do you in washington, d.c.

you were only a few blocks away from where the bombing happened. your wife was running in the marathon tell me about that day. >> i was in the firehouse about five blocks from the finish line waiting for my wife to finish. i heard my captain on the radio call off that they had two separate blast sites and mass casualty incident. i grabbed my gear. there was another firefighter who had just finished the race. asked me what was going on. he grabbed gear. my wife came through the door which was a blessing for me. she had just the people on the scene did incredible job. starting with the gentleman to my right. and hundreds just like him and danny, who sean was the lieutenant in charge block of second blast sight was the firefighters. danny was in charge of the police officers up on that very

sim block where the blast site was. point out blast site one was a lot of medical expertise there. there were doctors, nurses, paramedics and e.m.t.s staged at the medical tent there probably 100 medical professionals. where they were a few blocks up they really didn't have that much help. they did incredible job up there. >> ainsley: i know you were a first responder there at the bombings. you were also in new york city after 9/11 so we thank you for your service. sean, i know your daughter lost a friend, right, in the race? >> yes. >> ainsley: tell me about that. >> our classmate. lost a classmate and dear friend. 10 years later, her and two other martin's classmates running the marathon in his honor. >> ainsley: wow. and then what do you want people people to know? because it has been 10 years. i know we were honoring the victims over the weekend. what do you want people around the country that aren't in

boston to know. >> there are better days ahead. and people that were truly affected by the events of 10 years ago have moved on. and prospered and endeavored to persevere and make a better life not only for themselves but fellow residents of boston. >> ainsley: and then sergeant, i know that mark walberg played your character in patriot's day. tell us about your memories of the bombing. >> i think we just lost him. ed, can you answer that question for me? because you mentioned that danny was involved. >> yeah. danny played a bigger role, as a matter of fact, if you listen to the police radio recordings, danny kind of took command of the orchestrated the response of the ambulances so they could move critical patients out. when they ran out of ambulances, the police through danny's leadership utilized paddy wagons
