help spread secrets leaked by jack teixeira. >> ainsley: push to find out how he had access to those in the first place. >> pete, ainsley and will, good morning, friends. even with one suspect into investigation into how classified materials were first stolen, disseminated in a gaming chat room and spread even further online remains ongoing. you mentioned the "wall street journal" report which says that materials were also posted on a telegram social media account with some 65,000 followers. the journal says one of the people who oversaw the page and its contents is a former non-commissioned u.s. navy officer who also supports russia in its war against ukraine. defense secretary lloyd austin ordered a review of the leak and how u.s. intention is shared throughout the military. on capitol hill, lawmakers remain furious over this leak. they have a lot of questions and want to know how the heck this happened in the first place. >> the system failed. this is a major failure.

the sources and methods of how we collect on adversaries have been compromised and i am stunned that somebody at that level could have so much access so the question is how did he get it and why did he do it and we -- some people need to be fired over this. >> in an op-ed posted on foxnews.com, a retired army officer writes that the documents leaked deserve a closer look. he says the leaked intelligence documents sound alarm bell regarding america's role in ukraine's war. it's past time that president biden level with the american people about our interest and whether our continued role in that war could escalate into something much worse. we are waiting to see whether or not this will have any impact on both the u.s. and ally strategy when it comes to ukraine. the white house repeatedly said it's in it for the long haul to help ukraine with whatever it needs. we don't expect the president to talk about the leak today no. public events on his schedule. but the man accused of leaking those documents in the first place is expected back in court a little bit later on this week.

policies. >> will: yeah, i think we have these stats where those watching at home can see this. but the new york city crime over the last two years. now, murder is down. you know, when rudy giuliani was mayor of new york city, he adopted a crime philosophy of the broken windows theory so prosecute small crimes. they don't metastasize into big crimes. you are looking at the opposite now. small crimes get by, shoplifting, larceny, how long until murder tracks? how long until big crimes group. let the small crimes go get the big crimes. put shoat felony cases down graded under alvin bragg. # 9% up to 52%. so, we're taking big crimes and we are turning them into small crimes and we are going to get more big crimes. >> that's what we have seen. if you look at the stats going back to 2019. murare up. violent crimes are up. you cannot open the newspaper every single day in new york and not see more coverage of heinous crimes. this impacts real people and real families. it's part of the research why people no longer feel safe and

what are her options really in that moment? she is able to get the knife away, charge at -- i can't imagine. again, this is los angeles, in february, he has a mask on. so masks are -- he is not real concerned about covid. using that as a guise to come in and walk behind the counter and pointing a knife directly at her. to grab the blade of a knife high likelihood of injury. >> will: and goes on offense. >> pete: when we watch a clip like that. i don't know anything about this perpetrator. is he a repeated offender? to your point about broken windows in new york city. how many times was one of those criminals gone into a store and been able to steal with impunity and then in the next moment it gets violent or they get more aggressive in that situation? it's a product of a lack of accountability case after case after case to the point where now someone's life is in jeopardy. i don't know if that's the case here but emblematic.
